Ooh.... ah..... Yes.... SMU, our third university who has a city campus. Been there for a little stroll with jun and i was so IMPRESSED with the school. I guess the pioneer batch using the school are super fortunate. Well constructed linkway that linked the different schools in SMU. There were shops, classes, labs even 7-11 all housed under one roof.
Know wat, the public cannot gain access into the building unless u have a valid student pass. To gain entry into the academic building, u need to scan ur pass before u are authorise to go thru. From the map, i see many facilities within the school. Imagine swimming or working out in the city!!! OMG! Only if u become a PF or FF member, then u will heve the privilege to do so.
Not only that, the place is so accessible to all corners of the island. If u are tired, u can visit any shopping centres nearby. If you r a party animal, MS, Central Mall, Clarke Quay are stone throw away. If you enjoy singing, K box is next to the school. In terms of hardware, SMU is the best! I have no qualms abt that.
As for software, i am not too sure. I understand tat students attend seminar type of classes. SMU does not conduct lectures or tutorials. This is something quite different although NBS do conduct seminar type of classes too. Well, Boon Lay poly aka NTU is very far from the city. It is in a world of its own.
Fortunately, NTU knows how to leverage on its hostel and decided to turn it into a city of its own. Well, we may hear Boon Lay City in the future and tat may refer to NTU. whahaha.... How long will it takes? I think it should be at least 5 years. I remembered there would be a LRT that will link the campus to the nearest MRT station. Cool! For now, SMU is indeed attractive!
