Hey hey... I had great fun tonight. Thanks to dearie for arranging such an enjoyable date. Well, its my bday celebration. Yup. Not young anymore. whahaha.. We went to Dian Xiao Er for some delicious dishes. I like the Roast Duck very much. Really good! The soup of the day was cool too. I had 2.5 bowls of rice. Wahhahah... I love to eat.... I suddenly remembered the time dearie and me eating in this restaurant at BKK. whahhaa... Bloated.
I love the pressie she gave. whoo hoo... I am going to bring to work tomolo. Ai xin bao bao! I am so fortunate! We chilled out near the sea. eh eh... Its nice lor. I love tat moment. Just me and her. The downside, the oily cooking smell from the air duct. I cant stand that oily smell. Makes me feel and smell oily.
After we left, i met Xinhui. ha.. So coincident. She attended a company event and was on the way to celebrate jennifer bday. Ha... So, I am younger than Jennifer by a day. But still older in terms of year. :P They are counting down her bday at cineleisure. It was nice of them. Anyway, Ken called me up as he was also leaving from an event.
He requested me to wait for him as he rushed to the train station. I suspect he drank a lot cos i could smell liquor from him. However, he was still sober to take the train. He also commented that the picture i took with dearie was nice. Hee hee... Of course mah.. who take? hahahaha... Time flies... I am inching 30 very very soon. I wish i was only 21... hahahahaha....

Parkway Parade PF
I got a compensated off day in view of CNY. I wanted to take a rest at home initially. However, since i got nothing better to do, i might as well hit the gym. whahaha... I went to Parkway Parade branch. Now tat i have gone thru all PF outlets, i shall rank them according to my preference.

whahahah... I love Vivocity the best. Nice scenery, cosy, bright and more importantly, less intimidating pple. The one at Parkway Parade resemble Great World City. No windows, nothing. I dun like the setting. The crowd is somehow younger. There are also more bodybuilders. That means they tend to hog on to the machines and free weights too. whahaha....
Met Larry at foodcourt. Not the Larry who party with me at Dbl O. This is senior Larry. hahah... He is dating. Congrats bro! It was nice of him to give me a hug. ha... We have not seen each other since the last time he got drunk at Devils bar. Still the same old larry. He tot i would have joined his company. Well, i hope so too. No luck, no reply and that means i got rejected. haiz...
The journey to Parkway Parade brought me back to the days when i was in MJR. I used to hang out at parkway pretty often since it is near to my school. Moreover, it is near to Ying's House at Cassia Crescent. Surprisingly, some route have been diverted due to the construction of Circle Line. I enjoy the beautiful scenery as i recall the days of MJR.
On another note, i manage to get songs of Cascada. Whoo... More pple are leaving msg on MU Friendster. ooh... Everyone is sad to learn that MU is closing. I pity members who have signed up with them. I wonder if they would be able to retrieve their drinks. ha.... I guess the next time if we want to party to techno and eurotrance songs, there would be no other venue that could offer such songs. Principal PP is going to lose his job too. haiz... Counting Down to MU last day.
Anyway, dearie msn me abt our trip to Bali. Whoo... Hopefully it will materialise in May. Yup yup. hahahah... A short and sweet getaway for us. It's been a while since we went on a trip together. Its time for some chill out lar... I love travelling, as long as it is out of Singapore. whahahaha....

Bday Night
Whoo hoo... I survived last night!!! Dearie tot i would have been a gone case. ha... I did not. AND i manage to keep to my promise. Many pple attempted to hijack me n drunk me. Thankfully, i have inherited good genes. If not, i would have been dead drunk. Someone got drunk instead of me. Pple were surprised why the bday boy is still so awake!!! hahahahah....
Ken and Larry was drunk! I wanted to upload their pix but no. Ha... cos I want my blog to remain photoless. They collapsed almost at the end of the night. Ken kept asking me why i am not drunk. Of course! Let me recall what i drank last night. It was like continous flow of alcohol. These pple are trying very hard!!! ha....
I had at least 6-8 shots? Then 5 glasses of housepour and a jug of vodka orange! Frightening! Eric and Peiling were there. Initially there were less alcohol, it was till ken and larry spread my bday message ard! GOSH! I remembered the DJ even mentioned my name! Ha... Thanx lor. Everyone was in a good mood. I guess its lunar new year. I took many photos too. It was like a premier gala!
Eric bought me this special drink that was really good. Hmm... I wonder wat was that. It was some kind of alcohol with fire in my mouth. eh... It was a nice drink. He lighted the alcohol while it was in my mouth. It felt warm but damn cool! I admit i was high. Definitely not drunk. Cos nobody needs to carry me. whahahahah...
Special thanks to many pple last night. Ken, Larry, Kaz, David, Bowen, Jaden, Rasheed, Ziyi, Xinhui, Garfield, Cyndi, Eric, Peiling, Jeffrey, Larry's friend and etc. The night has been special becos of them. I appreciate their wishes. It was indeed a memorable night! Thanks everyone! I felt it was like some Star Award thank list. hahahah....
I am turning 25 again! Anyway, it will working day for me again! Fortunately, i am off tomolo. Well, i have still got 2 assignments on hand. Hope to get it done asap. Huat ah...

Tribute to Music Underground
OMG! MU is closing down on 3 March after being in the clubbing business for so long. I was pretty upset when i heard news of MU closing down. It was once part of my clubbing venue. Or should i say the place where i started my clubbing career? I am going to miss MU. Really. I have many many fond memories of MU.
This is wat someone wrote on the web abt MU.
I have decided to play Cascada song "One more Night" in memory of MU! If ever anyone is a fan of techno or Eurotrance, they will know who Cascada is. I remembered MU played lots of songs from Cascada. Becos of MU, i know Cascada, Deep Spirit and DJ Lhasa etc. My love for techno and retro blossom cos of MU. To know that MU is closing down, i have mixed feelings.
MU has been a very impt place to me in the past. I debuted in the clubbing scene with MU. It started in the year 1999. OMG! Yep, that time i was in NS and one fine day Ken and i came across this club located at the basement next to Shaw House. Eversince we stepped in, we clubbed at MU almost every weekend in 1999 till 2000.
I remembered we used to go for midnight movies. Before that, it will be clubbing at MU. When time is up, we will catch our movies at Lido. At abt 3am, we returned to MU to club away the techno nite. Those days, it was fun. When i left for NTU, i stopped clubbing. The old MU at Shaw house also closed down and relocate to Phoenix Hotel.
In April 2004, the new MU reopened at Phoenix Hotel. After i left NTU, i resume clubbing. The first place i headed to was neither Dbl O nor Zouk, it was MU. I started working so did Ken. We always meet on every Friday or Saturday night to party our night in MU. Really, despite our tight schedule at work, we make an effort to visit MU. Those days.
It was till 2005 when we changed our clubbing venue for good at Dbl O. Like Dbl O, we also met many regulars. I will always remember Uncle Michael, Adidas Shifu, Elvis Presley, Fat girl and Naughty Boy. Although we are not close to them, their moves and groove inspired me a lot. They are fantastic dancer. They never fail to impress me with their slick moves. Its because of MU that i understand why pple club. More importantly, i discover my passion for dancing. Really!
I have so much to say abt MU. The place where i picked up dancing, the place that saw me thru my late teen years, the place where i learn world is not abt you and me. If time permit, i am going to make another trip to MU before it closes shop for the day! Gan Chu Liang Shen. I hope you will reopen somewhere in the near future! Bless you.....

CNY Mambo
Yep. This is the first ever mambo i went on chinese new year. I told the mambo family, i will make a special appearance if necessary. And i did! ha... When i reached, some were surprised! I exchange new year greetings with them. ha... Anyway, i seldom patronise zouk cos i dun really like the settings. The interior design isnt as glam as dbl o.
Well, since last week, Ken and Gavin have been inviting me to join them. To celebrate this special occasion, i decide to join them. I met a few friends too. Yongzhi came to me and say hello to me! ha... I realised he was a fan of mambo too. As for the regulars there, i only know some of them but not all. The good thing abt zouk is tat, they play festive song on festive occasion. Ha... They played and remixed my favourite CNY song! whoo... I was so high!
I was wondering if the staff made a mistake. With 2 coupons, one can exchange a bottle of E33. Yesterday, they gave me 2 bottles instead. whahaha... It was well worth it. Cos clubs usually sell bottled drinks between a price of $12 to $14. Good lar. Ken manage to get his favourite red wine. He is going to join the red wine gang very soon.
In 7 days time, i will be older by one year. Boo... ha... Tats fast. I wanted to apply leave but boss wont allow. Cos debate in parliament take place somewhere next week. My big day has always been this case. When i was younger, it is always exam period. When i grow older, it usually coincide with budget debate. ARgh.... Its ok lar. I shall have a tone down celebration ie sleep!
Kaz and larry have already RSVP me this weekend to our usual hangout. Oops! They found out my special day liao. whahahah... I suspect they have a lot of ideas to deal with me. ha... NOT EASY!!! whahaha... I will practice Sunzi War of Tactic if necessary. hahaha... Run away! I will never allow myself to be at their mercy. whahahaha... Try me?!

James Saved the Day
This is my 5ooth post! whahahah... Congrats to this blog of mine! It has been an extremely long day for me. Started the day with Hao and Ying visit to my house. Woke up pretty early to receive my special guests. Friends of more than a decade. They came at ard 11am. Had lunch and gossip a while before we move on to other places.
Visited Ying's parents. I used to go to his house quite often when he first shifted to SK. Then it was time to Hao. Actually, Hao and Ying's mum were asking why have i not visited them for so long. :P ha.. I guess my time has been fully utlised all the time. Ha.. Over hao's place, i saw his long distance gf for the first time over webcam. Pretty girl. However, it is not easy to maintain this kind of relationship. Moreover, eccentric behaviour is triggered again.
Finally, it is time to meet the Thai King! So excited. He gave everyone a surprise by bringing his Thai gf. Ha... Friendly girl who speaks fluent english and some chinese. Ed finally got a good catch. Congrats bro! He was telling his gf we used to cohabit in the same place for 2 years. ha... We missed those late nights, supper, gossip and movies. Then we headed to KTV. I left early cos of work.
There were too many surprises for me to digest. To be honest, i was confused and lost for a moment. When i reached home, i received an email from JAMES! YEs! I am so happy lor! His email made my day. I was like awaken from a state of confusion. He is in Melbourne and in his mail he mentioned many stuff. oh... He thanked me for all the wonderful time we spent during those days. He particularly sign off with 5am english editor. ooh.... I am so touched!
Bro, if you happen to stumble upon my blog. Let me tell u. I missed those days at SR, particularly pple like you, melvin, camie and CK. Really. They were one of my happiest moment in life. Though we wake up in an unearthly hour at 4am, we managed to scrap thru together. I still remembered u bought me muffins and early morning coffees. Your views in life has certainly changed mine. I MISSED EVERYONE at SR. Lets meet up for a drink one day when u are back! Take care Bro!

Warmly Session
Came back from supper after a mini gathering with some of my sec and poly friends. Wow... It has been sometime since we get together for a nice, warmly session. As usual, we bitch abt life, our future and stuff. One of them is doing so well with up to 5 digits when he received his bonus. I was so impressed. Haiz.. I am not even half way there. Sometimes, i wonder how long will i take to reach that stage.
Back to work, its the second day of CNY. Went to work in festive mood. Red shoes, pink tshirt plus gold chain. whahaha.. Hope to start the new year with a big bang! Work was not too bad. It was quite relax cos there wasnt much assignment during festive season. It was pretty fun this year. To be honest, this is the first time i feel so happy and relax at work.
We had a mini reunion dinner too. One colleague felt it was kinda warmth to have so many colleagues sitting together for a meal. I agree too. Everyone is so busy during normal days. It is like once in a while when everyone sits together and laugh it out. We even had Lao Yu Shang! It was really enjoyable. It has never crossed my mind that we are so close and sweet. Ha...
Oh by the way, my cousins came in the morning. He brought his 8 month old son to my house. He is such a cutie. I seldom see kids who arent afraid of strangers. Most kids tend to cry when they find themselves in an unfamiliar environment. He is not lor. Keep smiling and jumping ard. Now, this is the kid that i like.

Piggy Day 1
The first day of Lunar New Year is over. I spent lots of time sleeping and dreaming. hahaha... I guess i have been too tired from the last few days. Clubbing, working, meeting up friends. The off day today was good. I manage to recover some of my rest time. Still feeling a bit sleepy. I intend to sleep early. Haiz.. Its a working day tomolo.
As predicted, many relatives and friends came. At one time, i tot my house was open for public viewing. There were like 20-30 pple. Kids running ard, crying and shouting, aunties talking loudly like no other business, tv blasting at the top of the volume. ha.... Actually, i am fine with all that. Anyway, its once in a year. I guess i am too tired and continue my beauty sleep despite of the noise.
My mum cooked lots of food. Yummy. I was like forever hungry. Kept stuffing food into my mouth. ha.. Ate lots of chicken wings and fishballs. Oh yes, Jordan came too. He joined in the fun with all the kids in the house. It is like a mini party to them, the same kind i had at Dbl O. whahahah...
There are still a lot of activities coming up. Will be meeting the Thai King since i fail to meet him the last time when he was back in Singapore. Then, to visit my godma again. Hao and Ying maybe coming to visit me too. Ken was asking if i would like to go mambo with him on wed. Really bo eng. hahhahah... Hopefully, it can be carried out smoothly!

Year of Pig
Oh my god. The stupid blog just erased what i have written previously. Anyway, its finally Chinese New Year. Ha... Huat ah! Gong Hei Fatt Choy! I love CNY cos there are always great food and drinks. Many relatives and friends will be coming. I presume there will be a huge influx of pple in my house in the morning and afternoon.
Just got back home from the usual clubbing session. Yes, it was a nostalgic night for me and ken. We spent our CNY eve at Dbl O last year. This year, it is a continuation and we had great fun. Last year, there were only 4 of us, Ken, me, Jaden and Rasheed. This year, things are different. More pple joined us. Kaz, Larry, Mingren, David, Terrence and fling plus Jason and Xinhui gang. It was an enjoyable nite with pple like them.
Of course, the tradition is not complete without a visit to a nearby temple. Ken and me went to Feng Shan Si. The same place that we went last year. I even went to Buddhist Lodge with him tat time. This year, i came straight from work. There isnt much time so we just went to Feng Shan Si instead. 365 days ago, we did the same things. This time, we do it again. Its a tradition for us.
Then we had plenty of drinks. I realised my threshold for alcohol is really high. I wasnt too drunk. I think i took 5 shots and i am still awake and perfectly fine. Gavin was rite. If your mood is good, no matter how much u drink, u feel good. We partied to the music. It has been a stressful week. I was in tremendous pressure lor. It was good to sweat it out the night.
This has been the second night of clubbing. Last night, i went to MOS for a farewell party to my colleague. Ohh.... She was so touched when my other colleagues made a montage of her at work. I guess most of us will miss her. We drank, gossiped and talk abt the good times we had. Many pple came. Eunice Olsen and Bernard Lim were there too. Impressive!
We took many photos. I realised my colleagues are very fun pple. They behave very differently at work. When come to party, everyone let their hair down. I was actually surprised by a few pple. They are not like tat when they are working. So pro lor. hahha... My respect for them have increased tremendously. Work and leisure, so different! hahahaha....
I shall go to bed soon. Wat a lovely day to begin! Happy New Year and a Prosperous Year ahead! Huat Ah.....

Budget 2007
The BIG day is over! I am so relieved. The day started with the usual stuff. Then the budget announcement from Tharman, our second finance minister. I wonder if he would take over PM Lee to be the next finance minister. After all, he came from MAS previously. I think he has strong financial background.
I cracked my brain while he made the various policies announcement on parliament. The budget this year is to help singaporeans tie over the increase in GST. We were right, GST will go up in July. However, the increase in CPF contribution is only 1.5%, which is 0.5% lower than i expected. Business cost will go up but there are lots of measures to help various companies esp SMEs. One is the reduction of corporate tax. I remembered when i studied taxation in SP, the corporate tax was 26%. Over a period of 10 years, it fell to 18%! That is impressive! hahahah...
I was rushing like mad to digest all the information abt various taxes ie Direct and Indirect tax. Whoo... I guess my accountancy background does really help. If not, there will be lots of terms that i guess i wont be able to comprehend. Thankfully some colleagues also chip in for help. To complete the assignment in less than 3 hours is easy. Too much work involved.
At night, i was to stimulate a scenario on how the budget can benefit Singaporeans at large. wah.. I worked with an economist, did some computation with the help of MOF to derive the amount. Ha... Again, it cracked my brain initially. Fortunately i managed to work it out. Boss felt the analysis was good and interesting. Phew... not too bad eh....
Its Friday and off day. Lots of activities coming up.

Gearing up Big Day
Feel slightly relieve after getting most of the things done. Tomolo is the big day. I hope everyday will turn out smoothly. It is going be very busy. Pple running ard like crazy. Time will be our biggest challenge. Once over, it will be a huge relieve. Then its time for CNY celebration. Cant wait for the day to come.
Kaz came over this afternoon. Had a hearty chat with him in the canteen. As usual, bitch abt our work and love life. Haiz... 2 uncles bitching abt life. hahahaha.... I took a short break from work to meet him up. Fortunately, there wasnt much things in the afternoon, so had the luxury for a small chat. He dropped by my office as he was on his way to collect flowers for his gf. Wow! Nice hor. However, the flowers were exp. Well, this is the day where most retailers jack up their prices. Some pple felt v day has become too commercialise.
Met a few pple too. First was Andy. Although we are in the same firm, i have not seen him for a very long time. Nice guy who always take good care of pple. In the evening, met Terrence Cao. Whahahah... I dun know him lar. But for his age, he looks damn young. I just saw the repeat telecast of Living in Geylang. Ha... Its Terrence again!

Busy Busy
I din want to blog initially but since i am online, i decide to pen down some tots. It was a long and tiring day at work. Taipei former Mayor Ma Ying Jeou has been prosecuted for corruption. Wow! That kept me busy almost the entire evening. I nearly couldnt have my dinner cos of him. There were many things on hand and yet i need to keep a lookout for development. Haiz...
Then it was the grand event on Thursday. PM will be announcing this year budget in 2 days time. This has kept me busy as i have some tasks to do. ARgh... I wish everything will be over quickly by thursday. Then i can enjoy my off day on Friday and then chinese new year celebration.
A colleague of mine is leaving on Friday. Sad. She has always been nice to us. I guess we will miss her. Someone is organising a farewell party for her in town. Woot! I was invited too! Hee... She asked if i could go. Well, for her, i will. She used to be my gym mate. That was long time ago before i joined PF. Pple are leaving and i am still here. When will it be my turn?

Cloudy V Day
I am so elated. Whoo... It's a sweet valentine lor. The setting is good. Next to the bustling street of Orchard Road, there is a quiet corner where we chill out. It wasnt a starry night but a cloudy one. We look at the passing clouds as we reflect upon ourselves. It was peaceful, serene and nothing else. Just u and me.
The dinner at Glass House was cool. I love the restaurant, all ready for v day. The serving was sufficient. The food was awesome. But i am feeling hungry now liao. hahaha... Anyway, i ordered 2 glasses of cocktail, one Blue Lagoon, the other Tequila on Sunrise. Whoo hoo... One was actually 7up with vodka or something, the other was Tequila with guava juice? ha... It was nice. Lovely.
It isnt easy to maintain a relationship for 5 good years. Of course there were difficult moments but we managed to overcome. I believe in something "Trust" and "Understanding". No doubt there are many shortcomings in us, we learn to forgive and accept. That is how a relationship works. I wont say i am the perfect bf, but i learn to appreciate.
Anyway, its Valentine Day lor. I really enjoy myself. It was a sweet moment for us. hee. All the best to other couples too. Tian Tian Mi Mi!

Feel Bitchy
It was an extremely fun and high nite. My dearest buddy Ken was doing a solo last night. He was singing, dancing n talking non stop under the influence of alcohol. Thanks to a friend, his action has been recorded into a phone. It is freaking funny. I am very sure abt that. I just watched the clip and had a good laugh at it.
It was pretty relaxed at work today. Walk ard, bitch ard with colleagues. I am just so bitchy in office today. hahhaah.. I think that got to do with my off days. I am off again on Monday. So happy. I dun like to work on monday not due to the long and draggy meeting. haiz.. But that is life. So i just have to bear with it.
Intend to go pigging out with dearie again in view of V day. That's fast. Our fifth time on this special occasion. I am looking fwd to it. I was on msn with larry when he claims i am the most luckiest guy on earth. Ha... Indeed. I am very fortunate with dearie with me all this while. She always lend me her support no matter wat happen. More importantly, she has been very understanding. That has kept us going for years. I really appreciate that. She will always be my dearest! whoo hoo.....

Chinatown Trail
Home sweet home after meeting dearie! Boy, I was really full from the things we ate. whahaha... Chicken rice plus rice, curry chicken, Teh Peng, Ice Lemon Tea. I feel very curry now. whahaha... Reminded me of all the lemak i took when i was in Bali. Besides pigging out, we went to Chinatown! Whoo hoo... I love Chinese New Year!
Thanks to Dr Lily Neo and grassroot leaders of Kreta Ayer. U guys did a good job! That is why 66% of the pple voted for you! I love the laser fountain. Nice. It is like a mini Las Vegas. ha... Although still far from it, at least i got the feel. I remembered i stood opposite the street, Las Vegas Blvd, last year to watch the magnificient musical fountain! The feeling is just there. More importantly, this time catching it with dearie at the heart of Chinatown. Whoo hoo...
As usual, i will accept all the well wishes from the canned announcement. ha.. The VO was Dichong. I am very sure abt that. The laser wasnt that bad. Some cartoons from the 12 lunar zodiac. How lovely. It would be better if the weather is cooler. hahahah... Cos its wkend tomolo, there were many pple. Families bring out their kids, uncles and aunties, all in the mood for CNY.
Before i met dearie, i saw Luo Zhixiang. ha. Yes, its me again. Always bumped into stars when i am outside. If this kind of luck can transformed into work, well done! Well, he isnt tat good looking. Nah, i am not being jealous. I think his assistant looks better. Taiwan's "La Mei"! Her dressing is so Taiwanese. hahahaha....
O level is out!!! I am so relieved when i heard my kid passed his O Levels. Like his mum, i am equally stressed and anxious over his results. My prediction was rite, he got C6 for my subject. Thankfully he din flung, if not, i dun know how to face his mother. This is the first time i took in a student. Though he din get an A or B, a pass is already suffice. ha... I am just so RELIEVED!
Wat a well spent Friday evening. YEsh! It is still off tomolo. Intend to do a hair cut. I hope it wont be too crowded. ha.. Its time to party too. A celebration? For my tuition kid? Can i have some chill chill drinks? ha... See ya guys!

Always Ready
Finally got the DVD from a colleague to watch TVB serial "Always Ready". Starring Bowie Lam, Ekin Cheng, Chermaine Sheh, it is a serial about the life of Govt Flying Service in Hong Kong. Whoo... I love this show. I like the little kid who acted as Bowie Lam's son. He is so adorable. On cable, everything is in mandarin, his voice has been dubbed with some lady's voice.
However, in the DVD, it is his real voice. OMG! I love him even more. I remembered in another TVB serial, he was Wen Zhaolun's son. I tot he resembled him more. ha.... I seldom see kids who can really act so well. More imporantly, he is cute lar. I dun mind having this kind of son. whahhahaha.....
Its my off day finally. I have been looking forward since monday. As usual, it has been a tiring week. Today isnt tat bad. At least i have some time to take a break. However, i did a voice training with my senior. Gosh, i was stressed. In order to do the best, there were lots of NG. grrr... Eventually, it wasnt tat bad but still room for improvement.
Cedric msn me. He told me he got his house in SK. YESH! Welcome boy! He is getting married with another friend of mine. Wah... Very nice hor. They bought an executive apartment at a price of more than 300k. I intend to visit him once his house is ready probably in April. All the best friend! This time, it will no longer be at Blk 48 NTU, it will be SK! I hope to see you ard!

CNY Goodies Coming
Thanks to CNY and some celebration, our office has been receiving lots of food and goodies. On Monday, we had curry chicken, a four season cake plus "Fei Cui" carrot cake. Beside that, we also had pineapple tarts and almond cookies. I was freaking full by dinner time. However, i still managed to gobble down the dinner i brought from home. ha...
Today, we had more goodies. There were love letters, potato chips, chocolates and even herbal cake. Wow. The herbal cake that came from Intercontinental Hotel was erm... not very nice. The cake taste very funny. I ate a small piece and it taste sweet and bitter. Wat a wierd combination the baker came up with. I heard it will increase male potency. Not sure if it is true or just a gimmick. ha....
A new colleague reported to work too. Well, i became his mentor for the day. STRESS! Showed him ard while i still need to work on my assignment. I almost couldnt finish my work on time. I was like peeing in my pants liao. ha.. The pressure became stronger when the deadline is almost up. Phew, i manage to finish on time, guess i am blessed. ha....
Went to the gym this morning before i head to work. It has been a very long time since i last went to the gym on a work day. I was kinda lazy to wake up earlier. hee. Well, i only visited the gym once last week, i promise myself to work harder this week. Vivocity PF is good. Not very crowded in the late morning. That means I can have a good time working out.
Was on msn with Kaz a few times. We discussed about job switching. I realised he is going thru the same phase that i went thru. Underpaid! I believe that got to do with the nature of the industry. In this industry that we worked in, pay always come second. If we want to earn big bucks, its either we switch field or do more moonlighting.
After trying so hard to change another job, i failed from to time. One of the reason being i was highly paid. That is so ridiculous! I am not highly paid at all. If i am, i wouldnt want to change job. From some feedback i got, I think these employers are being mean. They expect experienced workers like us to do a pay cut and at the same time produce high quality work.
Morale of the story: If you want to hire an experience staff, then be prepared to pay more. Dun tell me abt not having sufficient budget to match our pay. RIDICULOUS! At the end of the day, they will hire fresh graduates or better still hire pple who are willing to accept pay cut. Argh... I am so pissed lor. I have decided to take a short break before embarking on another round in search for greener pasture.

David Tao
I am craving for David Tao's singing tonight. When i reached home, i started looking for his album. Yep, the one he released abt seven years ago. I think that was his first album. I missed his songs greatly after radio played one of them recently. Well, i managed to dig his album out. It is still as good as new, with his signature and wishes. Yeah! He wrote

I switched on my long-time-never-turned-on hifi set quickly once i go online. Listening to his songs while i blog away. It is just so relaxed. I particularly like "Blue Moon" and "I Love You". It is so David. I enjoyed this kind of feeling. Totally relaxed after a hard day work. He is still one of the best singers today.
I remembered how i got his signature. He came to SR to promote his album. When i heard he was coming, i bought his album quickly. Though it's more than 7 years, i still remember he worn a cap and a pair of nice sneakers when he came to SR. Speaking of that, i really miss SR. I missed my fellow ex-colleagues. I wonder how are they doing. They are really nice nice pple.
It was hectic at work as usual. It is only day 2. I need to work for another 2 days before my off day. I shall endure. Then its 2 off days straight. YESH! I am SO looking forward to it!

It is so David. I enjoyed this kind of feeling. Totally relaxed after a hard day work. He is still one of the best singers today.
I remembered how i got his signature. He came to SR to promote his album. When i heard he was coming, i bought his album quickly. Though it's more than 7 years, i still remember he worn a cap and a pair of nice sneakers when he came to SR. Speaking of that, i really miss SR. I missed my fellow ex-colleagues. I wonder how are they doing. They are really nice nice pple.
It was hectic at work as usual. It is only day 2. I need to work for another 2 days before my off day. I shall endure. Then its 2 off days straight. YESH! I am SO looking forward to it!

Dragonfly
Finally embarked on my trip to St James most "happening" outlet Dragonfly. It is really like a big concert hall with drinks served and singers performing on stage. I am impressed by the songs they sang, from cantonese to mandarin. More importantly, it resemble the good old days of canto.
I must take my hats off for Mr Dennis Foo and Mr Andrew Ig. They are really my idols. To bring so many outlets under one roof is simply amazing. Dragonfly is like an enlarged version of Devils Bar on Sunday. Well, on sunday, Devils Bar plays Mandarin and Canto pop. Over at Dragonfly the venue is at least thrice bigger. There were not only singers but dancers too. Amazing. Well, the singers even have different sets of costume that i am extremely impressed.
Now, the negative part abt the place is the crowd. No doubt there were a few youngsters like us, most were in their 30s to 40s. The age group is different. I see many aunties and uncles. Really. They sang and partied with us. Very interesting sight. Some of them could be as old as my parents or their siblings.
Besides Dragonfly, Ken and i went over to Powerhouse. Ha... Very interesting. The theme for the night was Fabulous Sunday. There was even a sign that read "Private Function, Entry is subjected to Management Discretion". I was like erm.. Company hosting a party on Sunday Night??? Wrong. It was actually Boys Night. whahahaha... Clever idea from Andrew i guess. He probably want to warn homo phobic pple to go away in case they feel offended.
Since it was Boys Night, the name tells it all. Hot bodied male partying with their shirts off, revealing their cleverage. ha... I guess if they are straight, most girls will fall in love with them. As usual, i stood there motionless and laughed my head off. It was a very funny sight. hahaha.... However, i met a friend who really caught me by surprise. I shant reveal his identity, but i would say he is a prominent figure in my industry.
I wonder what make him turn this way. He was the kind of boy next door, down to earth type. I can tell u many girls like him. What happen? Anyway, the more happening part is here, we saw Jeff Wang. OMG! Rushing down after the live program from Superstar? My god. His kakis and buddies were there. hahaha....
Wat i said previously is true. The world do not revolve around you and me. There are many things that we have never come across. I am glad i have seen how the real world look like. Despite tight control over such issues, you will be surprise there are many gays and lesbians. As usual, I really pity their parents. However, nothing can be done.
On the whole, Dragonfly still impressed me a lot. Perfect place to chill out. I had more fun today than last night. Going to bed now. Its time to sleep and get ready for a new work week.

Random Tots
While waiting for my hair to dry, i have decided to pen down some tots over what happened just now. I was pretty excited to head down to my favourite haunt after a hard day work. There has been lots of work recently and sometimes i really feel the tension in my blood. When i reached, i was welcomed by several regulars. To my surprise, another group joined us.
As the permanent resident of the place, we always welcome new pple. However, I was shocked when i learnt about scandals among pple. I questioned myself how can one sustain a relationship yet going out with another? Am i outdated or being overly sensitive? To be honest, i cant bring myself to do it. I have been taught to be a man of integrity. I cannot accept these kind of behaviours.
True enough. Nightspots are always famous for all kind of pple. That is why i enjoy going cos it always brighten up my perspective abt life of other pple. Moreover, i have learnt to be tolerant and accept the negative points of others. I have also come to realise that we are not living in the world of our own. As a chinese proverb always say, the same kind of rice breed different species of pple. It's true.
Its a friend's birthday anyway. He was drunk by 2 am so much better than Kaz. However, he behaves quietly when he is drunk. Another female friend of mine got so high and started doing irrational stuff. So it is true drunkard tells the truth. There were lots of untold stories that i got to hear. ha... Well, i prefer not to hear abt it.
I was in a high mood when i reached. By the time i leave, i felt disgusted. Simply disappointed with some pple. It shouldnt be that way. I guess i think too much. Well, pple change as they grow up. The way they changed is just so unbelieveable. haiz... I shall join dearie in dreamland and not let my tots run wild.

Amazing Race Asia
I was very thrilled last night when i saw the 2 girls in Amazing Race Asia won! Yipee! They did all the girls proud. But more importantly, they are the first all female team to won the Amazing Race. Cos in US version, no female team has ever won in the race. Winners are usually dominated by all male team.
Oh, another season of Amazing Race is coming up very soon in 2 weeks time. I am looking forward to it. This time, it will be all stars favourite. I guess Rob and Amber will be in the race. I hope Charla and team will be there too. It should be exciting. After watching 2 versions, US version still rocks. ha... However, the challenges in Amazing Race Asia are more tedious and tiring.
Back to work, oh well. I did something very proud today. Yesh! It has been a very long time since i broke a personal best. I did it AGAIN! I was squeezed till dry to come up with 6 stories. Wonderful! I almost had no time for dinner lor. Have to eat at my desk again. This is the second day in a row. Shall i call for a celebration?
I guess if there is better planning and time management, none of this would have happen. I was behaving like a mad man! Running ard, cursing, frantically looking for materials yet remaining cool at the same time. Ha... This is difficult. Very challenging. A friend msn me and said my job is exciting. I almost fainted, cos there are many times when my heart almost came out of my mouth. ha.... EXCITING.
Its SATURDAY again! Yep. The day that i have been looking fwd to. I have been working extremely hard this week. Too much work and longer working hours. Time for party liao. I need some drinks and music to cool off. Can someone ask Dbl O to play CNY songs? I will be very happy if the management does it.... haahhahahaha

Work Stress
OMG! The first month of 2007 is over. That's fast. It has been a hectic and busy month. Everyday was like fighting a war, too much work and before you know, the day is over. I wonder if this is good or bad. Last night when a colleague of mine send me home, he said something like this.
"The day has finally ended."
I was like yar... i AGREE. It's time to head home and rest. During the day, it was as usual rushing ard like nobody business. Then, blood pressure goes up, heart rate increases. By the end of the day, sometime i really feel like a deflated balloon. When i reached home, i like to chill out in my room, listen to songs or even stare blankly at TV. Dun wish to think abt any other stuff.
Was out with dearie this evening. She must have been overwhelmed with all her work. I told her Singaporeans are under severe work stress. U feel very "wu nai" but there's nothing much u can do. When problem occur, u scratch ur hair till they drop. If u manage to solve, it is still fine. But when it doesnt, haiz... pull more hair.
It's a long day tomolo. Going on course in the morning then continue to work. Tiring. It is going to be more then 12hours. ARgh... Have to endure another 3 days before my next off day. Nevermind. Wkend is coming up. I am so looking fwd already. I wish it was Saturday and time to relax. argh... Less work but more fun.....
