First Time Rally

Yes, i attended the first rally in my life at this very age. Cant believe it. At the last GE in 2001, i could not attend cos it was examination period. Too busy with my studies. Prior to that, it was 1997, where i am in my teens. Well, most teenagers are not keen or dunno anything abt politics except how to have fun. whahaha...

Alright, the Rally turnout at the opposition camp was fabulous. But sad to say, it does not reflect the mind of most voters on polling day. Disappointment! Maybe it's true that Singaporeans enjoy "wayang"! whahaha... Sensitive ya! I guess most pple there must be from other constituencies who enjoy a walkover in this election.

I see many supporters, with banners, flags and cheers. It's like a big party. Jun was there with me. I tot it was like a mini concert. Except the pple on stage are not artises. I am surprised that residents were seen standing along their corridor to catch the rally. Big party! ha... But not as good as Dbl O. whahaha...

PAP has been doing a good job. They are a credible party. I am just disappointed by their election campaign. I am sure they can do better than this. Issues were swayed as the debate on integrity in the system moves on. Macro or even local issues were not as widely debated.

Health care? Employment? How to improve the quality of Singaporeans' life? Besides upgrading, any other issues? The issue on terrorism? I din hear any substantial issues on the security of Singapore. Education? Are our kids going to go thru the same system n mould again? Any new changes?

As for the main stream media, haiz. I shall not continue. Viewers are disgruntled. I agree. There should be more neutral reports but it seems otherwise. I read from other bloggers that we should boycott local media. Really pathetic. haiz... Maybe it is true that we should turn to the internet to find out more. More information and better informed.

Anyway, it is up to the voters to decide. We shall see. Wkend wkend wkend. I hope i would be able to meet ken and gang up for another session at Dbl O. Enough of election.
