Hello 2012!

Time flies and we are in the year 2012! Goodbye 2011! It was not an easy year. It started with a big bang but as we move towards the second half of the year, things started to change. It seems that the ecomony is slowing down. That also means wage freeze, no bonus or even pay cut.

Nonetheless, I had a great time celebrating 2012. The day started with work, when I make a trip to Pulau Ubin. Kinda of interesting to do countdown there. Weather was very warm, and I was drinking furiously to keep myself hydrated. Most pple were there with their family to enjoy the rustic laidback landscape.

Then at night, went over to a event near Marina Bay. We had lots of drinks and food. I was quite high and tired by the time I finished. Slept my whole day on the first day of the year. I guess it was a long day for me on the last work day of 2011. By the way, in another few day time, it will be my seventh anniversary with this company! woooooo....

I haven been blogging for the month of December. :P It was either I forgot or too busy. There were a few times I wanted to blog but I keep forgetting. haha.. Ok, I admit I may have been lazy. I hope to continue keep this blog alive as I record some of my interesting encouter during the year.

Reflecting 2011, I think I have to thank my dear for staying with me all this time and also bearing with me. Thanks dear! It has been another good year for us. 9 years going and we are still keeping it on. This year marks another phase in our life. I hope there will be more 9 years to go.

Life have been pretty good in 2011. I appreciate the opportunities given to me. I have been travelling quite a bit last year. To name a few

Pretty fun and it was great to venture to new territories. It is time to move on. In February, I would be heading Sydney. wooo... Though I have been there few years ago, this time, I have decided to drop by Canberra. I hope it will be another fulfilling and eye opener trip.

Singaporean Shun Jobs

Found an article from ST today and felt it reflect most Singaporeans tots about jobs. I guess many are still very picky when come to this kind of jobs. No wonder we need to bring in more FT to help boost the labour market.

"With their modest wages and unsociable weekend shifts, they are the jobs that Singaporeans shun.

Waiting tables, cleaning and working in telesales or as a retail or warehouse assistant are the least popular positions among citizens, 10 recruitment agencies told The Straits Times.

Workers continue to turn such jobs down despite a recent government bid to encourage firms to hire more Singaporeans rather than rely on foreigners.

Their main reasons for shunning these jobs are that they pay too little or involve awkward working hours"

I work awkward hours too. Weekends off is a luxury to me. Like wat the article mention, no social life most of the time. I have sacrifice 6 years so far. hahha, maybe I am quite alrite with this kind of arrangement? Well, I dun earn a lot too. lol. Most importantly, I am not a picky person. hahaa

Halloween Again!

On this very last day of October, its Halloween again. Well, had a wonderful time last weekend as most clubs celebrated Halloween. I was at St James with Eric and company. It was really fun.

People dressed up as Smurfs, Little Red Riding Hood, Nurses, Doctors, Sadam Hussein, Harry Potter, Ghost Buster, Victorian dressing, Ancient Chinese wear, witch and etc. Gosh, I had a good laugh at some of the dressing. Well, I guess more Singaporeans are aware of Halloween and have decided to hold Halloween party every year.

Well, it also brought me memories of how I learn about Halloween. The year was 2004. It was my first halloween trip to Dbl O! 7 years! Time flies and it was like yesterday. I think I have documented in this blog during that time. I was in shock initially. I mean halloween is a western festivity, it has never cross my mind it will be celebrated in such big scale in Singapore.

I recalled the last 7 years on how I celebrated this impt day. Most of the time, it was a trip back to Dbl O, to reminisce the good old days. Previously, there were so many activities and programs at Dbl o. If I recall correctly, we even went on a bus tour. Not only that, there was a halloween bus that brought pple to different club. Well, Dbl O had it this year and tickets were sold out. hahaha...

I prefer the good old days at Mohammed Sultan Road. Last year I attended the halloween celebration at the new Dbl O but it was kinda disappointing. This year, we decided to give it a miss and check out some other places. Still fun and I guess the celebration will go bigger with increase awareness!

Bangkok Flooded

Almost two months since I last blog. So much have happened during the last 2 months. Been busy with work and a lot of ongoing events. First it was National Day, then Presidential Election etc. Really lost touch with time and time passes so quickly. Before I knew it, 2 months have gone.

Just got back from a short trip from Bangkok. I have been to Bangkok million of time but this is the first time I feel so uncomfortable and worrying. Yep, the flood waters. News of flooding emerged more than a week ago. I thought it will be over by the time I travel to BKK. However, it din and added more anxiety to the trip.

I almost wanted to cancel the trip on the eve of travel. A friend who reach there earlier a day told me it was quite safe. Everything seems normal and weather is good. Well, coming from this friend was assuring to me. So the trip to BKK proceeded.

However, we remain vigilant throughout the trip. I read online news and watch local news report to keep myself abreast of the latest development. Every morning, I look at the canal behind my hotel to see if water have reached unsafe level. Thankfully, throughout the weekend, central Bangkok is spared from floodwater. Well, my hotel is also on a higher ground, so it's pretty safe.

The only thing that worries me is the lack of bottle water! Bottled water from minimart, convenience stores and supermarket were gone! I was at Siam Paragon foodcourt and bottled water were sold out!! Can you imagine the severity of the situation? I mean everyone is stock piling in view of the impending flood.

We boiled on tap water everyday. The hotel also provided us with 2 bottles everyday. And somehow, i tried to buy from roadside hawkers. The rest of the time, we survive on soft drinks, coconut juice, oranges juices. hahaa.. Oh yes, we also had beer!!! Despite the flooding, I went to a few first time places.

First it was Terminal 21, then it was Lebua State Tower Skybar! I have never been to these places before. One is a shopping mall that opened recently, the other is a rooftop alfresco drinking place. Pretty nice place next to Chao Phraya River. Yep, the same river that overflow and flooded some areas!

This morning, read from news report that part of Chinatown was flooded. Thankfully, I left. We travelled to Chinatown 2 days ago, now, partly indunated. Praying hard that Thai were tied over this crisis and water recede soon. I left with a heavy heart but hope things will be better tomorrow.

P1 Registration

I have been hearing stories of parents registering for their P1 kids. As usual, typical singaporeans who will do anything to get their kids into good school. No doubt I do agree that a good environment will nuture the kid into a good citizen, personally, I always believe in character that comes with the kid.

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to shape a kid, they resist and have their own kind of tots. I am not saying if you create an environment good enough, the kid will follow. There are times which it is proven wrong. No doubt this is a minority, the in born character is there. It is a matter of time. When something happen, it trigger something off the mind of the kid, and wala. No u-turn.

Look at this. Pictures that we always see on Stomp.

I believe they are also good kids in the beginning. Probably in a good Primary school too. What happen? If you were the parent, can you stop such raging hormones? Can you stop them? This happens every other day and we see thousands of such photos splashed over the internet. Surprisingly, one of the photo above, it was posted by the girl herself on FB.

Even in a good environment, it may trigger off an internal character that the kid have all this while. Whatever it is, you cant choose ur kid. Parents will have to live with it. As some say, kids are here for a reason.

Then going into a good school create a larger Elitism. Someone wrote to forum to express her views which I fully agree. Well, of course, one may say, you r not a parent, so you r not in a position to say, but as an observer, or if you look at the larger picture, the writer is not wrong.

THE present system of primary school admission is unfair to children from less-educated and lower-income families ("Enlarge popular primary schools" by Mr Chong Foo Sin; July 20).

Let's consider the ways parents can increase their chances currently.

The parent-volunteer route is available only to parents of means, who are usually better educated and in stable jobs and are able to take leave to volunteer.

As for location, well-off parents can afford to buy or rent accommodation near their schools of choice. For instance, there are no HDB flats within 1km of Raffles Girls' Primary School.

The alumni advantage breeds elitism and excludes those who do not come from families whose members attended "gifted" schools.

With no quota for Phase 2A, there could well be a year when, say, Ai Tong could have all its places taken up by the end of that phase - meaning that there is no room for "outsiders" not already part of the elite system. Ai Tong had only 38 places left this year.

Apart from enlarging popular schools and extending them to other areas, implement a quota for Phase 2A(2). Any remaining places after Phase 1 should be split into three: a third for Phase 2A (alumni), a third for Phase 2B (parents who have contributed to the school or society) and a third based on distance.

While the above solutions may not mitigate socio-economic disadvantage, it mitigates the risk that a class of elites would form, and if nothing else, would ameliorate the traffic congestion along Bukit Timah.

I guess this P1 registration fustration will be there for another decade or even longer. Good luck to parents who are sending their kids to school next year!

Okinawa - Japan Virgin Trip

Surprisingly, I have been to many places in Asia except the land of rising sun - Japan. This is the first time I am on a work trip to Japan. Not Tokyo but the southern prefecture of Okinawa. Not many heard about the place except for the movie shot here 恋战冲绳。

Well, it was a last minute work trip. I was informed by my boss in less than one week before the trip. I was just back from vacation in UK and before I could settle down back home, I am flying off again. It was quite fun yet challenging this round. We set off on a Monday early flight two weeks ago on 11 July.

Since we do not have a direct flight from Singapore to Okinawa, we need to do a transit either in HK or Taipei. Our airline was HK Airlines. It's one of the latest airline to fly into Singapore. We were upgraded to Business Class and even get to enjoy the lounge facilities before taking off.

It was a first time for me to enjoy business class facilities and privileges. Never in my life have I been on a business class seat. Very spacious and personalise service. The first leg from Singapore to HK was alrite, the second late from HK to Okinawa is the best. The latter was on a bigger plane so the services was much much better. It was an eye opener for me.

We had a day in HK due to transit. Nothing much, I get to stay in Sha Tin for the first time too. I wouldnt stay there if I was on a holiday. Very out of the city, quiet neighbourhood. The only good thing is, it is near a river and you could go for an early jog if you wake up early.

After all the main trip is still Okinawa. On our arrival in Okinawa, we were greeted by officials. Very warm welcoming of Okianwans. It was first to Konsai Street, where our hotel is. It is at the heart of Naha City. Lots of food, shops and 24 hours eateries. A nice place to begin on ur trip in Okinawa.

Had traditional okinawan style delicacies. Fatty pork!!! haha. Yep, it was yummy! However, like any other part of Japan, things are pretty expensive. Oh yes, the weather is much warmer too. Met a friend who happen to work there. He showed me around late nite. Very interesting. Had Ramen and Ice Cream. lol. Jap Style.

The next day was on island trip. We went snorkeling, diving and swimming. It was really fun except the weather. It was fine initially but rain as the day progresses. No choice but to proceed with the activities. I snorkelled for the second time after my trip to Phi Phi Island. So cool!!! Nice fishes and even live corals!!! I was so excited!!! However, I wasnt tanned cos there was no sunshine at all.

The next day was a day trip round Okinawa. Air bases, Aquarium, scenic points etc. It was a very hot day. If the sun was as strong on the previous day, I would have got a nice tan. lol. We dropped by Ashibana outlet mall where I purchase my first Coach bag. lol. It was a cheap deal, only S$260. I checked out the prices in HK, it was S$360. haha. If you ask me in SG, I think even more expensive. I seldom purchase branded stuff in SG.

It was World Heritage site on the last day. Then it was back home. I met my friend on the last nite before home. I was brought to this Japanese food store that serves Yakitori. Yummy! Talking about food, we had Teppanyaki, Shabu Shabu. I also tasted traditional Japanese made alcohol. wow! I love it!

I am thinking of another visit to Okinawa again in the future. My friend asked if I was keen to visit him. I could stay at his place. Hmmm, I can consider going next year if he is still working there. :P I love Okinawa!

From London Part 2

16-21 June
After 2 days in London, Eric n me ventured into a factory outlet mall in Bichester. It was kinda of funny as we pronounce the name wrongly. "Bi-Chester" was wat we read but nono. It should read "Bister". We were embarrassed when we heard the announcement on the train ride there. I guess many Americans might have pronounce that as well.

We did lots of shopping. I bought 2 Burberry working shirt and 2 Fred Perry Polo. Dirt cheap. Well, I mean if you compare to Singapore, it is definitely cheaper. Eric bought a lot too. It was a fun experience travelling to Bichester. I would love to go again if I travel to London in the future.

On the following day, we travelled to Stonehenge in Salibury. Wow! It was really a big wow for me. First, its more of a countryside. Vast open greenery with strong chilling winds. We took the stonehenge bus. I love the ride. It was amazing. The rocks were so magnificent when it appear right before my eyes. I cant believe I am in UK!! haha. Thanks to Amazing Race that I realise Stonehenge was in UK.

On the same nite, we went to Beatles famous street, Abbey Street in London. That was the place where they shot their album photo. Many imitated the Beatles crossing the street. Eric and I walked across too, just to have a feeling of what the beatles did 30 years ago. We were even captured in a shot from CCTV nearby! Eric screenshot it and we had a copy. It was so fun!

On the second last day, we went to Greenwich where Greenwich Prime Meridian was. In case you were wondering wat is tat, most Geography students should know. That is the imaginary line that separate the world into east and west. At that location, it is 0 longitude. It has been my dream to travel there since my secondary school days. I mean I have always been thinking of the place when I was a teenager. Dream fulfilled! We took photos climbed the hill before reaching royal observatory. Many were snapping photos away. Well, we did the same!

Then we watched our final musical before home. MamaMia. Lovely. It was similar to the one I watch on movies. Well, the movie adapted the story from musical. Of cos, in the movies they have got better scenery and more cast. But this is equally good. Though the set is simple but it was kinda of nice to hear Abba song. Dancing Queen, Mamamia, Money! It was hilarious and I really laugh all my way! I dun mind to watch it again! hahha...

On the final day before home, we went to a museum in London. Not British Museum but World Museum. Interesting. Then did a last min shopping at Oxford Street. The trip ended with a 13 hour flight from Heathrow. Thanks to Eric, I got to enjoy the comfort of waiting a flight in a lounge. Had some drinks and muffins before boarding.

Oh yes, I stayed in a B&B in london this time. Well, it is pretty expensive to stay in a hotel in London. So we opted for a B&B. Cheaper and very accessible. It is near to Paddington station. The owner is helpful. The breakfast was really the English Breakfast, Sausage, Bacon and Egg. lol. I had the same thing for a few days. If I were to travel to London, I will stay in B&B since it is as good as a 3 star hotel.

Bye London, Liverpool and Edinburgh! I am already missing the place...

From London

I am still in London while I wrote my latest entry. Yes, this is another long awaited entry by your honour. haha. Was too busy with many ongoing stuff and its time to clear some backlog from blog. Well, I am away from home, two weeks for a deserved break. Remember I was working very hard last mth. This is the mth I am rewarding myself.

This is the second time I am here in UK. The first time was in June 2002, exactly 9 years ago. That time I was with Hao, this time I am with Eric. Same place but different pple. Well, the last time I was only in London and Portsmouth. This time I travelled from the Edinburgh till London.

7 June
Departed from Changi Terminal 1. There was a delay on our flight because of some inconsiderate passengers. We were stuck on plane for an hour. I was quite worried cos we had a connection flight at London Heathrow to Edinburgh. Thankfully we rushed and managed to catch the connecting flight. It was like amazing race.

8-13 June
We spend a good 5 days in Edinburgh and Glascow. We went to Castles, climbed Arthur Seat, Underground city. We also went to the highlands in Scotland where we visited Loch Ness as well as enjoying the countryside of Scotland. In Glascow, we went to a few famous landmarks including Glascow University and Klevingrove Museum. Glascow is a modern city with a mixture of ancient and futuristic buildings. In contrast, Edinburgh is more like a castle surrounded by city.

13-16 June
We headed to Liverpool. Well, the main reason is of course to visit Liverpool football club. It was quite a nice visit to the museum and Anfield stadium. We dropped by Everton FC too. Then we also went to the birthplace of Beatles. Cavern Club at Matthew Street. In fact, we went to the club twice to indulge ourselves in the old days of Beatles. Really. Liverpool is a nice place with historical landscape. No wonder it is a UNESCO Heritage city.

16-21 June
More to come as we complete day 2 of our London Trip. Eye opener for me again. There are several places in London I have never gone during the last trip in 2002. First, it was BBC in White City. Then, Portobello Road market and also Borough Market near River Thames. I went up the historic Tower Bridge this time. Wow. Nice views and also a better knowledge of how the bridge was constructed. Attended first Musical at Leichester Square. Nice! Les Mis! What a nice set they have and beautiful voices. That's about it. Will update more once I m back home.

PS: Dear Birthday on 10 June and I was away again. :P Nonetheless, I still want to wish her Happy Bday and thank her for being there for me all these while.

Horny Youngsters

Was on phone chatting with a friend on train when I realise something. Gers thesedays are hornier than guys. hahah.. Why do I make such comments? If you do take public transport on weekend, there are plenty of lovey dovey. I am not saying they are wrong to express their love n affection publicly, but sometimes it's over the board.

They can just relax and have girls caressing them all over. Well done girls. The question is, if the girl's parents are also on board, what will they think? hmmmm...

Post Election

Its been a month since i last posted. Yes, the election is over. After all the husting, the ruling party lost one GRC and its share of votes fell to an all time low of 60.1%. The ground have somehow shaken. Well there are a couple of reasons

1)Influence from social media
Everyone is using FB, twitter to leave comments. Pictures of various candidates be it official or unofficial are all in cyberspace.

2)High cost of living
We are seeing an unexceptionally high inflation rate of 5%. This is particularly hard for low income singaporeans to cope with it.

3)Housing/Immigration
Singaporeans find it hard to own a house. It seems tat HDB's original aim to ensure every Singaporean own a home is losing faith. Singaporeans are unhappy with the high cost of HDB flats. Then, somehow related, large inflow of foreigners. The large inflow resulted unhappiness among locals. One would have tot we are living in a foreign country, where foreigners became majority.

4)Alternative voice
Most pple wants an alternative voice in the parliament. They want to see opposition members in the house to debate and fight for rights.

Old policies and metality from the past is no longer applicable to present. The ruling party have agreed to review and change its policies. Listen to pple and be more compassionate. I think it is a wake up call for the ruling party. Well, opposition camp must also prove themselves the next 5 years.

They have been given a chance. If they succeed, the ruling party may lose more seats. But if they fail, then it will be a one party for all in 5 years time. Well, I believe the ruling party will not sit there for you to fire. They are really working on the ground and re-connect with residents.

From the recent cabinet changes, you can imagine how tough it was for PM Lee to make these changes. MM Lee n SM Goh have retired from cabinet. Then 3 ministers, Mah Bow Tan, Wong Kan Seng and Raymond Lim have also stepped down. New ministers are appointed and almost a total reshuffle in cabinet. These are significant changes to bring Singapore forward.

MPs are now more aware of residents need. Some did investigation on bus frequencies while others communicate directly with residents thru FB. Going forward, I think this is necessary and useful as our politics have evolved.

Well, Singaporeans want the best for the country. Stay united and we will soar greater heights! wow, I can be a good politician too! :P

Election Fever

With election round the corner, it seems that everyone is gearing up for the major political event of the year. Was it media which magnify the whole thing or the ground is already talking abt it? Like wat most politicians said, we leave it for the voter to decide. lol

To quote from a Straits Times blogger. I kinda of agree what he said.

They may rally behind the indignance of having to suffer crowded trains and rising home prices, but they also can objectively appreciate how far the country has come and how important a good government with a proven track record is to its continued success.

Based on previous experiences, it seems that Singaporeans will make lots of fuss before election, when D day comes, it does not translate into votes. Are pple fearful of voting or did not vote wisely? Or is it becos our culture limits ourselves to only small coffeeshop talk, then rattle about it after the process? Sad or fortunate to say, most of the time, most Singaporeans are.

I will never forget the last election. To be honest, I wasnt keen at the results at all. I spent my nite dancing away at Dbl O. It was a total waste of time. I rather spend my time constructively by dancing away my nite. Well, for a simple reason, after all that hype at rally, nothing translates into vote. Most pple hear say only. The results are still the same.

No doubt, the incumbents are doing a good job, but i hate to hear the fuss before n after election. At the point of voting, pple suddenly turned deaf n forget about wat was discussed. Mark my words, another 66.6%, if not, maybe slightly more than 60%.

Upgrade or Downgrade?

I remembered posting an entry years ago on a new desktop in my workplace. Well, during that time, it was a migration from CRT computer to flat screen computer. Gosh, I think it was like in 2006 or 2007. The time have finally come for another round of upgrade.

This time we upgraded to a wide screen desktop with a smaller CPU. I understand the processing speed is way faster and more efficient. Colleagues should be celebrating abt having new PCs but hey, some problem surface. Some were complaining abt the change, which is usual for pple who resist change. Some were unhappy with the wide screen settings.

For my case, I am fine. I manage to re-set it to my old settings and it worked well for me. The only thing that really disappoint me was the lack of a DVD drive. Surprisingly, my terminal and a few others came without DVD drive. That made up about 10% of the new terminals replaced. Those who had were luckier? or am I the lucky 10%?

I was thinking if this is an upgrade or downgrade? The old terminal had DVD drives but the new one did not have. Hmmm... Well well, I heard it will be installed in an unknown date later. For the time now, I have to rely on other colleagues terminal to check out DVDs.

Loser Zouk Guy

Well well, another late n overdue entry. I have always wanted to blog but keep forgetting. This is one entry that I think I need to bitch. Though the hottest topic in town is the upcoming general election, this is something even funnier. Once election campaigning begin, I think I will be overwhelmed with tons of work.

Regarding this Loser Guy, 29 year old Ong, he was sentenced to 7 years in jail and 8 stroke of cane for raping a 22 year old lady. For goodness sake, when the ger does not want to have sex wif you, why insist? I mean Ong is quite a good looking guy, is he so despo n horny tat time? If he is so horny, there is always chicks in Geylang or some online horny bitch available.

As for the ger, why dirty dance with Ong and kiss with him in cab? That signals something to a guy. I think both of them are plain stupid. Of cos, I m not defending the guy. I thought if the ger doesnt want to get physical with you, then forget it. Sent her home since she is already weeping. Loser leh, still ask if she wants sex. Then wah, go from behind. Ong is definitely very horny at that hour.

Totally agreed with what the judge said. No consensual sex at all. Moreover, the ger is high from alcohol n that distorts her judgement. There were so much talking at zouk last night when i was there. Zouk ambassadors were bitching abt it. I guess everyone feels stupid too. In crude term, Ong was jailed for a cheebye. hahha.. really dumb!

Another Year Older

Goodness, I am moving into my second years into 30s. How can time fly so fast? It was like I just graduated from NTU yesterday. hahha.. How's life in the 30s? I would say fun and more achievement in life. Really! I am pretty happy in the stage that I am in right now.

In term of career, everything is moving on track and in the right direction. I really hope I will be able to achieve more this year. Moving up and moving out maybe? Its time to do more challenging task. Met a lot of pple during the course of work and that enriches my life.

In term of relationship, dear and me have now move on to a another stage. Yep, we have got our dream nest. I am very excited about the purchase and our next stage development. It is encouraging and a motivation in life. I still love her just like 9years ago. Nothing much have been changed except we are even busier with our career.

In term of family, everyone is healthy and doing fine. That is my only wish for my parents and everyone else in the family. Though my little nephew piss me off regularly, I dote him like my own son. He is part of me n my life too. I want him to grow up in a happy state.

At this moment, I just feel satified and happy. I wish this will grow as I mature. By the way, I insist I am 25! lol!

Bunny Year

Happy Belated Birthday on Day 7 of CNY. Yes, its birthday for everyone on this special day. I had lots of special moment too. For the first time, I went to dear place for lo hei wor! hahaha.. Very fun! Her mum really cook very nice dish and I almost ate 2 bowls of rice! lolx

Earlier part of the day, I went Lo Hei at MBFC. hahaha. What's that? Marina Bay Financial Centre. Yes, the building wasnt even ready prior to that. Very new and exquiste place. I had my Lo Hei against the back drop of Marina Bay Sands. You know what, it was at level 33 of MBFC. whahaha... Cool lor! A nice place to chill if you drink. But can you imagine that? I mean 5 years ago, we cant even do that. Magnificient! Really!

I had another 2 lo hei prior to MBFC. One was wif Singex, nice meal, traditional with all the lion dance. There were 4 number, 0883! hahha, buy 4D if you are keen! The first time was at our own office. Wah! That one is really best. A lot of nice and delicious stuff. Even had Peng Cai for our dinner. I had quite a fair bit of abalone! :P

Bunny Year should be a good year. May all be good and smooth throughout the year! Happy Lunar New Year! Huat ah!!!

Rabbit Year Eve

I seriously think something is very wrong with either our education or social values. Teachers these days are like doing funny things. Harbouring of criminals, having sex with underage, child pornography. Can someone kindly explain these rationale? You might say these are isolated cases but it seems more are appearing.

What are our authorities doing? Are the balance and checks sufficient? Or as i always believe, the inborn character will not be revealed till the time is right. So are these pple born with such characters or due to a change in environment? They are educated and can differentiate right or wrong but still do wrong things. Moment of folly or have been in their heart but yet to be opened up? It seems they are still in their own world.

Globalise Trip

This year have been quite a fruitful year for me. There were a couple of overseas trip, for holiday as well as for work. It was a wonderful experience for me. I love to embrace the world. Travel always enriches my life and teaches me to appreciate more things.

Seriously, I have never thought of going to so many places this year. Well, really, I feel so bless to be able to travel around. Dubai was more exotic. I guess I would have never travel to middle east if not for job. Seen desert, seen arabs, knew their culture. It was so special.

In terms of holiday, I would say New Zealand is the best. hahaha. Well, this is a first road trip for me. Thanks to Gavin who drove from the southern tip of North Island to Auckland in the north. We stayed at different towns along the way. I like many of the views in New Zealand, the hot spa and the warmth of New Zealanders. Not to mention, the win at the casino in Auckland was a highlight of the trip too. lolx

What about 2011? Well, I have no ideas as of now. Hopefully one long trip. That will be subjected to a big event that will take place next year. I hope it will come quickly and end soon. Happy Holidays to those who are still travelling!

It was an exciting nite for those who are in the entertainment industry. First it was "biannual" star search that took place in Singapore. Surprisingly, the contestant from China Jeffery Xu won the competition. I din know how he manage to win the title. Well, probably he was good in acting.

Contestants from previous batches appeared too. I still love Zoe's batch best. When the top 3 from 1988 class appear, wow, it was like going back to the late 80s. Who can believe they have been in the industry for 22 years? It happens to be the same year when this year champion Jeffrey Xu was borned! hahahha.... It was very touching to see the 3 of them standing together though 刘琦 is now a successful business woman.

On this very night, Hong Kong TVB is hosting its annual star awards! Goodness. I was in a dilemma over which channel to choose. However, we do not subcribed to Hong Kong cable channel, if not, I would be watching both at the same time. 黎耀祥 and 邓萃雯 won the best actor and actress title again!!!

So happy for them. The highest award 万千光辉演艺大奖 went to 李司棋 better known as 善姨 in my all time favourite show 真情。 hahhaha... So proud of 司棋姐！TVB is still the best TV company that produces excellent TV serial. They win our local station hands down. I have not been catching TVB serial lately due to work commitment. Hopefully, when I have more free time, its time for more TVB show!!!

And the other good news is, in another week, I will be in Hong Kong again! hahaha.. Dim Sum land has been the place that I visit frequently cos of the commmon language n most importantly, cantonese cuisine... lolx

I wonder if there is something wrong with the educators these days. First the principal, then Mas Selamat niece, next MOE scholar. Now another new case, a 25 year old teacher caught having sex with underage girl. Goodness... Is there something wrong with our system or pple these days are desperately in need of love?

"A TEACHER was charged on Monday 29 Nov with two counts of having sex with a 15-year-old student.

The 25-year-old, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the girl, allegedly had sex with the teen with her consent at a flat in the north of Singapore on May 20 and June this year.

An educator who have been in this line for so long did something which is unacceptable. Once again, I dun believe he deprive of love since young. He came fro a normal and decent family. So why did it happen? No one taught him? His daddy and mummy did not love him? What took him so long to realise his character? Is this another case of hidden identity or inborn character that i always believe in?

Strange enough. I thought only teenagers will have such crisis but I am wrong. I wonder how his wife and kids will think. Do they feel ashame of their father or husband behaviour? Its kinda scary to know pple of these kind exist. I think like what Jun said, choose the right path and stay on the safe side. To really change one inborn characters really take years and effort.

Another case of depriving love? A MOE scholar who studied in University of York in the UK was caught for making hardcore child pornography. Is he sicko or what? I do not believe he lack of family love or was poorly discipline. Someone who can excel in studies, "suppose" to stick with good students end up being a psycho.

This guy that was featured in the news recently was from Hwa Chong Junior College and Chinese High School.Indeed, elite schools do have black sheep. However, I am more curious about what happen to this particular guy. Did something serious happen or was it deep down in him that he was hiding his real character? Strange enough.

Well, not only him, there were also other top scholars and top civil servant that had other criminal problems. For one, the infamous SLA cheater. He sifoned large sum of money without getting caught. It was only reported recently and the whole saga became public.

Another lack of love incident? He is earning sufficient enough. He has a family that he can rely on. Did his family fail to give him enough love? At the age of almost 40, he deprives love and decides to seek excitement from siphoning state funds? So, it took him 40 years to realise he lack of love. Goodness. So greed had taken over him. I pity his wife, his kids and his parents. How are they going to face pple? I do not believe he was not taught. After all he is part of the elites in SG.

Since the elites are already behaving in such manner, the recent parang cases and slashing incidents do not come as a surprise. What on earth is happening? On one hand, we blame family for lacking of warmth, but on the other hand, these are educated pple. Well done Singaporeans.

It has been more than a week since 19 year old Republic student was slashed at Downtown East. Yesterday, another 4 teenagers were arrested for possessing choppers. Goodness! The police have stepped up efforts to fight street gang and violence, these youth are not concern at all. They brought 2 choppers to downtown east and were arrested in the chalet.

What's wrong with our youth today? Media have been running news on street violence! They simply ignore and live in their own world. So I am right, youth these days are indeed non chalent. They only live in their world. The most horrifying thing is out of the 4 arrested, 2 are teenage girls. One chopper was found in a lady's bag.

Are teenagers really devil while kids are angels? Till today, when i see little kids, i am still weary of them. How could one little cute cute kid turn into a member of street gang? Worst still, girls are joining the fun. Today's gang is no longer guys only. Or is it true that these girls are just gf of those guys? I am not too sure.

If we are to conclude that, so its true that, "Guys join Sociey, Girls needs Man". I think most parents would be worried if you base on this. Haiz, I guess more work needs to be done. Yester Years problem did not disappear, they are still looming. I can only wish all the best to the kids.

Wake up Call

The recent brutal cases involving gang fight is a wake up call for everyone. First murder at Downtown East, then Rampage at Bukit Panjang. There are many questions left unanswered.

What are the authorities doing to curb the escalation of gang violence? Have our home team been too complacent over the last decade or overly involved with countering terrorism? Gang violence have fallen since late 70s till 80s. Did these violence rose recently or it has already been there but yet to surface?

What are our teenager doing? Time have changed and there are a couple of few who still believe gangs will treat them best. Are they influence by media or internet or lack of love from family? I seriously think our teenagers are more non chalent now but hey, I think I am still wrong. Some still love gangs.

What about our parents? Are they doing enough or are they overly obesessive with pursing their dreams? Era have changed, mindsets have change, even the way kids are bought up have changed. Some parents love to refer to the old days but its hard to apply now. Kids are influence by many external factors, thus it is necessary to keep close eye of them. Some may argue, giving them sufficient love should curb the problem. I do agree. Well, there are times it may still be hard to control.

I pity my little nephew. I saw some disturbing photos and my poor nephew thinks of his mum. I will try my best to take care of him. I seriously feel he is a disowned child. Thankfully, he still have his grandma and uncles to love them. I dun understand wats wrong with gers these days. Are man more impt than their kids?

The recent downtown east murder is a classic example. The guys were caught in a SAF club tat was on loan by one of the "murderer" gf. Gosh, I bet the father of the ger will be very shock to learn that her daughter's bf is one of those involved in the case. How would the father believe it?

What's wrong nowsaday? The parents came from normal family. I bet the father din known abt the murder case. Why did the daughter choose to go steady with some wierd guys? I feel unjustified. I dun believe they are not taught properly. I guess its the character that they felt its impt to stay on close term with bf than family. Poor ger n also the father. I bet the father felt betray by his own daughter. If he knows it was some ah beng, do you think he will want to rent out that chalet?

Its kinda of scary. When I see my young nephew, i pity him. His mum was saying, I fear if i gave him keys, he might bring gers to my place. I said, "u r experienced, u sure u r ok?" hahaha... Halloween

Back home from Taiwan safe and sound. However, it wasnt so much of a happy occasion for Qantas QF 32 flight passengers. Malfunction engine forced the pilot to make an emergency u turn to land in Changi. It kept us busy throughout the day. Most international media were there since its the first time A380 got into distress.

Some tot it was a crash initially but thankfully everyone was safe. The passengers onboard at that moment were probably too worried to think what had happen. The loud bang is indeed scary. It was till 4-5 hours later when they were let out of the passenger terminal. It was a relieve for most of them.

I was reading this article that caught my eye again.

According to reports, it is not the first time she is doing this. I think she simply enjoys the fun with the unknown. Poor girl. Should I pity her? For her parents, when kids are young, they treat them princesses. Once grow up, worried abt her marriage and future. Now one more thing to worry, will their kids do silly things even when they get married? Poor thing.

On a lighter note, it was 6th anniversary for me at Double O halloween party. It was not that bad with many dressed up for the occasion. They transformed the place into old school, with water bottles filled drinks. It was called “双零中学” meaning Dbl O secondary school. Waiters were wearing uniform while security and managers became Discipline Master and Principals.

It was kinda cute theme. So many changes over at Dbl O. From the atas Unity Street to low class 222 Queen Street. How can one forget the good old times? My first dbl o trip was a Halloween in Oct 2004, which I think was recorded in this blog as well. Cool!

Taitung @ Ah Mei Homeland

Yes, I have finally touched the soil of Asia's No 1 Diva, Ah Mei's home town Taitung County. Before reaching, we travel by this nice scenic highway via the valley of Hualien county. Impressive. We were in between the central and pacific ocean mountain range. It reminded me of the route trip in New Zealand.

There are many beautiful farmlands, wineries and even wetlands. Met many aboriginies, they are really nice pple. I realise there were more aboriginies here in Taitung than many other counties. I have been to Taipei many times but seldom see these aboriginies. Ah Mei's home town is really laid back, relax and slow. Not many high rise here, only low rise shops and clean air. No haze at all. LOL

3 more days to go before I return home. Will be at a home stay tomolo. Hopefully it will be nice with magnificent backdrop. I hope I will have some time in Taipei so that I can do some simple shopping. Praying hard.

Typhoon Megi

I have been wanting to blog but keep forgetting abt it. hahha. I have a few issues to talk about but I think I will try to do it when I return home. Yep, I am back in Taiwan again after a year ago retreat with Andrew. This time its more for business trip. I have been to Taipei many times but this is the first time I moved out of Taipei into other counties in the East.

Well, rain is pretty heavy when I touched down at Taoyuan International Airport. I realise Typhoon Megi is approaching the southern tip of Taiwan. As a result, other parts of Taiwan are feeling the impact. I was travelling along Danshui and Bali when the wind and rain was so heavy. At one of the night market, it was drizzling. I heard the weather had been bad over the last few days. Today is a nitemare.

News channel are running typhoon stories. The area that I am in, Yilan County have been asked to shut down school and cease businesses. Rain was quite heavy. However, as i write now, it seems that rain had turned smaller. Well, other areas within the county are still raining. Some places were badly flooded.

Gosh, this is the second time I am experiencing typhoon. The last time was in Hong Kong. This time i hope the typhoon will go away soon so that i can proceed with my work. If not, I wonder how should i go about proceeding. Wish me luck pple! 老天爷，帮个忙，让我工作顺利。

PS: I understand SG is also suffering from a bad haze. PSI shot above 100 on Thursday. It was one of the worst situation in recent years. Haiz. I thought I escaped from the haze, but I was entering into another disaster state.

Final Journey Mrs LKY

Wednesday marks the final journey for Mdm Kwa Geok Choo. She has left behind a legacy, something call true love that we find it hard to find these days. When I saw MM delivered a red rose and the final kiss to his beloved wife, my heart sank. I was sad. I believe it was even tougher for MM. To see someone who have been through with you the last 63 years and coming to an end isnt easy. They are many Singaporeans' role model.

We will miss her.

I was absent from the blogspace for a month. hahah. Yep, another busy month. Was busy with several projects on hand ranging from Youth Olympics, F1, National Day Rally and many others. I always feel very pack during the month of August. Not forgetting our 8 years anniversary, also fall on the month of August! Haahahha, thank you to dearest for being with me all these while. Ups and down, she is always there for me :)

It was a usual peaceful Saturday when news of Mrs LKY, Madam Kwa Geok Choo passed away broke out. Everyone was busy trying to figure out more news and reaction from various agencies and people. Yes, Mrs Lee passed away peacefully yesterday evening at 540pm at their Oxley home. TV, print and social media were reporting on her death. Great Woman of Singapore have gone, a lost not only to the Lee Family but also to Singaporeans.

TV ran story of MM and her during their younger days. It was really sweet. Mrs Lee call MM, " a handsome young man then". It was followed by their laughter, I mean at that age of 80, when you spoke of your husband, anyone would really melt. I believe MM would feel very sweet in his heart. The woman who stood by him during the intial years of Singapore. It is never easy to play such a role.

She did it. I am very proud of Mrs Lee. When I saw pictures of MM and her in Cambridge, how they spent their life together, I could feel the wonderful memories. How many couples would be like them? 61 years of marriage. Very very long. They are still so loving. MM would read her poet by her bed even when Mrs Lee was bedridden. I can feel the love. Would you call it True Love story?

My heart felt condolences to the Lee family. An unusual weekend. May everyone cherish love and be love.

Came across this article that happened 2 days ago. To the guy or bf, he is definitely happy. To the parents of the girl, how are they feeling?

Little Thailand

Was out with Ken this evening for a movie. Been sometime since we went for one. He bought the tickets last night and we were in for a movie call "Frozen". I would call it a small production. Story plot is pretty interesting, 3 ski-ers went for night ski. However, they were trapped halfway when the chair lift halted operation. Thats when all the whole story unfolds.

The sad things is, somehow the links in between the story is illogical. There were a few parts that got me so irritated that i played with my handphone. Meaningless and I dun understand. The content is not very well developed. I think I would be able to write something better. The plot is good but the development of the story is unbelieveable.

After which, we went to Golden Mile for steamboat. This is the first time I am there. Wow! Nice food. Now I know why Ken loves to patronise there for good food. Indeed nice. The soup is clear and the serving is just enough for me. There are many other times when we always ate till dead full during a steamboat session.

The eye opener of the day is a tour to Golden Mile Complex. Wow seh! It was really Thailand leh. All my favourite food are there. Very authentic Thai food. However, the place is very sleezy at night. All the "gers" are out in action for old man. When they saw young man like us, these gers just walk away. When an old man approaches, they will be pulling them and dragging them to corners. It's just like Geylang lor! hahaha...

What I find it unbelieveable is, I felt in a third world country when I am inside the building. Very old and the toilet is unacceptable. The place is worse than the real Bangkok. Look at Siam Paragon, MBK, Siam Square or even neighbourhood places like Phantip Plaza or Pratunam, Golden Mile is like the 70s Singapore. A stone throw away is Marina Bay Sands.

Gosh, I really hope the owner will re-develop the place or probably do a mass en-bloc to turn the place into something even better. It is sitting on prime land. Let's see how things go ba....

Singapore celebrated her 45th year of independence from Malaysia. I am happy for the little red dot. She grows stronger each day ever since she parted with from her "brother" in the north. Singapore have changed so much over the last 45 years. Seriously, if I was Minister Mentor sitting there, I would be recalling the 45 years how the country was built.

This year NDP din have much surprise. The only thing that really touches me is always Kit Chan. Whenever she sings Home during NDP, my heart will melt. She is the only ah jie that i respect. She is my idol. I was looking at her all the while when she sang. It was indeed touching. That is the moment I feel proud as a Singaporean.

Home is the best NDP song in recent years. Really. It is even better than Corrine May's version. Even Stephanie, Tanya, JJ Lim cant fight her. When the song is played, there will always be a lump in my throat. Just felt very different. And Kit was able to bring out the atmosphere. Standing on top of the crescent moon! Wow! I salute to her!!! I love Kit!!!!

I am going to watch her theatre work this Thursday. I am sure she will surprise me with her nice vocal. I am looking forward to Singapore's 50th year of Independence. The parade will be back at Padang once again. I hope we can get Kit Chan to sing on tat day, to celebrate our jubilee year of independent. Happy Birthday Singapore!

5 Year Long Service

Opps! I have not updated my blog since a month ago. Too busy bouncing around with work and also a short trip to KL. I guess i am tied down by tons n tons of work. Have been working so hard ever since i got back from Auckland. Recent events have added more stress to existing work. Yes, National Day is coming. Youth Olympic will follow shortly. Not that easy to juggle around these events.

Force myself to blog today cos of a simple reason. hahaha.. I was awarded 5 year long service award. It was quite a good opportunity to see various colleagues from many departments. This is the first time I get to see most of our senior management. I had colleagues who worked for 40 years in the company.

Can you believe that? 40 years in the same organisation? I got to say I have to take my hats off to these senior colleagues. I mean it isnt easy to stay with the same firm unless you have the passion and dedication. My 5 year award is nothing compare to 40 years. Most of these colleagues were in their 60s.

They were with the company since 70s. Wow. I believe they seen the most changes in the organisation. From statutory board to privatise company. The change of senior management, once a civil servant to become a private sector employee. 40 years. Can you imagine tat? We were applauding loudly when these heros went on stage.

I got the opportunity to work with one of the colleague. I was so happy when I saw him receiving the award. He is a nice man. Friendly and deserve our respect. There is another colleague too, who have work with us for 25 years. That isnt easy too. Halfway there but still growing strong. What about me?

hahhaa.. The grass is always greener on the other side. I dunno if there will be another 5 years of me with the company. Hopefully! Keeping my finger cross! :P

This is one of the latest serial from TVB. Starred by Raymond Lam and Tavia Yeung, the show revolves solving criminal cases through the use of science. Raymond is a professor who is an expert in physics. There are also other two co actor and actresses. One is Kenneth Ma and the other is Bernice Liu. The four of them had different characters.

For Raymond and Tavia, its the typical good guy and good girl. Social circle is small, life only revolves family and not many friends. I would call it 乖仔乖女。Becos of the small network of friends plus protected from family, when some major challenges came, they could not take it and the sky will collapse on them.

I agree Raymond is a bastard in the show. I mean he is not a fantastic bf and really broke the heart of his gf Tavia. Tavia was so devastated that she almost killed herself. There was one scene when she stared at Victoria Harbour, she said, the sky is black, the sea is black, everything turn black right in front of her. She felt like jumping off into the sea.

When back home, she cried and was almost willing to give up everything for Raymond. My heart was quite broken. I really felt sad for a while. However, it starts to irritate me when I felt her world is only Raymond and nothing. How can? She still have her family, her career! She almost quit her job and even commited suicide. That was very stupid of her. I must say her acting is convincing. For a while I can feel her heart broken.

Then came to a question, why did she behave this way? On the other hand, Bernice handled it much better than her. Bernice bf Kenneth Ma is another bastard who loves to sleep around. Well, maybe Bernice is also the same type like him. But i would say Bernice is 敢爱敢恨。When the sky falls, she can manage. Not like Tavia. Bernice is probably a more extrovert, outgoing and have a huge network of friends.

2 characters and extreme behaviour. hahhaa... If you ask me who is better, I would prefer a mixture of both character. hahaha.. That would smoothen out everything... As for the 2 guys, both are equally bastard, but in different ways. hahaha

Lovely New Zealand

I was back from New Zealand last Tuesday. It was a fantastic trip with scenic route drive and city tours. We had many first time. This is my first time there. The route trip was a once in a life time to me. I have never travel with friends on our own vehicle. We drove more than 980km, from Wellington all the way to Auckland. It was an adventure. Well, the distance is similar if we drive from Singapore to Penang. But the experience we get in New Zealand is different.

It is winter in Southern Hemisphere. As we moved towards inland, the temperature fell. I remembered the thermometer was in single digit. There was once when it even fell to negative. There were many sheeps, lambs and cows along the countryside. When it was not raining, the sky is very blue. I dun see that in SG, neither do i experience the winter cold in SG. The winter there was not bitter. I love the winter in New Zealand.

Then there were starry nights, hiding under the blanket in winter cold, emerging in hot spa water, enjoying views of lake Rotorua while doing spa. This is really something I never try before in my life. It was enriching. I really love the rural side of New Zealand. It was not as bad as i thought. Lake Taupo is the largest lake in New Zealand, about the size of Singapore. I love that little town. Very peaceful and adequate commercial activities.

In capital Wellington, it was more vibrant but still quiet. Shops closed on weekends and even during weekdays, most commercial activities end at 5pm. Streets are quiet at night. It is a very different capital that we see in most countries. I like the pace, maybe due to the weather. I remembered when we reached Wellington, we were really tired from the long flight from home. I slept early at 930pm till the next morning.

In largest city Auckland, it was more like many cities around the world. However, the pace is much faster than Wellington. There are many Asians, Middle Easterners there. It was more of a cosmopolitan mix. I guess that got to do with the universities there. There were 2 universities, mainly University of Auckland and Auckland University of Technology. That attracted many international students there. There was also a Sky Casino. Hahaha.. We do not need to pay the $100 levy to be in there.

It was really an enjoyable 10 day trip. I will try to give an update of some of the key acitivities we did along the way. I am already missing New Zealand now....

Are girls getting more daring these days? Or is it true that woman today are trying to prove their equal status with men? I heard many funny things lately about how women behave in the public. For some, i even see with my own eyes.

In the past, it was guys who caressed their girlfriends in the public such as MRT trains. These days, its the other way round, girls are taking the initiative to declare their affection openly. What happens if the girl's parents are onboard the same train? Do you think they will be happy? Are they proud of their daughter who goes ard behaving intimately in public?

Happening Siah!

Many things happened today at work. First it was sentencing of celebrity monk Mingyi. I first predicted High Court would lower his sentencing to 6 months jail because the initial 10 month jail was way too harsh. Afterall, he had contributed a lot to the society before he commit the silly error. Wala! I was right! He respect the judge decision and is now in jail liao.

How will he look like 6 months later? Longer hair unless he still shave his bald head? Someone ask will he be wearing his monk robe in jail? My answer is quite certain. I believe the prison had a set of protocol when all convicts are equal. I believe he will be wearing the convict tshirt as anyone in the jail too. What I am more concern is, will he be in a single cell room or with a couple of other jail mates? How will other jail mates look at him? Well, only convicts in Changi know.

Then came civil servant mid year bonus. Surprisingly, it was 0.5 months plus $300. It is one of the highest mid year bonus for the last 5 years for civil servants. Not to forget, these bonuses are across the board, what about their performance bonus? I believe most of them will get a fat sum. hahahha... My civil servants friends, when are you bringing us out for dinner? hur hur... lol

An even shocking news was few of my colleagues are leaving for good. Well, for better prospect and for better opportunities. The grass is always greener on the other side. When is my turn? hahaha... I wish I had greener grass on the other side too....

Kingdom Crackdown

Its such a pity Bkk has turned into a war zone. I was so upset when I saw tanks moving into the city with soldiers firing at protestors. The place is no longer the hip, happening and fun place to go. It is now deserted, with tourists running away. My heart sank this afternoon when I saw Central World almost gone.

Can you believe it? Even a foreigner is making such comments. I visit the Kingdom regularly too. The pictures of Central World collapsing and engulfing flames broke my heart. How could such a loving place turn ugly? The last time I was there was in April last year. And I stayed along the stretch of the protestors zone, Ratchaprasong intersection

Now it has become the deadliest zone. Before I left Bkk, I had lunch over at Central World. I also did some shopping there. Not forgetting the coffee sessions that I always had there with Ed and gang. Now the whole place is almost gone. I wonder how are Thais going to rebuilt and inject new confidence.

I hope Thais will emerge stronger after the crisis. If it doesnt, it will lose out to neighbouring countries like Cambodia and Vietnam. I believe most Thais are peace loving. I miss the old days of Bangkok...

Still Young

This shall be a short entry! I suddenly recalled on my way home after a drinking session with Ken last week, the taxi driver tot i was a student.

The coversation

Taxi Driver: So where are you studying?
Me: I am working now (was thinking why he asked me)
Taxi Driver: I see
Me: I left school 5 years ago. I am more than 30 years old
Taxi Driver: Really?! (He looked at the front mirror for a better view of me)
Me: Yes, been working for sometime after I graduated
Taxi Driver: Oh! I tot you were studying in University, like 25-26!
Me: .... (Smiling deep in heart)

Hahaha.. Like wat my friend said, little conversation like this can also make your day. Oh tat time was already 230am. I was quite sleepy but that conversation did perk me up a bit! :P

Super Tired

After 3 days of R&R, it was back to work for me. What caught me off today was the enormous workload that I had on my first day to work. I thought it would have been an easy day after my assignment. However, in the afternoon, I was asked to rush off to another assignment. I was so tired that I fell asleep in the van while on the way to the next venue.

The first assignment started early at 930am. This is my first visit to City Hall. I have passed by several times but this is the first time I am going into the building. This is the place when Singapore declared independence in 1965. It has got strong historical values. Wow, the facade maybe old, the interior was nice. I was ushered into the City Hall Chamber. Beautiful!

I believe that is the same place where the Japanese surrendered when World War 2 ended. The place have been kept pretty clean. I understand it will be converted into a museum in the years to come? I was also treated to a nice breakfast and lunch reception. Though not fabulously delicious, it did fill up my stomach.

When I have finally completed my assignment, my boss informed me to rush for another one. I was like, oh dear, I am so tired and hungry. No choice, headed down to a place in the West. It was pretty far. Thankfully, the roads were not jammed and I had smooth journey to the location. By 7pm, I was back in office rushing for the second assignment and also coordinating for another assignment on Friday.

Hahahhaa.. I think it was really a very SIONG day for me... Thankfully, its my off day again tomorrow :P

Woman?!

I am watching Mediacorp's English production called "Enbloc" and it set me thinking of about professional woman. Once on my way back from work, I was taking a cab when a cabbie share with me stories about professional and highly educated woman. He told me he had fetch women who sleeps around with male prostitute and even superior.

I was initially skeptical as I believe woman of such level would think intelligently. However, after watching the show, I believe there are some real instances. Woman trying to scale higher heights may choose to sleep with their superior. Taxi uncle told me he once fetched this woman with a guy and where they behave intimately on cab. Once she dropped off the guy, she went ahead to meet another guy.

As typical taxi uncle, he was shocked and asked which is her bf, she said, of course the latter one. She said as long as she is not married she can choose to sleep around with whoever she likes. But more importantly, the first guy is someone who could help her in her career. WOW! I was like sure ma, did cabbie brag? Then he continued and said the ger was pretty in executive wear.

Not only that, he also fetched woman from male prostitude bar. Most of the times, these women were of high education level and in professional industry. Then taxi uncle started to use vulgar against these ladies. hahha.. I was like amused and entertained throughout the journey. Are woman these days becoming like tat? I mean even TV serials are already showing, there must be certain degree of truth in it.

Although most women are not like tat, it is a worrying trend. You never know one day, it may become something that you dun wish to see. hahaha... WOMEN are finally on par with MEN!

KL Getaway

Opps! I din update my blog for nearly a month. I think I am really getting lazy all these weeks. Sometimes I wanted to blog but forget abt it. I should make it a habit to update whenever possible. Stop playing all the FB games!!! hahhaa... Then I would have some time to give an update of my life!

Was back from KL last week. Met Andrew. Stayed over his place and it was really hot. hahah... His apartment have finally upgraded to cable TV and also aircon in his room. However, his aircon malfunctioned when i was there. I ended up sleeping in his living room as it is cooler. We had nice food too. Madam Kwan was not as bad as some pple had described. The set dinner that i had was yummy!

Eric came the next day. We went Zouk KL. Oh man! I am impressed by the place. Similar settings to the one back home. I saw Terrance Cao too! lol. I liked their Velvet. It was damn nice. I was also at Phuture too, same music genre. Velvet was more of Top 40s. Zouk was more of house music. We drank quite a bit there. Oh yes, I was nearly bashed up by some drunkard. Thankfully the bouncer came to my rescue. So funny.

I stayed at an apartment near zouk. I only stayed at Andrew place for one night only. Well, the room was good. Comfortable and the aircon was working! hahaa.. I had a bed and LCD TV all to myself. They had cable movie channels! I webcam to Jun and she was like, wow u had a big TV. It was an apartment worth staying! Not too exp, abt S$100 plus per nite.

Eric and his friend plus me went Midvalley the next day. It was raining quite heavily on late afternoon. We took a cab to Pavilion. hahah.. It was like N years that I took cab in KL. hahaha... Oh I had KL fried Hokkein Mee too! Finally! I miss the Hokkien mee! ahahha... Oily but delicious. On way back to SG, I bought Kreme and Cream! hahaha.. Typical Singaporean! A short getaway but was good enough for me.

Next Stop, New Zealand!!!

Remembering Dubai

Finally had some time to give an update after the trip from Dubai UAE. It was a good experience for me to see how world is like in the middle east. Arabics are really rich pple. The standard of living in Dubai is so much higher than SG. Most Arabics own luxurious and big car. I am impressed by the way the country is run.

Despite being an Islamic country, Dubai is very open to foreigners. Majority of the population are expatriates. You can easily find all kind of food. The only thing is price. I remember buying a packet of steam rice for S$7. I was so hungry tat nite and decided to buy a pack of rice with bbq chicken. Din expect the plain rice to cost so much.

Shopping is a in thing in Dubai. There are plenty of large shopping centres around. You can spent a whole day by shopping in one mall. One can get lost within the mall. By walking from one end to the other, it can take up to 15 mins. Can you imagine the scale of the shopping mall? One tat left a great impression in me is this bar call Chill out Dubai. We had to wear winter clothings in a cafe, where the temperature is only -6 degree celcius.

Very good experience as I get to drink hot milo and some satay plus hot soup. Feel very comfortable. I was served with milk shake on a glass made of ice. Something very unique n different. As for the weather there, it is freaking hot during the day. There was once when temperature shot up to 45 degree celcius.

The desert safari was an eye opener for me. Taking a 4 wheel drive round the sand dunes, then had bbq dinner and dance performance under the clear sky, it was really one of a lifetime experience. Lights were turned off for 5 minutes while we gaze at the clear sky in the desert. Really fantastic. There was also camel ride but I din had the time to ride on it. hahha. But i took a couple of photos with the cute camels.

The accomodation that i had was fabulous. It was a service apartment. Nice and spacious room. The other was the tallest hotel in the world call Rose Raayhan. It had nice views and the room was equally good. I stayed on the 44th floor. I could literally see the Arabic Gulf. Nice sea views. The tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa was magnificient. At the ground floor is a water fountain display tat reminds me of Las Vegas. hahaha.. I think RWS still got a long way to learn.

So much for the memorable middle eastern trip. I hope there will be more to come! lol

Debut trip to UAE

Its time to blog a bit before I depart for my trip later. This is my second business trip after the one in Indonesia last year. Did a lot of last minute liasing work before I leave. Well, thankfully they offered me a good flight. Though its an overnite flight, I think I can catch a couple of movies before I reached.

Well, this is the first time I am departing for a Middle Eastern Country. Never in my life had I gone to such exotic place. I even brought a guide book to read later on board! hahaha.. I heard things can be pretty expensive there. No currency exchanger here that will accept their dollars! In the end, I got to change USD. ahhaha...

Besides working, it should be an enriching experience for me. I believe I can get to see many things which tourists wont get to see. hahha.. That itself is a plus point. Will be travelling to several places, hopefully the whole trip will be smooth sailing. Will be back in a week. I will try to update whenever possible if I got the time! hahaha...

Hello UAE! I am coming.....

Grand Finale of Double O

It was the last night for double O before it shift out from its current location at Mohammad Sultan Road. It has been more then 5 years since I went to this place. I felt like crying when I stepped into the place for the last time. I will be away next week and will not be able to attend the last party at Double O.

From what i understand, it was the last retro party this week. It will be a mixture of songs next week for the grand finale of Double O. Whenever I think of the place, I feel something pulling in my heart. It was here where I met many good friends. David, Bowen, Cindy, Kaz, Larry, Leon, Geswin, Paul, Jaden, Rasheed, Ice, Damien, Zhiyang, SK, Stanley, Terrance, Ziyi n gang, Winson and gang, Andrew, Eric, Dailing, Melven, Garfield, Panda, Weiliang, Kairong, Melvin, Buckie, Nasi Lemak, Jerome, Irvine, Xinghe, Jason, Jasmine, Jeffrey and Zouk gang.

There were many memories of these pple. Whenever I think of the place, it somehow brought me memories over the last 5 years. There was once i brought Vanessa, May Wong and even Lijun to the place. We drank and had fun. There were also Christopher, Denscen and even some funny guys that i met. Really, there was so much fun that I was once addicted to the place. I felt uneasy whenever i do not visit the place.

I would visit double O prior to gym or even get a stamp, then proceed to gym before returning. I missed the good old times when it was still under Emerald Hill management. It was those days when i get to know the door bitches well. I was often treated to nice drinks and I was good at keeping myself awake. We would always gather outside double O then head for supper before we go home. Those were the days.

I remembered when we first went, it was only Kenneth and me. Then the group expanded to include Gavin. Then it was Jaden and the rest was history. Those day, we have Catherine, Zhiwei, the maid and others. It was always long queue and I have to wait for like half an hour before i gain entry. These day, I can get it within a few minutes.

Those supper on Rou Gu Cha were really memories to me. We always giggle and joke about the club. Ken and I will always be early to get the free stamp. Then double o decide to introduce a $10 charge. We will usually meet before 8pm to get the stamp. It is kinda of sad when the club is finally closing and moving on to a new location.

Oh I almost forgotten. Kenny also attended the session. Hahahha... We really party very hard. It was during those days when Music underground closes. Ken and I had to search for a new location and double o was the place. We partied during many occasions including Halloween and Chinese New Year. I still remember the first time when i stepped into double o. It was 31 October 2004. It was still reflected on this blog.

Then i went for many many overseas holidays and i skipped going to double o. It is now that the place is finally close for business. I understand they are moving over to Queen Street. It will be a new place. It is no longer the high ceiling place that we used to club. It is no longer the place we used to won in a competition. What left behind are simply memories.

I took many pictures of the place. This is to remember it was part of my life. From the toilet, to the lounge to the place when i dance. I will really miss the place. Double O....

Have been reflecting a lot over the last few days. What strike me was, do it whenever you can, do not hesistate. You never know wat is going to happen next. We must cherish watever we have now and also do things that we remember for life. Well, having say tat, even simple decision in life, we should not hesistate too long.

I was watching a documentary on Tv featuring a cancer patient. He said when you are sick, u feel helpless and you cant do anything. You will sleep on the bed and start to regret things that have never done. So what are the things that you have not done? Think about it. Do not waste time worry abt this or that. When things happen, it will be too late to regret.

My views changed over the last few days. I wanna do watever things I feel like doing it. There were times i keep contemplating. Now i just hope to get it done soon! I wanna live life to the fullest. 活在当下，活出精彩！

无常难过

This is one of the saddest day in my life. I tot I have other issues that will make me upset with life, blame on life or watsoever. When I heard of the shocking news, I felt thunder struck. I have never have this feeling in my life. I felt like crying but no tears, my heart shattered n somehow i feel the pain. Nothing to do with the stupid Jack Neo issue. Its abt friend. As I write, I really feel the pain in my heart.

A close friend of mine told me he had cancer. I was speechless for a minute. I mean he is younger than me, so close to me and yet he contracted this kind of diseases. I am afraid, i am worried, I dun want to lose my friend. To me, he is my brother, he is my close friend. I was nearly in tears as he unravel the truth to me.

He showed me his operation photos, he showed me his stitches. I mean i find it really hard to accept. I teared as i wrote this entry. I dunno, i just feel so pain and he is still looking optimistic. I was told he had a 60% of another attack. Though he had removed the cancerous tumor, doc said it might just come back anytime. I told myself no matter how many diffculties I face, i cant compare to the pain my friend had to go thru.

I really teared as i wrote this entry. How could someone end up this way? Why? However, I am happy he recovered after the surgery. He was kind enough not to tell me wat happen till our party finishes. When i saw the scar on his stomach, I reminded myself, dun be complacent. Take good care n cherish the friends ard u.

I will pray for my friend. No more attacks. I want to see him get married and leave a long life. My brother, i will pray for u... I hope to see you even when we are 50 over years old.

嫩牛吃老草

Time to update again! hahaha... CNY is already over and this is my first entry after CNY! This year I din visit my relatives cos i was either too tired or something happened at home. Haahha.. I would say this is a first time for me. No visiting and i never get to see relatives. Lovely. Sui! I spent most of the time working. A truely workaholic.

I am on leave today but i still receive a lot of calls. Have to work from home too. Sian. I think tat is the problem of technology. Real time lor. You are like on standby 24 hours. I am preparing for 2 trips. One to Penang this weekend, another one to Dubai at the end of the month. Pretty excited cos it would be an eye opener for me. I have been to Penang nearly 10 years ago during my university days. This time will be more of a nostalgic trip. As for Dubai, it should be very exciting cos its my first time on Middle East soil!

While on my way home from gym today, I saw an article about 嫩牛吃老草 meaning young man to date a old lady. It has been the headlines for most chinese tabloid the last few days. We always hear about 老牛吃嫩草 meaning old man date young woman but not the other way round. I think the world has changed again. Hahaha... The same question that i always asked, are we too slow to keep up with time?

I wonder if this is a principle or moral issue too? If it was your child, how would you react if ur daughter date an old man or your son date an old woman? How are you going to deal with it? Honestly, I really dunno cos i m not a parent. hahhaa.. But i did pose a question to myself, do you prefer to be in this position or you prefer ur child to be gay or lesbian? hahha.. I mean the world is changing and trends are diff now. I din know how to answer when tat tot flashed across my mind.

Demanding Course

Was on course for the last few days. Put me out from work temporarily but I am still "working" while i go for training. It was a very harsh training. When the session end at the end of the day, i will feel totally drained out. It is unlike usual training when u sit in a class and listen to presentations or do small group discussion.

This is one of the toughest training I ever receive. There are many practical session that really freaked me out. hahahha... It would not be good if I reveal too much on the course structure but really, all that sweat and stress level is scary. I have never sweat so much in a course before. Not only to that, we were dirty too! The closest that i can think of is Boot Camp. hahha.. Hardcore boot camp.

One last day and it will be over. I cant wait to end the course and celebrate CNY. hahha... I need a short break from all these. hahha.. Too tiring! Mental n physical demanding too! hahahha... At the same time, i m still working on projects. Damn. How i wish i can take a good rest! Have been sleeping early for the last few days. Training is 9-6pm! I get home unusually early. hahhaa... Still Alive

Finally updated my blog!!! Hhahha... I broke a personal record. Only 1 entry for the month of January. Cant believe that i let my blog rot. I have so much to say but so little time to type. Damn. Is it true that when one grow older, you have less time for other stuff, becos u need more time to rest?

Hahaha... We are already into the second month of 2010 and I felt it was like more than half a year. Things have been tough and time din stop becos of that. I am still breathing and surviving. Occasionally, admiring pple who got plenty of free time to flaunt and do things that they like. I was told by a friend to join the public sector.

How I wish. I mean who would not want to be in a 9-5 job, have plenty of time during weekends and public holidays? The question is, others may not choose me. I have tried but it din work out. However, I have to admit my last try was few years ago. hahhaa... It was a major blow to me cos no matter how hard i try, i would lose out to fresh graduates. Employers should know the reason. Let's see how things go.

To me, time is very precious. Dun waste my time if you got nothing better to do. Things like procrastinating or aimless talk only irritate me. hahaha... I had a bad experience once when this fitness trainer tried to sell a package to me. I was so angry that i told him I am not interested and i need to rush off. He was so determined to sell his package to me and I left eventually. A 10 min talk ended up as a hour long lecture. Really waste of my time and din attain wat i wanted to do. Damn. This is wat i call aimless talk. I have to blame myself for giving him a chance to talk to me.

Well, on the month of January, besides the routine "pong pong pong", i finally took a short break to HK. I met my former colleague. It was a great time hanging out with him. He brought us to a sushi restaurant opened by Daniel Wu. Cool place with very creative sushi. Then we headed to a pub call Aqua located at 30th in one of the buildings in Kowloon. Magnificient seaview! It was late and we were still drinking. I had mochito. hahaha.. I think i spelled wrongly. hahha...

Then it was time for gossip. I was happy to learn that he had found a new job and paid a lot better. I seriously think he deserves it. He is such a talent but underutilise at our workplace. Well, I guess tat is life. Take it or leave it. For someone to come into my life, one must be prepared for the pong pong pong lifestyle i have. hahaha.. Not easy but can be managed. hahahha....

5th Anniversary

Happy New Year to all readers!!! hahhaa.. I realise today marks the 5th anniversary with my current employer. Gosh! Times flies and I am getting the long service award this year!!! ahahhaha.. I cant believe that I have stayed on the same office for so long. Well, there are sweats but definitely high level of work satisfaction.

It hasnt been easy all these years to juggle between work, family and social time. I sacrifised a lot of my social time. To a certain extend, I was so engrossed in work till i forgot many important events. Guess I am a workholic. hahaha.. Though pong pong pong at work, I have a sense of achievement at the end of the day.

What's next? I really dunno. I just feel I have just ORDed and got my pink IC 5 years ago. hahah... I can never forget the first day I joined my current employer and the last day I left my former employer. So nostalgic lor... Some of my former colleagues are now working with me. Though in different dept, we are happy working under the same roof. Well, I am waiting for my long service award probably at the middle of the year. hahahahha

End of Decade

Its time of the year again! We are at the end of 2009 and moving to a new decade. What have you achieve this year? I would say the year started quite turbulently but slowly ease out due to improved economic conditions. I remembered when the year started, I had fever. Oh man. That time I had celebration with a few others at a hotel. Nice fireworks to be ushered into the new year.

For me, I had achieved quite a bit at work. My first official overseas trip in late June. It was an unprecedental move for me. I have never work under such circumstances. It was a huge challenge. Working alone overseas arent easy. I tried and some big bosses had positive remarks which i felt was a relief. Then I was in charge on a few projects. Spent a lot of time working on it and it was of great satisfaction. The down side is less social time, but it seems not many pple understand my plight.

As for relation, it is stable. I prefer the status now. I dun care abt friends or pple who made all kind of comments. Its my relationship not yours. It is up to us to decide how we want to go. I never like to be pressured. This will only make me feel irritated. I still prefer slow and steady pace. I enjoy a comfortable mode. I am still enjoying it :)

As for family, I think things are changing. My dad has retired. I am working hard. My mum became a full time housewife again, thanks to little nephew. He is growing up fine. However, he is not one tat is easy to be taken care of. He needs 100% attention. hhahhaha.. I m still coping with these little boy. I just pray that when he grows up, he will be a fine man. Dun become a devil. hahaha....

As for new year, I hope better recognition in all aspects. I wanna do things better, improvement in all areas. Well, hopefully, to be a better person!!! Bye 2000-2009!

Holy Night

Time flies. Its Christmas again. I am surprised I am home at this holy hour. hahha... This is so unlike of me during Christmas eve. I remembered last year I was in KL, previous year at clubs or drinking somewhere. Haaa... I guess this is one of the many Christmas eve I ever stayed at home. I believe Orchard Road and clubs are filled with tons of revellers. hahaha.. Am I old or not into the mood of celebration during this festive period?

Well, its really time that I take a break from crowded places and spent a night all by myself. I need a short break badly to distance away from work. It has been the usual mad rush, however, I am quite satisfied with some of the project. Due to late notice from office, I am not able to attend Ed's wedding. If not, I will be flying off the next morning to Bangkok. hahhaa.. Damn. Missed the traditional Thai wedding.

Party will be coming up after silent night. hahaha... There will be one tomorrow. I heard there are plenty of good food, nice wine. Then on Saturday is the usual party. More drinks again. On Sunday is house warming, which I think there should be food again. hahhaa.. 3 days in a row. There was a mini party in office today. Had some nice red and white wine. There were also cakes, hams and turkeys. hahaha... Fabulous! Well, it does help to cheer up the mood.

After Christmas, its New Year! Time of the year again. 2009 also marks the end of a decade. hahah.. Merry Christmas to everyone! Cheers!

Pong Pong Day

This morning was raining heavily. There were no cabs at my place. Despite numerous call, booking was full. I proceeded to town centre trying for my luck. Wow. Fantastic long queue, all trying their luck to get a cab. I gave up and took a train to Serangoon. Gosh. It was a wrong move to alight. I was hoping I may get a cab there, but there were a few pple in front of me at the train station waiting for cab too.

While waiting, more cut queue and i decide to give up. I realise I will be late for my appointment planned at 10am. I was left with no choice but to take the train again to town for cab. My appointment is at this ulu place in Heng Mui Keng Terrance. Damn. I dun even know the place. When i reached Dhoby Ghaut PS, thank god. Taxi were queueing up for passengers. MY GOD! I complained to the driver and he kept quiet.

While on the train, i suddenly turn emotional after i recalled Jun said she cried on bus uncontrollably, feeling so alone. For me, it is more like why am i overwhelmed with so many uncontrolled things in my life. I feel kinda sad cos most of my friends have stable job, 9-5pm, time for family, time for friends, time for love, time for marriage. For me, its like fighting a war. I am faced with so many obstacles and yet no body understands at times.

Some said they are used to my life. I dun really agree. Deep in their heart, they would want to see something or even expect something. Here i am putting out fire, there they start another one. I guess this will never end. Many just probably stood and scratched their head. Why work so hard? Its for the future right?

The more i think in the train, I really felt lost all of a sudden. Why is this happening to me? Am I thinking too much or am i not able to meet expectation? I always have to calm myself down so as to regain momentum to do my job. It is really a love and hate affair. haiz. I guess no body can fully understand the type of 水深火热 situation I am in. Pple, you are too fortunate. You can have plenty of time to fulfill all your social and personal needs. For me, it is just, thank god, another day had passed. Pong pong pong! hahahahha.....

Sinking Ship

Sinking Ship- A new term thrown to me last night by jun. I began to feel it is easy to start a relationship but hard to maintain. When one is too busy and overwhelmed with things and try to seek for all sort of freedom, other may feel lack of togetherness or even drifting apart. Everyone is fighting for their future, one way or another, it may be different.

Some are very bright, scholars have path ready for them to walk. Others may want something simple and less stressful work. But that translate to lower income. There are also some who lead a normal job that always hv the free time to be each other. I have come to a conclusion, I always tot my situation is best understood by pple ard me but hey, I may be incorrect.

I ever tried to break away from the chain but was rejected several times. That got me piss and decide to work on new plans. While one is struggling hard, working as separate entity, you are blamed for neglecting feeling and end up in a sinking ship. hmmm... So all this while no one understand the nature of the job or am I just expecting pple to know? Well, every individual have their needs, we cant fulfill to everyone's satisfaction.

Besides striving to work hard, you tend to seek for all sorts of enjoyment. You may wanna get the other party involved but pple have different interest, we cant expect them to follow suit. I remember i used to lament a lot abt work and some irritating issues. hahaha... And one would start to feel "stop it"! hahahaha... Aiyah, I din know I am such a pest! hahahha

Of course, since 10 over years ago, I have a potential threat at home. There is nothing much I can do but to pray it wont explode. All these years I have been coping with these while continue to work hard for future. It is never easy. I should try my best to spare more tots for others while pursing other things. I hope i can become a WAN NENG guy, everything also can do it. hahaha.. Boleh la....

Love is an Enjoyment

I was watching a local production when Berlinda Lee said "Love is an Enjoyment" while "Marriage is a commitment". I was instantaneously attracted to the show because I am amazed by the conversation. She said I prefer freedom and enjoyable life than to commit myself in heavy responsiblities. hahaha... Days of Modern Woman.

A guy asked, "Woman enter into a relationship with the goal of getting married eventually?" However Berlinda replied "These are thoughts of ancient woman, outdated! If you find love as something you indulge and enjoy, you wont want to commit in a marriage soon." Wow! I cant believe the script writer can actually made a lady make such comments! From what I know, most woman still prefer to get married, they rather commit in responsibilty than enjoy!!! I guess probably guys prefer the other way round!!

Haahhaha.. Why are pple behaving in a manner similar to ancient times? Is it because they are naturally born with it or is it because of education? Or are we shaped in a way which the government wants or determine preferably by what our seniors? I am just curious. We only accept whatever we were taught but never question? Why? Is it true that we are born losers cos we dun know how to challenge and always accept things as they are?

Time have changed and yet some are still living in ancient times. Of cos there are pro and cons to it. What I am concerned is why do we accept silently and do not retailate? Just because others are doing it does not equate you must be doing the same. In my nature of job, I am always asked to question and challenge pple's thought. I am getting used to it and till now, I always challenge pple with difficult questions. If everyone would do the same, I guess we will be more open and probably think out of the box. hahah.. However, some may feel, life is a mess! Dilemma.. hahhaah

2010 Marriage

I was reading some newspaper article about getting married on 10 October 2010 when i discovered it is a very negative year. According to report, every 10 couples who get married next year, 3 of them will end up divorce. Why is this so? Masters or shifu called it “孤年” or simply lonely year. It is not suitable for marriage as you will end up alone eventually.

There is another explanation call 桃花年。That means even if you get married, there will not be any form of blessing from heaven. Even married couple faces the danger of divorcing. 明年是太阳化入，太阳化科之年，形成天狗食月，也代表女尊男卑。意识就是婚姻内，女性当权。 Thus to overcome this, the female got to be older than the guy or a divorcee remarries or someone who had lost their partner remarries. Only these 3 categories are suitable for marriage.

As for those who opt for marriage on 10 October, well, masters and shifu termed that day as “凶日”meaning inauspicious day. In the lunar calendar, it is 九月初三。Many chinese believe that to get married on the month of 九月 is not very auspicious. It falls on 重阳节, where pple can revisit tombs of their deceased relatives. In other words, time to offer prayers to the dead again. However, if the couple do not have any religious belief, then it should be fine for them since it is an easy date to remember.

I am very surprised most of the masters share the same view. I thought that may be differing views. Most term it as inauspicious year. I guess the year 2010 is year of tiger. In term of zodiac, I felt that was considered a big zodiac. Not too good to make important decision. Just lie low and keep a low profile. For those getting married, just a note of cautious, be truthful and sincere to your partner and you should tie over the crisis.

Goodbye Desktop!

Wanted to blog but keep forgetting! Yeah! I got my new laptop!! It is my first laptop in my life. Yep, its a Sony Vio. So classy and nice. Its a white one!!! My Acer desktop has finally retired. I bought it six years ago during my final year in NTU. I remember I purchased it at Funan Centre with either Hao or Dad. Gosh, that was long ago lor!!

I bought the Acer desktop cos I was shifting into a single room from a double room at hall. It was one of the latest desktop lor. It was very good tat time. I remembered downloading many songs and movies from hall. hahahha... Speed was damn fast. I did my FYP using tat terminal, catch tons of movies n tvb serials. hahahha.. So many moments with it!!

However, it was once corrupted and I have to reformat the whole computer. Then I started using my bro's vio laptop. That was my first time in contact with laptop. The desktop survive for another 2 years when i first got broadband. The speed and RAM took a turn when i was forced to upgrade due to msn problem, the computer went haywire.

The computer is unable to support the newly upgraded service pack. The RAM is working at its maximum capacity. Speed is always slow and it takes me 5 min for the computer to be powered up. It will take me another 5 mins to shut down. hahaha.. Even though Jun helped me to upgrade the RAM, it is still working at a stressful mode. Time to retire liao! It will be shifted to my sister's place soon.

SITEX finally came and I decide to purchase a new lappy. Worth the money. Only 1468! hhahah.. The retailer threw in some freebies like norton virus software, optical mouse, cleaning kit and 8 GB flash disk. So happy!!! Now it is time to enjoy this new lappy. I am loving it cos of its sleekness and faster RAM!

War on Markie

I hereby announce lost of the war on Markie. hahaha... I never expect things will take for a turn when we found out the truth. Though we have lost, we will never give up on our attacks. 人在做，天在看。我就睁大眼睛，看看故事怎么发展下去。Seriously, I want to see what will happen eventually. Will a man becomes a pussy cat while a woman becomes top of the world? Interesting rite?

I also believe that love is blind. Life without Markie is pointless. Some pple needs a mark to survive. Without a mark, they cant live on . Is it true that one must control the other to lead a better life? Or someone with a higher economic power rule the world, including in a relationship? Can someone please explain? Am i rite to say that a relationship is just like a business deal? Whenever I say such things, no one believe. They felt i was simply toking rubbish.

Now come to the next issue, force marriage. Do you consider this as a force marriage when someone ask "Where is my ring?" I seldom hear this kind of remarks. The worst thing is when one of the party say, "Dun you think it is too fast to get married now, however, for the time being, I will accept it?" Kinda sound wierd but to some others, they feel satisifed as they have reached their final objective, to get married. hahahha.. Is this consider 变态？

Recently, I heard about relatives asking pple into marriage. This is not something new if it comes from a parent. Shocking to say, it comes from someone who trys to act mamarama. lol. I am not trying to be rude but pple who act mamarama is neither polite. I remember I once said, pple who are 刁蛮 to me, I can be more 刁蛮。The blood flows in me. hahhaha... People who carries the same surname with me behaves the same too.

I can create tension if i want. It is a matter of do i want it or not. Forcing pple into marriage wont lead to anywhere, except creating more problem for the couple. Will marriage solve the problem? I seriously feel a marriage should come progressively and naturally. If someone force you into doing something, would you like it? hahhaa... Afterall, marriage is something personal. Pple dun meddle into others personal life.

I can be a good boy and on the other hand, i can be very nasty if i want. Some may know, some may dunno. I dun like relatives. All these time, they never help but only create more problems. I can say things that will cut off relationship with the other party. If they like, they can dare me. I have already boycotted some. hahhaa... I respect pple who respect others. If you do not give any form of respect, i dun think you deserve it even though u are someone senior. I curse. Remember. hahahha... 刁蛮

Official Launch of Anti Mark Campaign

Yep. Initiated by me and ken, we have decided to launch a campaign against markies. lol. What is markies? hahaha... Only the privilege will know. This is in response to unreasonable demands and pretendious behaviour put up by the opposite sex. If you want a tyrant to be your partner, then stay away from us. hahha.. If you want to protest against a tyrant, do join us!

The major operation will start this evening with heavy bomb shelling from our side. I would expect markie to launch another massive attack on us. To be honest, we are prepared to fight this war. As long as it is on our interest, we see no reason why we should give in. As for the one who is sitting at the most difficult position, he is given a choice. Take it or leave it.

Sometimes, i felt guys are simply too coward. They can be so established in all areas of field but when come to "this issue", they lost out. What is wrong with pple nowsaday? Is control really so important to you? Does tat mean that, if i love you, i have to control your life? I hate all these kind of controlling as it doesnt make sense. Even parents now cant hv control over their kids, how can a partner do the same thing?

Ridiculous. The campaign on Anti Mark may be a showdown eventually. Though there may be nothing to be achieve in the end, we still make our official stand. It is now up to the one to decide. If the one feels this is good enough, then best of luck. However, do not expect me and ken to give any form of blessing. 14 Years Old

This is the golden age for many young teens. I have a phobia with the age of this group. Cos it is the time when they start to turn rebellious, forget about wat they were taught in school, forget abt their parents belief and take things into their own hand. I would call it the treshold level. Once a teen go pass this level, it will determine if he or she is good or bad. Really. I have numerous experience on this.

My mum told me a story of a teenage girl that I used to play with her when she was a little kid. Well, I am older than her by 16 years old. When she was a baby, she used to come to my place. A well manner ger. Taken care by my auntie. Whenever she sees me, she will call me kor kor. Even when she was a primary school kid, she is still obedient and very well manner. Her father is a Japanese. Somehow, she is a decent and quiet ger. Very good upbringing.

Things change when she moved on to secondary school. Yep, the golden age. She started dating guys. Ha... That is when issues start to grow out of hand. I was shocked when i learned that she even had a tatoo now!!! Shocking! How would a decent ger like her change so much? Influence from Bf? Influence from friends? My belief remains.

Environment changes and nobody knows what is going to happen. Would you expect a decent sweet ger to turn devil and seductive? She has good upbringing but why did that happen? Her father dotes her a lot . However, she was caned badly for the first time when her dad realise her daughter become so notti. Japanese parents dun usually believe in violence. Her mum is a Singaporean. It is kinda of surprise for me again. hahahha.. I cant believe her dad actually cane her. Never in his life he had ever beat his kid. I think he must be terribly upset.

So my question still remains unanswered. hahhaa.. A kid who is young and well behave doesnt equate to the same when they grow older. Environment forces a person to change and to a certain extend, to be good or bad. However, there is a grey line, what is determine as good or wat is determine as bad? When you feel good, it does not mean others will feel the same. It is not an easy job. hahahha... Nonetheless, kids of these days are scary. Cute and sweet daughter or son may turn nasty on you. eeeeeeeeeeek... one word. "PRETENDIOUS" hahahahha

Ever Changing World

Its has been a good 1 month since I last blogged. Was busy with Apec summit here as I was coordinating and doing lots of stuff. I have lots of issues to blog about but when I got home, I felt tired and forget abt it. hahaha.. You can call it lazy but please bear with me. hahaha.. I really wish i could blog more like what i used to in the past. It will be a one week break for me. Hopefully, i will have some time to bitch.

While working today, I was posted a question by jun about getting married. To many who are around my age, you get to hear this kind of question very often. hahaha.. My reply is always the same. Anyone who can fork out at least 50k for me, i will register straight away. Whenever i gave that comment, everyone just kept quiet. May i know why? Or am i too straight to the point?

It is good to get married with someone you love. However, marriage is not about you and me. It is always a big affair involving a large number of pple. What i am concern is whether will i be able to meet these pple demand. It could be family, it could be friends or etc. Of course, the main parties are parents. How will they think of you if u make the wedding a simple affair? How will relatives think? These are many questions unanswered.

No doubt, others still get married. However, I believe parents would have somehow or rather fork out some cash to help the couple tie over. What about the amount you need for buying a new house? It is not as simple as many think. If I am the only son, well, the answer is simple. hahah.. Too bad, I still have siblings and a baby nephew to take care of. All these voice down to one thing. $$$$$ Cold hard cash.

Well, another issue to dealt with is the change of human's perception. Things are changing, pple are also changing, mindset are also different. Relationship is about building trust and sharing life with each other. However, it is different now. It is fun and in control. Who can control the other party, who can have more fun wins. Arent you scare?

You can be a simple and righteous person today. Do you dare to say you will be the same 10 years later? Are we all in disguise or just pretending all these while? I have been asking the same questions many times. hahhaa.. No solid answer yet. I have a friend who has a kind hearted gf who do charitable work. I am surprised to learn that she is equally shallow and materialistic. Has she been pretending or she has been this way all the while but undiscovered? hahahha... I think pple need time to accept these changes.

After serious issues, it is time for a short break. hahahha... Yeah, its holiday! LOL!! I hope i shall have some good rest before embarking on another round of work.

World have changed! I got to admit we have to succumb to these changes. Female todays are more daring and courageous than their counterparts. According to a latest report, 526 teenagers have contracted sexually transmitted disease. Out of these pple, the majority who contracted are FEMALES. hahhaa... It was a surprise to me. How can it be?

People always argue that guys are more physical than gers. I think this is an understatement. In fact, they are probably 10 times hornier than guys. Who came up with the theory of gers are more emotional? Haaa.. I think the person have failed miserably in this era. Times have changed and women are no longer passive. They are emotional and PHYSICAL.

I was shocked when i learned that female had more sex than guys. WOW! hahaha... Should I congratulate them or feel sorry for them? Doctors said gers mature quicker than guys, they tend to crave for body more often. hahaha.. Sounds wierd. I tot its always the guys? hahahha... I am wrong! Evidence had proven that gers lead to pack!

That goes back to one issue. Moral Value! Gers today no longer care abt these values as long as they can be satisfied physically. That was what happened to many guys in the ancient era. Now gers want their fair share in the market. hahaha... I think they deserve it since they have been fighting so hard. I think whatever we learn in school and what parents teach are no longer important. They are just "rubbish" that you can throw it away once u r horny. hahhaa.. Am i right? lol

I think I should wake myself up to face this new era. When pple do not say, that doesnt mean they dun do it. That is what most Singaporeans like. They keep quiet but do a lot of funny things that can really shocked the world. hahahha... Indeed pretendious! hahhaa.. We are simply pretendious citizens. Whose fault? Society? Government? Maybe Jun is right? hahha... If you dun hold on to your moral values till death, that means no moral value now. I think more than 90% of the population are in that range, does tat mean the majority are no longer moral value minded? So the minority are outcast or worse till, outliers! hahaha... Most pple forget about moral values, forget about what were taught in school.

Dun tell me, you dun even know your husband's character when you got married? Just because he is a honest guy, down to earth guy, but dun know anything about creating romance, that deserves you to date another guy? So the reason is sufficient for the wife to forgo all the moral values she had hold till she reaches 40plus?? hahhaha... Very interesting rite. Look at the story.

Is there anything wrong for a factory operator to go home for peace without talking much to the wife? I agree there is a lack of communication, but i am sure if the couple could iron out the issues they should be able to overcome. Well, they even had a 12 year old kid. I believe the husband must be those very quiet and "guai guai" type. That is why the wife marries him. But what did the husband get in return, a betrayal wife. Cos of? No communication.

Wow, what a good reason for the wife to forgo her moral values. I am not sure if she did try to salvage the relationship. However, she had an affair while maintaining a relationship with the husband. Is the wife horny? or is she desperate for Love again? Remember, there are different ways of expressing love. Her husband's way maybe to be home on time, bring money home, that is call love. If the wife dun like, then why marry him in the first place? Yes, he is a blockhead, but he is still a good husband.

WHy?????? Moral value in confict again? Cant hold till death? So is this what i always refer to as "PRETEND"? All these while his wife pretends to be a good wife only? Can somebody explain why she wasnt like tat 12 years ago before having their kid, but change only decade later? I believe they dated sometime before marriage. hahhaa.. Really champion. I just find it strange that more and more issues like these are reported.

Are we going through some kind of brainwashing or are we still staying in the ancient era? Well, i agree it is good to maintain some moral values if you can. The skeptical thing is how long can you maintain? People, good luck to you! hahahhaa....

Lack of Moral Values

I seriously wonder these day if people are really lack of moral values. There are many articles about old man and woman who got cheated or somehow deprive of love or sex. I mean you have already reach that age, i believe there are more important things to do than love and sex rite? Or am i wrong? hahha..

Cos by that age, if u date someone younger or prettier, there must be some reasons to it. An article by Shin Min reported that an old man in his 70s, was found dead in a hotel in Balestier. He was naked. It was also reported that he had a loving wife yet found naked and dead in a hotel. To add on, he went to the hotel with a lady whom i believe may be a PRC. Dun tell me they are in the hotel reading story book. So what had happen?

First it was a woman in her 50s who got cheated by a younger man, next a 70 year old man found dead in a hotel. It is kinda of strange these days to read this kind of news. Jun commented that the younger generation lack of moral values. People of our age consider not bad, there are still a few who withhold such values. However, i told her, it is only a minority. Even the older ones are changing their mindset. Who in these day cares about moral value?

You may be morally right now, but do you dare to say 50 years down the road, will you be the same? Look at the old man. I believe no one dare to make such promises. I am surprised to learn that "男人婚后五年就痒". Hahahha.. Wanbao just reported and it really caught my attention. It was 7 years in the past but now its been reduce to five years. Wow! Moral value in conflict again?

I guess in the years to come, we will expect more of these craps. Kids nowsaday inherit a lot of funny things. Even if it was not naturally born, environment will change their mindset. I dare not predict the future. Let's see how things will change as the days goes by....

Old Woman Tragedy

Finally some time to update this blog again!! hahaha... It is now like 3-4 entries per month. I shall try my best to update whenever possible. Having a bit of sore throat today. Wanted to blog earlier but forgot it. haha... Have not prepared the speech for the upcoming Speech Day. I am still thinking what to say to motivate my juniors.

Anyway, there have been lots of reports about old man and woman getting in a relationship at the age of 50 to 60. I almost laugh at one woman who is in her 50s, found her "real love" after a divorce with her husband. She has 2-3 kids and yet i feel, she is behaving like a 17-18 year old teenager. I wonder what is wrong with the woman these days. Still have the urge to talk about love and also SEX at tat age?

This woman was eventually cheated. The old man was after her money and hdb flat. I think she gave money to the man blindlessly. When she told papers about how she met the guy, i was already laughing lor. She thinks its love at first sight or sex at first sight? hahahha.. Really lor. Invite the man to the house n end up in the room. Wah Biang! I pray to her. Get cheated so easily at that age!!!

Is it true that woman desperately wants love no matter how old she is? A woman cant judge when she falls for a man? Are some woman feeling horny all the time and needs men to satisfy them? How can one who is so old still make the mistake which her daughter may be making? Seriously, i wonder wat is wrong with our women.

Well, for man, i would say, if he wants an old woman, its definitely the money. IF not, they could go for a young woman or better still young PRC girls that can satisfy them. hahha.. Its the trend. But i m surprised woman are behaving in similar manner too. Man and Woman are equal now! hahhaa.. All the best to old woman who are still seeking for the man in life!

1 million Foreigners

Opps! Been 2 weeks since i last blogged! lol. Too lazy and tired to blog as i have still got a lot of things to do at work. Oh man. Its always the same reason. Work and work. Well, although i have more off days, however, that does not equate to more free time. I still got to work at times on off days. Damn... Have been recalled back to office very often lately. haiz... Nonetheless, I have been given compensate off.

I wanted to blog about something. Our population! Yes, according to the statistic dept, Singapore's population is near to 5 million. That's really a lot for a small country with limited land space. Are we turning into HK no2? Though HK had a larger land mass than us, most land are occupied by mountain. Flat land only made up a small portion. Thus, more pple congregate on limited land space and tat's y we always see so many pple in HK.

Are we becoming like HK too? I think it will. Over the last decade, i think our population exploded like more than a million. Tat's scary. Bear in mind, its not because Singaporeans are giving birth to more babies but more foreigners coming in. They made up 20% of the population!!! So who are the largest group?

I think most of us can answer. The country that celebrated their 60th anniversary! PRC! Yep, we see more mainland chinese coming over to Singapore to work, study or watsoever. The entire island is really "infested" with mainlanders. Though I dun have any problem with them, deep down, i feel we are going to become a province of PRC soon. hahhaa.. Nanyang Province or SGSAR (Singapore Special Administrative Region)

From professionals to service staff to coffee shops hawkers to cleaners, most are PRC chinese. The government have been urging them to learn English. I realise most could not speak or understand simple English except for the professionals. I pity our minority races. Can they really communicate with them? Is it true that we only absorb more mainlanders because they love to come over?

People were speculating about if we will merge with our neighbours in the north. As more mainlanders migrate and stay here, are we going to fly the RED flag with five stars? hahaha.. Honestly, if we got more PRCs here, one day u might not be surprise that they will hang their flag out to celebrate National Day on 1 Oct. hahhaa.. So should we also give up our 9 Aug in exchange for 1 Oct National Day??? Haiz...

Can we absorb other nationalities other than our PRCs counterpart? I am concern if our population structure will undergo significant changes as a result of more mainlanders. Let's wait and see....

Dim Sum Land

Time to blog!! hahahha... Too busy travelling ard this time. As a result, i had no time to blog!! First was Taipei, then Tom Yum Land, ended with Dim Sum Land. hahah... It was really fun travelling n flying ard. Really makes me feel like an air steward. To fly to a few countries within 2 weeks is something i have never done before. I mean in Asia.

I shall blog abt Dim Sum Land since i just got back 2 days ago. I took a flight from budget terminal to Macau before taking a ferry to HK. Quite a new experience to me but it was very tiring. The travelling makes me feel very tired. I was clubbing the previous day, so the next day was like, wow... However, i really enjoyed the trip.

I had a few first time in Dim Sum land. First, it was my first LV wallet. Never in my life had i bought such an expensive wallet. I treat it as a reward for my hardwork in Indonesia. Well, my burberry wallet is gone liao la. So decided to upgrade to a new one. It's a nice LV wallet. I simply love the design and the feel of buying it. Shiok!

Another first time was my encounter with Typhoon! Never experience Typhoon before. It was a new experience to me. Typhoon Koppu passed by HK on 14/9 night. The weatherman asked everyone to stay home. Shops were closed by 7pm. Ferry services terminated too. Streets were quiet with few pple walking. Many shops taped their glass door in case the glasses shattered due to strong winds

Rain started pouring ard midnite. I went out at abt 10pm plus to experience it. Gusty winds!! Trees were swaying and would be uprooted anytime. Signboards were also swaying in the wind. There were lots of leaves all over the floor. Umbrella seems useless at that point. There were drizzle then sudden down pour. I walked across the street to buy Macdonald for supper. hahaha.. Fight against the wind!!!

Then by midnite, it was thunderstorm and heavy winds. TV station carry live report of the Typhoon and i was shocked to see some youngsters at Tsim Sha Tsui Harbour to experience the typhoon!!! Sea waters were choppy and winds were strong! But i pity the reporters. Work at nite and in strong winds!! Not easy...

So much for Dim Sum land. Of course food is another treasure in hk. Had lots of dim sum la. hahha.. Delicious n cheap. One thing abt HK is tat their ingredients are complete. Unlike us in SG, even for prawns hv to cut into half. Aiyoooo, egg also half... They give complete portion. Eat till i feel damn shiok. Then i also had roasted goose. Yummy! However, it was expensive for that meal. hahaha.. Someone intro us to try. Worth it for the price la....

I hope to return to Dim Sum Land next year. hahha.. For more shopping and food again!!!

Tom Yum Land

I am supposed to blog about my Taipei trip. Hahaah... However, i was too tired from last nite assignment. Slept early in anticipation of BKK trip. It was a tiring assignment yesterday when i have to oversee the running of a new project. Not easy as i have never done it before. Thankfully, i had some reference to check upon. Had lots of fun with my part time colleague and also my friend who was roped in for help. It took me almost a day. I still need to do some post production. ggrrr... Will be back next week to finish up.

We went Holland V last nite to chill. Nice ambience at one of the winebar. Had some red wine while i was intro to more friends. The red wine taste was soothing, not the usual dry taste. Din had headache after finishing it. Then we had this XO beehoon. hahha.. This new friend of mine ordered a bottle of Heneken for me to drink. OMG! I would say it is quite relax to drink after work with a couple of friends.

Back to Tom Yum Land, this is the first trip for this year since i last went last April in 2008. That time i went with Melven and his friend. This time its back to Gavin. hahaha.. Well, we can get to meet Ed and his wifey. Nothing much to shop for me since i have reserved all my shopping for Taipei and HK. It will be more of food and clubbing this time. Oh, not to forget, we booked quite a nice hotel. I presume i can relax at the hotel too. Nice indoor and outdoor pool, i think there is also a gym. hahah.. Location is fantastic. Near to four face buddha.

I have 3 mins left before the system shut off automatically. hahha.. I am blogging from Changi Terminal 2 this time. :P Have a great weekend ahead! Cheers pple!

Andy Lau Lied

Hmmm! Wierd! Something is very wrong with Blogspot! I wonder what is wrong with the settings. Nonetheless i am still able to post my entry. Many things to talk about especially after my trip from Taipei this time. I think i will post one at a time. Hahahha.. My amazing race asia started last tuesday. I am back on Monday but was busy with some last min assignment. Grrrr....

The hottest topic in town is Andy Lau's marriage with Choo Lay Keng. OMG! He finally confessed he is married to Malaysian Pegeant Choo! Wow! In the past, there were many rumours that he was married, had kids but he denied everything. Worse still, there was even rumour that he was gay and slept with guys and models. hahhaha.. So the truth is out.

I guess he had no choice but to admit to his marriage. Reporters had evidence of his marriage and he cant hide anymore. Well, i am surprised he is able to date someone for 24 years and get married recently. I understand this is something personal, he can choose not to reveal anything to protect his wife as well as his career.

However, i personally feel that as a man, he should have done more than that. Keeping under table wont do him good. Afterall, it is perfectly fine for a man to married a woman. I dun see anything wrong about that. Yes, he can have many constraints cos he is a public figure and also pressure from the press, but then again, look at many examples around him. Jackie Chan, Alan Tham, Sandra Ng, they are able to handle it professionally. Why not Andy? Even our local artise Fann Wong and Christopher Lee are declaring their status and marriage openly. Where is the problem?

In an exclusive interview with HK cable this year, Andy continued to deny he is not married and will announce to everyone when he is married. Sad to say, he is already married tat time. Honestly, i was disappointed with him, not because he is married but the way he try to cover up and fail to give his wife a status. To make things worse, when his father in law passed away, his wife family have to accede to all his request to protect his identity. No mention of name, body guards, umbrella to shield away from media during the funeral wake etc. Just feel wierd.

One person that i must commend is Andy's wife. She is courageous and truly love her hubby. She is the woman that stood behind Andy all this while. This is what i call TRUE LOVE. Not those dear this dear that or buy me LV if u love me kind of relationship or every single min to call the other party. I ask all woman who read my blog, will you be able to accept a husband like Andy when you are not allow to tell the world he is your husband? Can you do it? I think more than 90% cant do it. Bear in mind, the whole family have to remain low profile and even lie. Who can? If you can, i take my hats off you.

Amazing Race Asia

Life is still the same. Busy busy busy! Dun understand why we had 24 hour a day only. How i wish i had more than 24 hours a day. After NDP, life is back to normal. Although i still had occasional rush, everything is under control. I have been recall to work on my off day again. hahaha.. Well, at least i do others a favour. I hope others will do me a favour one day too.

Preparing for my upcoming trip. hahhaa.. Save a lot from some bookings today. hahhaa.. My trip to HKG is confirmed as i have delayed the trip since May. Well, due to H1N1, i postponed my trip to Sept. Time have arrived. I booked the same hotel that i stayed last year. hahha.. There was a huge discount for 4 star hotel. Damn worth it lor. I save more than $100. I like that hotel too cos its near to the MTR station. Time to go shop again!!!

I will be flying ard for the next couple of weeks. It will begin with a trip to Taipei. I will meet my friend in KL first before we move off. I will be in KL for a short stayover then to TPE. Exciting. Never try tat before. After my trip from TPE, i will be going of to BKK to meet thai king. whahhha.. Been more than a year since i last went to BKK. That time i was with Melven. This time, it will be a reunion of NTU classmates. hahaha.. Nice

Then finally, it will be HKG. Then again, i will transit in Macau. Another first time. Never try flying to Macau then HKG. Ooooh. So looking forward to 3 trips in a row! Oh yes, i got a fantastic deal from SQ to Bkk. hahha... $269 only. Inclusive of taxes and everything. wow. Too good to be true. hahhaa.. The only non budget flight that i will be taking!! Yeah!

The Mystery of the Missing Bat Cover

Hmm... Its seems there are some changes made to blogger. hahhaa.. Opps! It has been long since i last blog again. :P Although National Day is over, i still wanna say Happy Belated National Day! hahahha.. I was so busy over the last few weeks due to NDP. I have been going to the floating platform for 3 wkends. Oh man.. Walking ard the Bay Area is really tiring.

To be honest, i am not a pro NDP person cos i have been to NDP once and it was a great torture to me after the show. That year was still at National Stadium. I literally walked across Sheares Bridge to Suntec to take a train back home. Terrible. After that, i told myself NO MORE NDP SPECTATORS. However, over the last few years, i am still attending NDP, this time as a worker. hahahha... When pple watched beautiful fireworks, i will be running around somewhere feeling stress. hahaha... Thankfully, i am not a big sucker for fireworks.

Back to missing HP battery cover. I lost it last weekend! I only discovered it when i went to work during NDP. It's really strange. I have no idea how i lose it. I searched high and low in office but couldnt find it. Felt lost for a while. Then tried hard to recall but my mind was totally blank.

I could have lost the cover while on my way to work. I din realised it cos my thumb was so called "fractured" that day. Quite painful and i din hold my phone properly. Thus, i din discover the lost till i reach office. I could have also lost it the night before at Dbl O. I was high that nite and might have dropped it there or even in the cab.

Manage to buy the cover today cos i was off. Went to vivo LG store to enquire and i was told to go to their headquarters in Alexandra. Checked out an Ah Beng store, they din sell it too. Grrrrrr. Skipped gym and headed to Alexandra to get it. Fortunately, LG Headquarters really sell spare parts and i got the cover for $12. Since i was there, the counter staff said i could upgrade my phone as well. Ha.. So they upgraded my HP system.

So much for my update. Hope to keep it running once i am free! Cheers!!

Retiring from Dbl O

Guess i have really retired from clubbing scene. hahaha... I was back home last weekend after meeting up with my NTU friends. Well, maybe the time is right. It is time to retire and resume my other routines. It all started cos of the amount of work lately. I dun have the luxury time to enjoy this time cos i am totally shag out after work. I feel like going back home to sleep.

After 4 years, it is time to take a back seat in Dbl O. Many fond memories yet there were times that i feel irritated. People come and go. Some remain while others left for good. What should i say? The sunshine crew has finally call for the day. It is time for others to take the lead. We have been dancing to retro for so long and yet we are not sick. Honestly, i am not sick of the songs, i still love them. Just tat i am tired... I will go on an irregular basis instead.

Speaking of last Saturday, the Thai King was back. This time he brought his Thai Queen too. Yep, they are finally getting married. Felt happy for them. Thai king bought a condo in Bkk. We were invited to stay if we dropped by his place. That was nice of him. They will ROM here in October while a Thai customary marriage will be held in Thailand in Dec.

I cant imagine he is the first to get married among us. hahahha... I have never think he will want to get married. Well, many reasons. He is the single go lucky kind. He had many dreams to fufill so i guess he wont settle down so soon. Secondly, family reasons might have detered him from getting married. Well, he had overcome all the obstacles eventually. Good for him. If he were to come back SG for good, his wife will follow him. hahaha.. Sweet.

We went to Bedok Fengshan market to eat. 5 of us were there. Very nice. Classmates since uni days. I had my first taste of the all time favourite mince meat noodle. Delicious. The soup and noodle were nice. We had bbq chicken wings and wu xiang too. hahaha. We were so full. I guess age is catching up and we dare not order too much. We wanted to order carrot cake but gave up. hahaha... A homely and carefree gathering. I hope to look forward to more such outings. :)

Working Madly

Just when i tot i had sometime to bitch and blog, i suddenly had tons of work piling up! Gosh! hahaha... No time to update again. I have been working so hard that i din have any days off for the last 2 weeks. Work work n MORE work! I asked myself how long will this last... hahhaa... My social life, my time with friends and family, really gone!

Javier bday is coming and i cant celebrate with him. So sad! hahha.. I hope he will enjoy himself with the company of other kids. Time flies. Javier is one year old liao. I have been telling him his bday is coming. He will just stare and make that cheeky smile to me. I dunno where the hell he learn how to clap. When he hear nice music, he will start to clap. wow. So young but know the rhythem. hahahha.. Next time also party goer. hahahha....

I have been disturbing him and ask him to clap. He really clap wor. This afternoon before i left my house for work, he actually cried cos he wanna follow. Damn. My heart melt a bit. hahaha.. However, he is still very troublesome at times. His screamings and voice really tear the house down. To make things worse, he has a pair of itchy hands! Loves to touch n try new things. Just like LA BI XIAO XIN!

Back to work, i have been doing a lot of stuff lately. I even became a telephone operator. haiz. Long story. Nonetheless, there was one night when i work till nearly 1am. Cant believe it. There was also another nite when i was asked to do a very late night assignment. Why me?! 2 late assignments within a week!!! I treat it as a challenge. Life is not a bed of roses after all.

Though there is satisfaction, sometimes i really feel tired. Just want to have some rest n peace. Finally got an off day after being recall for work for 2 days. Din have proper rest since last week. I have been rushing ard like no body business. I need some quality time to chill. If not, i think i will suffer from overwork. hahahha... Cheers!

Bombings In Jakarta

Stupid blogger la. Everytime during crisis, it will hang and i have to rewrite everything again. Two bomb strike in Jakarta this morning killing several pple. One was in Ritz Carlton while the other was in JW Marriot. It is the same hotel that was bombed few years ago. Damn. I cant believe that it happened all over again.

I am fortunate i am back home. I was still there last Friday. Everything seems so peaceful and quiet. Who would know another terrorist attack will take place again? I have been worrying for this eversince i was in Jakarta late last month. Every nite before i sleep, i feel unsecure. Though i am in a protected hotel, i dun feel safe. I am worried something may happen in the middle of the night or even during the day anytime!

Security have been tight all these while when i was there. There are security checks in hotels, shopping centres, offices and almost all western facilities. How could it have happened? Apparently pple were having breakfast when the explosion took place. Innocents were killed just like tat. haiz...

We must not take stability and security for granted. I guess most Singaporeans are living in a peaceful place and always take many things for granted. Peace is not something u enjoyed for free, u have to work for it. Thank God that i am home. If i am still there, i think i can imagine the chaos and foreigners rushing to airport. Scary lor! I wonder how my Indonesian friends in Jakarta is doing now... haiz....

Life in CGK

Since i am free this week, i shall have more time to update my blog a bit. I wonder if anyone still reads my blog or have forgotten it entirely? hahhaha.. I wont blame them cos i have not been updating it regularly. I wish i can have more than 24 hours so that i can update my blog and do other stuff. hahahha... Back to the topic on my life in CGK.

It was a pretty dusty morning when i arrived at Jakarta. My colleague from Jakarta office updated me on what will be happening over the next few days. I was like in a daze when he talked to me. I was listening and digesting as the car drove along the congested streets. This is in fact the second time i was in Jakarta. The first time was in 1997 when i was only 18. However, i cant remember Jakarta. No memories of the place. hahhaha....

Once i reached office, i started work immediately. I woke up at 5 am tat day ok. hahaha... After a flight, i am still quite fresh though hungry by tat time. Called various pple to see if they can help. I made a call to the Chinese Association where i spoke to a nice lady. We had a fair bit of conversation as i get to understand the situation in Indonesia better. She provided me with some contacts that i could call.

While waiting for another contact, i manage to spoke to the chairman of the chinese association. He was a nice man. He even invited me to attend their programs on the spot. I am like wow! They feel honoured when they found out that a foreigner is there to interview them. I chatted with him briefly. By noon, my contact got back to me and we were on our way to meet another important figure in the community.

I had lunch at a noodle store. Really yummy! Junlin brought me there to have a taste of the local food. He was very helpful throughout the trip. He got me a prepaid SIM card where i can call. It is so much cheaper to call in Indonesia and also back home using the prepaid card. I wonder why our calls charges are so expensive.

The first interviewee i met was a prominent figure in the chinese community. He had strong views on various issues, ranging from Indonesian chinese to the presidential election. We talked a lot and i was glad Junlin manage to contact him. He was even kind enough to arrange for other people whom i can speak to. Thanks Mr Hartono. It made my job so much easier.

By the time i went back to office, it was almost 7pm. I went back to hotel with all my luggage. However, there was no king size bed room available on a non smoking floor. I had no choice but to choose on a single bed room. Grrrrrr. But its ok la, the bed is still big enough. Though there was a king size bed room, but it was in the smoking floor. Sorry, but i dun really like the smell of ciggies. So i settled for the single bed room. However, i was told they need to clean up the room and i have to wait for another 45 mins.

Gosh! hahah.. I was famished! No choice, so i decided to wait. They gave me 2 complimentary drinks at the bar while i waited. When it was time, i almost fainted. I went up to the room immediately, put down my stuff and went for dinner. I was dead tired on the first day. Ate in my room and slept almost immediately.

Before the CGK Trip

It was not an easy task when i first know that i will be heading to Jakarta in July. Plans have been revised several times. Initially, I was scheduled to go on 5 July during April. I have already started some planning and see what i can do. Then when the days draw near, i was asked to leave earlier, in fact almost a week earlier.

I was like wow! 10 days in a foreign land and to continue support my local office. What should i do, how should i go about doing it? All these were in my mind before the trip. Honestly, i din eat and sleep properly days before the trip. I am worried i may screw up or cant produce something out of it. In the mean time, i still need to do my routine work and work on other stuff. It wasnt easy to juggle.

I remembered a day before i left for Jakarta, it was raining. I was thinking if heaven were also worried for me. Thankfully, it went on smoothly. I collected 2 boxes of videophone that were like 30 over kilogrammes. Excess baggage! Pat came to my rescue and helped me to bring it home. I must really thank him for helping me out.

During the day before i left, i was given a crash course on how to use the videophone. Really tough lor. Then i did some last minute coordinating work with my office in Jakarta and also my personal contact there. Rushed home, packed my luggage and it was still drizzling! I went Compasspoint to withdraw more cash for the trip as i need to pay for my local driver etc. Company had advance cash for me.

I slept at almost 1am. Woke up at 5am. Time to go! Had a quick breakfast in airport and i boarded the SQ plane shortly. This is the first time i feel so stressed up when i sat alone in the plane. hhahah.. Cos most of the time, its for holiday! I ate only a little during the flight and dun even have the mood to check out the in flight entertainment. 1.5hours later, i landed at CGK.

I was greeted by my office representatives there. The first thing he said was "welcome to the land of creative or vibrant chaos!" hahha.. I got to agree after 10 days there! lol. More on the trip in my other post. For now, i am taking a break. Cheers!

WTF. I have to rewrite my blog again. Waste my time. I had problem signing in earlier! First it was slow, then i went to main page from blogger to sign in. Eventually i got thru then something happen. I think is some hackers or network problem. It says system error "bX-c153pt", try again! wah lau. Wat the hell is tat. When u wanna do something it always have problem. Damn.

I was blogging abt my overseas work experience this time. Then it just wiped out. Now i have to rewrite everything and recall what i wrote earlier. shit. I feel so tired to write everything all over again. grrrrrrrr.... Can someone save me from these hassles? Anyway, i was back from Jakarta on Friday. Slept throughout the last 2 days.

The overseas working trip was an eye opener for me. Definitely not easy when u have to be bilingual. Then i was in a place where i dun even know the language at all. It was some nice pple that i met that made my life easier. Thanks to Junlin and his team of colleagues. They were really nice pple and make me feel at home.

Besides work related matter, they brought me out for nice food. Shall update more some other time. I believe in 出外靠朋友 theory. Really, it is becos of these pple that made my life a lot easier. If not for them, i think i will be in agony or worse still, screw up the whole trip. Then my reputation and everything will be gone! hahaha..

Next is my cameraman. He really goes an extra mile to do a lot of things for me. I really thank him a lot and it was fun working with him. He helped me with his vast experience and share with me many secrets. It was enjoyable to work with him. Thanks Roni! Thanks to his translation that enabled me to summarise and produce stories from bahasa. hahha.. Phew...

Due to my laziness, i have decided not to continue this blog. Shall do it tomolo. hahhaha... Nonetheless, i appreciate everyone who have helped me along the way during this overseas trip. Terima Kasih! By the way, i am having a one week off, so that i can recuperate and regain all my sleep. ahhahhaha... Cheers pple!

Wed Dinner Host

No time to update cos i was tied up with so many ongoing things. Grrrr... Why! 24 hours is really not enough for me. I had to prepare for my working trip then the usual stuff at work. Honestly, i was pretty worried when i first know that i will be going overseas for work for the first time. I was scheduled to go Jakarta on 5 July, however, due to some last minute change, i arrive many days earlier.

Then all my plans end up in a mess. Forunately, it din affect my plans to host Yvette's wedding. It was quite fun actually. It is also the first time i am doing it for a friend. The dinner was held at Grand Hotel in City Hall. I was there quite early at about 430pm. Had to rehearse with my cohost. We spent some time preparing the script. Ha.. That was also tiring.

Very good experience. I dun hv any stage fright wor. hahahah... So pple, if u want me to host dinner, let me know early. hahha.. I will try to be available. The next wedding that i will host is probably at the end of the year. Zhiwei's wedding! hahaha.. He has already rsvp me quite early. He is a good friend of mine since NTU days. I will do my best. Oh yes, i have also agreed to be Alvin's brother when his wedding come at the end of the year too. lol...

Quite busy hor. Then after my Jakarta work trip, i will be preparing for National Day. Then it will be Taiwan Trip! Yippeee! Cant wait for it to come. I need to relax after this work trip. Totally drained out. Have been rushing around like mad since the first day i touched down. Will update more when i have the time. Cheers!

Sat Home Alone

whahahhahaha... I cant believe it too. I really stayed at home on a Saturday. Did nothing, only sleep, watch tv then went Compasspoint for a while. It's really peace n serene to stay at home. hahaha.. Well, Javier is not ard so that add on to quiet moment. To be honest, i also din know y i stayed home. I wonder if that got to do with older age?

A friend called to see if i wanna go Dbl O. Well, i have no mood for clubbing. hahaha... Tat is something quite amazing. I have always enjoyed nice retro music but for the first time i feel lazy to go all the way to Mohammed Sultan. lol. I heard the rest of the gang was there but i dun feel like going. hahhaha... Really time to move on liao la.

I find that staying at home on a weekend is not too bad too. Ha... For the past few years, Saturdays have been working, shopping, clubbing, drinking etc. Haaa... I have never stayed home on a Saturday eversince i started working. It will be meeting up friends if i m free. I guess i wanted sometime to be alone on a weekend? I have always wanted to try but no chance. Today is really a good opportunity.

Anyway, i had some arguement with tat this evening. Was damn pissed. I told some friends abt it. I din know why we could quarrel over a bag of rubbish. lol. Its crazy and insane. hahha.. Let's see how things will go ba. Take one step at a time...

300km Friend

I promised i will update more regularly. hahha.. Here i am with more update on what happen recently. Remember Great Singapore Sale that i mentioned earlier, well, Andrew arrived from KL early this month to go shopping with me. He bought a lot as usual. He bought presents for his niece, his friends and even his sister. He manage to get his favourite Crocodile Cardigan. hahaha.. As usual!

During that few days, i brought him to many places. We were at Kovan for supper one night when we met Desmond Koh. Hahahaha... The not so popular artise who fell out of Top 20. He was with his friend enjoying Bak Chor Mee too. We ate the same thing too and gosh, delicious. Last Saturday, while on my way home from Dbl O, i bought the same thing for supper too. Yum!

We were also at Tampines One. Over there, we met Andy Lee. hahaha.. Such a small world. Good rite, always get to see celebrity in their down to earth dressing. hahaha.. Shorts, tshirt, caps and very casual. Andrew will start to bitch abt various artises. hahahha... We are quite lucky. In KL, we met world badminton number 2, Lee Chong Wei as well as Jessica Liu. hahhaa.. I think we are star blessed! lol

Oh yes. I got myself a new HP. hahahha... I got rid of Nokia since the value is depreciating. This is the first time i got LG phone. It is touch screen and very convenient to use. I like the phone as it had wifi feature. That also means when i am in airport or some free wifi hotspot zone, i am able to surf net for free! Quite cheap since i traded off the old phone. Nokia was the phone i got after someone stole my Samsung phone in PF.

Javier has been very naughty lately. However, he is adorable at times too. He puked on my bed last night after finishing his milk. Haiz. This notti boy rolled on my bed, and that probably made him feel uncomfortable. In the end, he suddenly merlion and i got a shocked. hahha.. Thankfully, it was only a little and i have to clear up the mess. I changed my bedsheet cos i dun want to have the smell when i sleep at nite. hahaha... Shall update again when i am free!

Half Year Review

Opps! It has been some three weeks since i last blog! hahahha.. Too many things to do la. Quickly blog a bit before my blog become lifeless. I always wanted to blog then when the time came, i would forget and do other stuff. Let me give an update.

Great Singapore Sale
Eversince GSS started, i have been buying and buying. Till date, i have spent more than $400 on clothing. Feel really accomplished after each purchase. I shopped from Orchard to Suntec. Buy buy buy. Most of them are branded cos branded items are really cheap and worth the buy. In fact, i have got new business wear this time. I even got myself a pair of skinny jeans :P

New Shopping Centres
Tampines One
Tampines One was a big hit when it open its doors more than a month ago. Everyone was rushing to the same venue. Typical Singaporeans! Popular jap brand uniqulo retail outlet was packed with pple. Gosh. People have to queue up to get into the shop. The queue only subsided recently. hahaha... Its quite a nice place to shop. Slightly better than Tampines Mall since most of the brands there are international brands.

Orchard@Central
Another new shopping centre located in the heart of orchard road. Pretty gigantic structure. Some shops are already open but some are still under renovation. I guess they are not in time for GSS yet. Nonetheless 313@Somerset and Ion Orchard proves to be powerful new comers too. They will be ready by the end of the year. More shopping to come along Orchard Road.

Illuma Bugis
Another hotspot after Bugis Junction. Located across Bugis Junction, there were several unique brands there. I nearly bought a new brand t shirt over there. However, the price was far too exp. I gave up the idea. There is a new cinema too. I heard its cheaper than other cinema. There is a nice eatery section on the top of the building. Looks tempting to me. Probably can give it a try when the shopping centre is fully functional.

Circle Line
Started operation at end of May. I was thrilled since the time to Bishan is now so much shorter. I guess it also cut down on my travelling time to work as i could alight at Marymount. It saves me 10-15 mins but with a short price of $0.20 more. hahahha... It has brought convenience to many central and north eastern residents. Entirely automated, it works exactly like North East Line except with fewer carriages.

So far for all the latest update for the first half of the year! Gosh half a year liao! I will try to update whenever i remember and free. hahahaha....

Great Moments

I was at Dbl O last wkend, both Friday and Saturday to celebrate the club 9th anniversary. Gosh, 9 years into the business and they are still growing. I remembered they faced a crisis once when the building owner decide not to renew their lease with the club. The residents at Fraser Suites are probably disgusted by the sound and the ugly sight they see every weekend.

Nonetheless, i guess they manage to resolve the problem and the club continues to spin music and laughter for everyone. The first time i turned up at dbl o was in 2003! There was like 6 years ago when i was still in NTU. I was with ed, gavin, wanqi and mulian. It was my first time there but i din hv good impression of the place. It was till Halloween on the subsequent year when i started going almost every week.

From dbl o third birthday till now, wow... tats long enough... hahahha... Anyway, i was invited to the 9th birthday party and it was really fun! There was free flow of beer and house pour! I was almost drunk! Then we hop on a hippo bus and went ard MS, Orchard, River Valley, Clarke Quay! We were drinking, shouting, cheering, whistling and waving! It was really so fun! The nite tour with the drinks were really cool!

People who saw us from the bus were waving at us. Ken said it was like the victory ceremony when the table tennis women team won the silver olympic medals and paraded in orchard road on a hippo bus! This time it was nite, the air was cooler and everyone is in a relax mode. One of my happiest moment at the point of time. I suddenly felt so fun to be in Singapore. hahahha... The 1 hr ride was great n really left a deep impression in me!

On saturday, it was free entry. Most regulars came and we performed the usual ritual. hahhaha.. The mambo dance! However, cos it was free entry, there were a lot of funny pple too. Some wierdo and "dunno from where" came! They hog on the stage and platform. I mean we are fine with them dancing there but some were just standing n not moving. I think they are probably looking for prey for a nite of rendevous. hahahha... Bitch la...

Anyway, it is almost a week and i only get to update today. Hope it is still not too late. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY DBL O !!"

True Love

Do you know wat is the meaning of true love? True love is not abt meeting every other day or keep buying things for the other party or even dear this dear that. I think true love is to be forgiving, inclusive and forward looking. A recent friend of mine got married and i was really touched by his marriage. I called it an extraordinary Marriage.

We were long time friends and it was obvious he was a gay. He did reveal abt his sexual preference those days and talked abt how much craving he had for guys. He admitted he tried to control but i guess lust have put everything aside. He has been an aj for as long as 5 years. He even confessed to his parents abt his sexual orientation. They were totally devastated. Coming from a parent, i guess no parents will find it easy to accept such behaviour.

Till one day when i met him, I realised he has a gf. I was in disbelief. I mean someone who is so Aj in his life had turned straight. It is definitely not easy. However, i am still happy. After all it takes great courage and perserverance to change. There could be 3 reasons, one religion, two family pressure, three the woman. I mean it is not easy for a woman to accept her bf who used to be a gay. Woman, would you be able to accept tat?

Woman always talk abt security and the need for love n to meet as often to show the importance of love. There is nothing wrong abt that, but are you 伟大 and willing to accept guys of this nature. I would say 98% will shun away. Who would want tat to happen to themselves? However, my friend's gf, no in fact wife din. She accepted who he is and even stood by his side all this while. To a guy, if a ger who is so good and willing to accept who you are, there is no doubt that the person is really true to you. I believe he must be touched by his wife and eventually got together.

When i saw their wedding photo, i feel serene for a moment. He finally chose the mainstream. His parents must be very happy. He is also happy to have chosen a wonderful bride. My heartfelt congrats to the couple. I have never feel so much for a married couple. I have been thinking lately a lot abt them. 你们的决定，让我对爱有了重新的定义。恭喜两位！

Finally Blog

Opps! Its been sometime since i last blog. I think my blog is dying le la... No time and lazy to update. I should try to keep it alive more often. I guess my readers have gone! hahaha.. No updates! lol. There has been a lot of things going on. I wanted to blog but when the time comes, i get lazy and decide to do it the next day. Then the vicious cycle begins. hahhaa.. Day after day.

I have decided to blog today cos of an incident ytd. Did something new in my course of work. I would say its pretty satisfying. There were a mixture of good and bad comments. I take it with strides. It was a pretty big challenge for me. I first learned abt the job in April. When the day came, i was excited but felt the stress too.

Thankfully everything went on smoothly. I ended work quite late, almost collapsed when i reached home. Headed to bed after chatting with some friends. Fall asleep in less than 5 minutes. I was really tired. Nonetheless, it was a nice experience to Parliament House. I have never been there in my life. hahahha... Its quite a fun experience to walk inside. There's a beautiful garden behind the building which overlooks Singapore River. Cool Lor.

More work to come. Went Bugis to have Mala Steamboat earlier. It has been sometime since i last had steamboat. Really ate a lot. My friend and i ordered the spiciest soup. Haa... We are spicy food lovers. Super hot will be the only choice. hahhha... If i were to eat with Ken or Jun or others, i guess they cant take it. lol.... So i know who to eat with next time if i wanna eat Mala Steamboat. hahhahahhah.... Yum!

Birth of Second Mandarin Channel

Singapore second mandarin channel, Channel U was born on 6 May 2001 under the arm of the now dyfunction Mediaworks. The day when we first have a taste of 2 different channels under 2 different giant company. Sad to say, it ceased operation on Dec 2004 and we longer enjoy programs from 2 different companies.

Before the launch of the channel, the team really did lots a great job by having all kind of publicity in town. I still remember those balloons, notepads and even models pushing carts ard orchard road to "inform" everyone, hey a new channel is born. On the day when the channel was launch, i was at NUS UCC to watch the 启播大典！I still remember Alan Tam was invited!

It was the same day when Channel U had its first TV bulletin which really challenge the all time favourite channel 8's 10点新闻. For a start, news bulletin was 7pm and 930pm. However, not many pple choose to watch because of Singaporeans' habit. The programming dept from Channel U decided to have a head on challenge with Channel 8's 630pm and 10pm bulletin. Wow! This was when the real challenge came.

Sad to say, the competition is gone. It has become "those were the days". I met some SPH pple and they had fond memories of those days. I am thinking if Mediaworks Channel U is still around, she would be celebrating 8 year old birthday. Ha! Well, memories are gone but i still miss those exciting days when we get to see 2 different teams producing quality programs!

24 Hours Not Enough

Joey Yung is really hot! I was at her concert last nite and gosh, totally impressed by her songs and her dance moves. Her clothes are eye catching and best of all, she wears very revealing singlets. hahha.. Her body is hot la.. I am like WOW. Din know she had such a nice body. I bet many females will feel ashame lor. hhhaha....

Her concert was held at the expo. I got complimentary tickets for the concert. Nice and close views. Third row from the front. hahah.. Nice right. I could literally see her very well. I like the pop and dance music. I was very high cos they played cantonese technos! I miss techno music lor. I nearly jumped up and dance with her...

Leon attended the concert with me. When the show ended, we headed back to MS to our usual hangout Dbl O. Its his birthday and i promised to turn up. Surprisingly, most of the Dbl O gang went missing. haiz. I wonder wat happened. Only few of us came, Kaz, larry and 2 other friends. Everyone was not there. Its kinda disappointing cos last year it was really a huge turnout. The gang is losing its grip on Dbl O. I think time has finally come!

I ate alone at the Bak Gu Teh store for supper. First time in 4 years that i actually ate alone. I cant believe it. During the glamourous time, one table was not enough. We need to combine 2 big tables. Those were the days. By the time i reached home, it was almost 3am plus. Slept immediately cos i was very very tired.

This morning, i woke up at abt 9am. Had a quick shower then rush to work. Gosh! It was very warm lor. I heard our temperature reached 35 degree celsius yesterday. This morning the weather is equally hot! I went to a market for an assignment. Burning wor! Thankfully, the stallholders got some chestnut drinks to cool us down. If not, i think everyone will fall sick.

After work, i met Ken. He did not turned up last nite. So i met him late afternoon for catchup. It has been hectic the last few days. I think the next 2 days too. Rushing here and there! I think 24hrs is really insufficient for me! hahahhaa... How how how....

Kingdom Chaos

The kingdom is in chaos these few days. Protestors stormed into ASEAN summit, trying to stop Prime Minister Abihsit from representing Thailand. They felt he was an illegitimate Prime Minister who came into power after the Pro Democratic Party supporters blocked the airport. Then the protest worsen and expanded to nearby provinces including Bangkok.

It was in total chao on Monday when protestors turned violent. They snatched buses and rammed into trees, vandalise public property. BKK almost came to a standstill! Army were deployed to keep the protest under control. Clashes erupted and left more than 77 injured. The country's political turmoil started when Taksin was ousted from power. The Kingdom is no longer peaceful. I was nearly there last week but finally changed my mind. Its a pity that this year Songkran turned violent.

Quite hectic for me the last few days. I met many artises yesterday. Kelly Poon, Robert Fan, Nathan Lee and Meixin. Gosh, they were handsome n pretty. Robert Fan left a deep impression in me. I mean he is so open to talk about his former relationship with Jessica Liu. He even shook my hand with both hands to thank me for the job. I was impressed. The rest are normal, Kelly seems more "38" as she rattles abt her debut in movies.

Nathan Lee is a Korean. He speaks good English, i guess he was raised in USA. He is cute but lack of the experience. As for Meixin, wow, pretty and petite. hahaha... It was a good experience to work with them. I have never spoken to stars before. I would think its a first time experience. More to come? lol.. I dunno but i doubt i am good in entertainment business. hahahha...

阿桑走了

以叶子一首歌走红的阿桑，就这样走了。真的令人惋惜。叶子变成了翅膀，把阿桑带到另外一个地方。每当我听到叶子，就有一种莫明的感动，她走了，更为这首歌加入悲伤。台湾损失了一名杰出的歌手，也失去了一把动人的嗓音。疗伤歌后抵不了癌症的病魔，就这样告别了短暂的人生。阿桑你安息吧。。。。

I was in grieved when i first learnt abt the death of Taiwanese Singer Ah Sang. I was speechless for a while when i read the online articles. Shocked! As i recomposed myself, i found more articles and started looking at her MTVs. Oh man, it was hard. I can feel tears in my eyes. She is only 34, only 4 years older than me. It was breast cancer that took her life away. Really sad.

Many artises are also in grieve. Her senior Zhang Zhicheng broke down when the news broke to him. Many could not accept the fact that she just left quietly. I will always remember her voice. Someone who really sings and touch the life of others. RIP Ah Sang....

Grumble Grumble

Time flies. The first quarter of the year is over. Gosh. It was like we just ushered into the new year. Things have been moving quickly but there seems to be no sign of recovery from the economic recession woes yet. According to the latest figures, our economy should be contracting for another quarter. More pple are being retrenched.

Haven been sleeping well the last few days. Thanks to the stupid aircon. I think it needs an overhaul as it is not as quiet as before. I was awakened a few times on the middle of the nite due to the sound coming from the engine. Gosh. I was quite irritated till i turned the aircon off. hahha.. Then i continued my sleep till morning. Damn.

Accidentally cut myself while i did my routine shaving. Wau lau. It was damn painful at tat moment. I was like, oh shit dun tell me i cut myself. At that point of time, there was a sudden acute pain. True enough, blood began oozing out. I am like WTH. Pain plus looks ugly. hahahha... No choice i guess. I think many who see my face will realise i must have cut myself accidentally.

I met Taiwan's Taoyuan County Mayor this afternoon and i really feel embarrassed. He must have seen my wound too! Argh! So embarrassed! We chat a while and he is a nice man. I was given a tourist attaction book that recommend some of the must go place in Taoyuan County. I am so tempted to go for a trip. Shit. Really. I have 4 days off.. How? hahhahaa

I was out with Alvin to help him choose the shoes he wanted to get for his wedding. After which, i head gym for my regular workout. A well spent day. Well, I got a new pair of shoes as well. hahah.. It has been in my mind long ago as my previous pair is like, oh no! Quite a good deal since i was given the latest copy of Man Folio. hahaha...

While i was on my way home, i tuned in to 1003. Wow! It really captured my attention from Suntec City till Home. And i am still listening to it now. Why? Well, there is a program by Kong Huai who is a counsellor talking abt marriage. Wow. Really nice.... He brought in a case study to talk about how to maintain marriage.

The case revolve a couple who got married after 4 years of dating. They met in university and it was like any other couple. Dating then naturally end up marrying. Things started to change after marriage. The hubby was once a 乖仔, never drink, never club, never smoke. However, after marriage, the husband was posted overseas and he picked up lots of bad habits.

That is not the end. A once loyal bf turns his back against his wife. He once believes in loyalty. Then it changed when he is out of the country for work. He said, the first time he controlled, then as time progresses he gave in. He had an affair behind his wife. Should we say this is common? What shocked me is, how could a once 乖仔 turned 坏仔？Or it was just all in him that he din unleashed till he stepped to the outside world? Or was it pretendious? I have said many times, if u r an idiot, say u r, dun pretend to be one. In his case, maybe he is not but more of being unleashing his innerself.

Well, his life probably revolves his gf and family in the past. Nothing much. Typical lor. When he went out of the country, it is like complete freedom! Finally he confessed to his wife abt his affairs. His poor wife has already suspected it. When he finally confess, she still find it hard to accept and cried for 3 days. She discussed with her friends and think thru the whole marriage. Would she want to terminate her marriage now? Deep inside, she said no. She loves her husband and decided to give him a chance. But 原谅不代表信任。How did they overcome this?

They went for a 14 wk counselling session. It really works. The husband was saying, life after marriage is not as romantic or the way you wanted. He believes in a strong foundation plus pre marriage counselling course. If the couple is not ready or get married for the sake of one, better not. Cos it will lead to harm. After the counselling session, the couple relation worked. They are now happily together and put the past behind them.

I feel happy for them. The only thing that disgust me is being pretendious or unleashing innerself? lol. I do agree that a pre marriage counselling session is important. I will probably do it too. Oh yes, i am impressed by the show lor. 1003 rocks! They are not only daring but produce quality shows. I tot they just blar rubbish sometimes. hahahhaha...

Southern Ridge Tour

Finally had sometime to blog about the Southern Ridge Tour. Quite an exciting trip. hahha.. Cos reminded me of the Vancouver Canopy Walk except warmer weather. I was telling jun if our weather could be lowered to 20 degree celsius. I would love my country even better. hahhaa.. No mist came out from our mouth but sweat and more sweat.

We started off with the Marang Trail just next to Harbourfront station, then all the way up to Mt Faber. Not bad wor. Jewel Box had undergone renovation. Then the brisk walk and the beautiful Henderson Wave. We chilled a while over there. The pple who live near to the wave are so fortunate! hahaha.. There was a couple taking their wedding photo there. Gosh, i wouldnt want to do tat. So hot and omg!

The hort park was really overhype! But it din interest me at the first place at all. hahha.. I passed by once when i was on an assignment. I think the place suits young kids. It will be good to bring students there to explore the importance of our flora and fauna. Not really suitable for adults unless you are a big fan of gardening. I really perspire a lot tat day. In the end, body that was exposed to sun got burnt. Came home to apply moisturizer. Thankfully, it recovered and no peeling.

We also went to Queenways after our adventure. Gosh. The place have changed. Most employees were Malay, Indian or Ah Beng in the past, know wat, it is now infested with Mainlanders!!! I really got a shocked! Even PRC teenagers are working there. I am wondering if they got the relevant permit to work. After all, they look young and it seems that they are here to study, not to work. I am sure the authorities will find out one day.

Its Ken bday today! There will be a celebration for him later. I will be rushing down to Dbl O to meet for this mad celebration. hahha.. I guess it should be fun cos .... cant reveal too much. Happy Bday my dear friend!!!

Its the Truth Gathering

Thanks to the BWW group! We finally had another session due to my bday. hahaha.. It was an informal one yet everyone turned up! Kin Jun named it as "Its the Truth Gathering!" Well, it was the usual gossiping, bitching and laughing session. We had quite a good time at Billy Bombers. The food was good. I love it! Thanks guys!

The 3 hour session encompass a wide range of topics, from work to relation to married life. hahaha.. Dinah share her life after marriage. hahhaa.. Interesting! The other 2 are still in search of their soul mates. Well, i guess dun rush to it. I always believe when fate is here, one will get attached very quickly. To a certain extend, one may even get married faster than anyone else.

The next meeting will be at Qiang place. Hopefully, the party will materialise. It will be the first bbq session we ever had since Qiang shifted to his new apartment abt 10 years ago?! hahha.. Let see how things go. Well, i am very happy to keep in touch with this group of friends. Really, more than 10 years of friendship and we are still so close. Lets hope for more 10 years to come!

SIN-KUL

This has been a very common route for me recently as its the cheapest and easiest way for me to chill out of SG. With the opening up of budget air, a flight to KL cost as low as $28. Imagine an air ticket that cost as much as a good meal in a restaurant or maybe even cheaper. Quite a good deal. hahhaa... Secondly, i have a good friend who is willing to put me up or meet me, so i treat it as a good getaway from SG.

I have considered many trips during my 4 day break. That includes HK, TPE, Bali and BKK. None of them offer cheap tickets lor. Shit. If there is one that offers good tix, i will just buy and fly there to chill. Treat it as a bday pressie for myself. hahhaa... Another fulfilling trip as i chill in a not bad hotel this time. I got a good deal. ahhahaha...

On my way back to SG this evening, damn i miss the KLIA Transit by 1 min. Damn. The next train? in 30 mins!! Prior to tat, i was shopping at Mid Valley. I need to take KTM to before i take the KLIA Transit. The wait for KTM is also long. hahhaa... I guess i waited for a 20 min or something. Total Waiting Time : 50mins!

If the train system frequency could improved, i guess KL is an easy place to navigate and move ard. lol. Nonetheless, i shopped more at Mid Valley this time. Quite a huge shopping centre. I remembered i went there once with Ed and gang few years ago. However, i have no memories of the place except a huge mall.

This time, i had a good look. I even went to the neighbouring shopping centre The Secret. ahhaha... Its a more up market mall with many branded stores. I bought a couple of tank tops. hahah.. Oh yes, i got myself a new pair of goggles too. lol! I need to change a new pair as the old one is almost gone. Quite a good trip afterall. Not forgetting some nice food too. hahha

I realise KFC in Malaysia really taste better than SG. I heard from a friend ours are frozen chicken, while our neighbour uses fresh chicken. Of cos the teast is different! So i told myself to eat KFC before i got home. :P yep! I ate! lol... I had dinner at KLIA before i boarded the plane. hahaha... One more day before work starts again. Back to reality! hahhaha
