Army Life

Its midweek! And I will be having a 2 days off from today. This is so cool! ha... I think its time for a little break from work. Tired from all those running and thinking. When i reached home every night, my mind is completely blank. I will sit in front of the tv and watch TVB serial.

After which, I would have a can of coke (if there is), turned on the computer, blast some nice music and chill out. ha... Like now, i am tuning to some mambo songs. Cos it mambo nite at zouk! whahaha! Since i am not there, these songs can soothe my ears for a while.

Anyway, i was browsing thru other bloggers entry when i read abt a guy who writes abt his army life. Well, i have never talked abt my army life before. Since it's been like 7 years since i was enlisted, i dun feel like talking abt it. whahaha.... 7 years? Yep, that is long. But i ORD last year. Long story!

Actually, army life was a miracle to me. I am not like many who stayed in camps, donned on uniform, worked with regulars. When pple asked me abt my vocation, i din know how to tell them. I found out that my vocation was known as artise. hahaha... BUT i am not an artise, neither am i from MDC. So, its funny lor.

Strangers must be wondering wat the hell is this guy in. I wont reveal. I will only say i am fortunate enough to get into such an organisation. If luck like this continue, i should be able to find my greener pasture soon. haiz.... Ok, back to the story, i find that many pple are so keen to move to OCS. OMG! It has never cross my mind in my whole damn life. Not even a 3SG. hahaha....

think I did pretty well for the first 6 weeks for my sergeant to say that I most probably will be going OCS. Of course, reality struck and I didn't go OCS. Not only that I didn't go OCS, I found out that the 6 weeks thing was a lousy scam.

Pls lar, i cant understand why pple are so insistent abt being an officer. Well, if you are a regular, i can understand. If not, for the prestige? I am not too sure. I have female cousins who said, even an officer cant handle real situation when they are out of army. I am like... dun know how to reply. hahaha...

I guess army is the time when boys become mature, though i know it doesnt apply to some. It trains you physically and mentally. Army put all races together and wants everyone to work in a team to build the commandarie spirit. Enough said, i am going to bed soon...
