Same Name

I was so high tonite! ha... Just came back from the usual clubbing nite and met more new friends. This time, i met someone who shared the same name with me... whoo hoo..... It was so funny. In the end, we cheers to our name and i promised him i wont spoilt the reputation of our name. ha....

This guy who share the same name with me was a friend of Kaz. We had so many things in common. First it was name, then age. ha... If we were born in the same month, then i can really call him brother liao. It is really fun to end our last session at dbl o for the year 2006. Had a few drinks, i drank 3 glasses of red wine. The same name guy commented that i look younger than him. whahahaha.... that made my day again!!!

The usual gang was there, Jason attempted to do a sexy dance on me. BEST! I din know this guy could be so energetic and fun. So did Kaz and Adrian. We partied side by side, tok lots of rubbish and disturb each other. ha... I was in another world. No more stress at work, no more nagging from seniors! I love Saturday!

Like wat ken said, this is the last session we are having at Dbl O before the close of 2006. A year has passed and we are growing older. Reflecting back, this is the second time we are celebrating year end at dbl o. So much changes have taken place, the old birds have left but replaced with new ones.

I am glad i did a dance at the podium with Ken and David. It was an oppt for 3 of us to dance on the same spot. Ken has been very sporting today. He din leave early and partied till we left. Anyway, its already 5 am in the morning. In another 24 hours, we are moving into a brand new year.

As we ushered into the new year i hope many wishes and resolutions will come true. There were so many unexpected turn of events occuring this year. I wish for a smooth sailing life and may all dreams come true!

14yo Friendship

Its 230am in the morning and i just reached home. Well, it is not a clubbing night. I was out for supper with my very best friends. Yep, they are my bros for more than a decade, even longer than Ken. Yes, Hao and Ying. We had a little meet up session before new year to see how we are doing. I kinda miss the days when we were classmates in school.

I think it is good to meet many old friends before the year comes to an end. I have met a few ones. The only friend that i would want to meet next is Lincoln. He is my buddy when we were in NS. We used to be very close and even went on a trip to Gold Coast 6 years ago. Those were the days. I miss these pple. They really make a difference in my life.

Coming back to hao and ying, we were very close friends since the days in MJR. We always hang out together, celebrated many new year together. I still remember there was once when they stayed over at my house for countdown. That was like N years ago. It was really fun. We were students and have less burden to tackle during those days.

Although many unexpected events happened over the last few years, we managed to keep in contact and are still the best of friends. I feel so relax catching up with them. While on our way back, Hao recalled the days when i always had stomachache in the morning. He would have to carry my books or bag to class. I would be rushing for toilet. ha... Really...

Sometimes, i really feel grateful for all the things he had done in the past. Whatever unhappy incidents happened, i would think of the good things he had done for me. Yeah. He really helped me a lot. Not forgetting the long hours we spent chatting on phone. Ha... Those MJR days.

I was msning to Kaz last night saying that i would love to go back to my younger days. But, no exams pls. ha... He shared the same sentiment too. I guess when you grow older, you tend to have this kind of feeling. Hmm.... uncle tots?

Happening Sia

Wat a Happening Day! Received a sms from Lilian this morning asking abt visiting Joseph in HK next year. I was like... ha.. excited. It has been more than 10 years since we last went on a trip. The last time was Chi Fan Yi Zhuo, which is like the 42 days in China. That was really classic. I think many of us cant forget the good old days, including Joseph.

If the trip materialise, we would be travelling more to outer islands of HK, which dearie went the last time. Probably Macau and Shenzhen if we have the time. Sound exciting, i miss the sweet soup, pork chop rice etc. I must try out the claypot rice at temple street. Damnz. I miss it when i was there last time. Anyway, we will see how things go.

In the afternoon, it was raining. This i-dunno-who guy asked if he could share an umbrella with me when i alighted from the bus outside my workplace. I am ok since he would be drenched if he decide to take the risk and run to my office building. My bag got extremely wet after ferrying him to work. Well, for a good cause, worth the effort. ha...

Once again, during the midst of a busy schedule, my boss asked me to go for an assignment. I put down everything on hand, then rush to the scene. The place was badly burnt. I could smell the smoke, soot n everything. Fortunately, no one was hurt. When the assignment is over, i smell bad too. Felt dizzy too, i think due to the inhaling of excess carbon.

Finally, when i reached home, i saw a MP3 player with flash disk lying on my table. It was a gift from dad. Actually, it was a gift that my bro rejected. Quickly downloaded songs into the player. Wala... I can tune in to my favourite songs tomolo while on way to work. ha... Finally. It is time for bed. Cant wait for the wkend to come....

Hectic Night

Came back from a hectic work schedule this evening. Well, it started after Larry came over for a show. I met him and Victor. Before i even knew it, my senior called me to rush back for an important assignment. I was like... ok. When it was any other day, such things do not occur. It only came up when i meet a friend or something.

Anyway, while rushing thru the assignment, i suddenly received another instruction. This time to go to a private estate to check out a landslide. BEST. It was raining and i was in the midst of doing other stuff. I handover my work to another colleague to do the followup. I must say it is a good learning experience to deal with different scenarios. However, not too often. ha... My heart may not be able to take it...ha...

Nonetheless, i somehow appeared on TV during Christmas eve. OMG! It really created a lot of attention. I received many sms from friends and even colleagues. Limei was rite, the impact on TV is 10 times on radio. That translates to TV can never replace radio. ha... I would say the produer of the program did a good job. It was a good feature on us. Really appreciate her effort.

Its less than 7 days to New Year. It is time to make new year resolution. Well, most of my resolutions seem unfufilled. ha.. I think it is a good opportunity to reflect upon ourselves again. I will usually take some time before sleep to think thru wat happened during the year. Are there any things to improve? Are there any changes to be made? etc... Still a few more days. Hmm...

St James Powerstation

I am almost half asleep but decide to blog down some of my tots before i forget. Its Christmas!!! Although i am not a fan of Christmas, i enjoy celebrating this festive occasion. I was out with Jun earlier part of the day. Gosh, it was raining pretty heavily. I have to stick to the wet weather plan that i came up before we meet.

Yes, its Vivocity. It was pretty crowded, with rowdy kids and half past sleep parents. No wonder Kevin is always against them. Children and parents should be banned from shopping centres. ha... He will always roll his eye balls when he see pple with kids. I guess he couldnt stand them. We had dinner then took a stroll under the drizzling condition. Romantic hor? Took a little rest while we enjoy the beautiful scene of Sentosa.

Then it was time to say goodbye. Ken came early for our Xmas Party 2. GOD! St James was super crowded. I got a shock when i saw the queue. Powerhouse and Dragonfly are full house. We couldnt get in at all. So we went to Tiger Live and Modiva instead. The countdown was at Modiva.

Good music. They invited some Brazilians to perform. Very interesting. Sang lots of song with strong South American flavour. Oh yes, we met Dennis Foo and Andrew Ig, the men behind St James. Very cool! It would be a good working experience if we get to work under them. I am impressed by the way they deploy and do crowd control. Cool!

Before we decide to call for the day, Ken and I chill out at Tiger Live. It was the same team that used to perform at Devils Bar. Yep, Hady's team. The band members are there, one particular female lead singer was there. I recognise her almost immediately. Her voice is still as powerful. Too bad Hady is not there liao. It somehow brought some memories of them performing at Devils. Cos exactly one year ago, i was celebrating Christmas at Devils. Time flies.

Ok, its time to bed. It will be another working day tom. Christmas is a working day... boring.

Christmas Eve

Its Christmas Eve! Time of the year again. This is the third year i am blogging on Christmas. Time really flies. Looking thru the past entries, i realise i am getting old. Bleah... Inching closer and closer to 30... that is scary... ha... BUT I believe in young at heart. ha... No matter what, it is always 25. Remember?

Came back from the Xmas Party 1 late last night. Had some nice red wine to celebrate the festive occasion. Surprisingly, the crowd was pretty small last night. Not many turned up except a few regulars. I invited David to join us, he was initially contemplating whether he should turn up, after some persuasion, he came.

The rest of the gang were there too. We partied, gossip and had fun. Let me tell you, these pple are interesting. Ha... I think Ken agreed too. When i was their age, i was erm... ha... As the permanent resident of the place, ken and i continue our usual gossip too. I think he is too stress from work.

Meeting dearie later for our little celebration. No white christmas but rainy christmas. ha... It is good to date ur love one during festive season. It adds to the joy of celebration. Better go prepare for the occasion. Ha... I want to look shuai shuai n nice nice... whahahah... cant believe i am saying this.

Wishing all A Merry Christmas!

Counting Down to Xmas

I have wanted to blog last night. Due to fatigueness, i decide to call it a day and head to bed. It was quite a relax day at work. I guess it is festive season, everyone's having a good mood. For many, it is like a long weekend break. For me, it is like no leave and i still got to work. Most xmas parties have already began since last night. So foolish! ha....

I was msning the whole night with jun on the horoscope Larry sent me. I am not a believer of horoscope. I would usually delete horoscope kind of email whenever i receive it. I believe we run our own fate. A few words should not determine our fate and character. However, there are times that we can never really control.

Larry insisted i take a look at the horoscope. He said its very true. Well, since i have nothing better to do in office, i took a peek. Wah... Shock! Quite true wor. The part on me is like 70% true. I read jun's too. Also very true. It correctly pointed out the characteristic of us. whahahha... So true! After reading thru Ken's horoscope, i realise Ken score the highest point. 100% true. ha....

So much for the horoscope. Then Mao msn me. It has been a very long time since we last chatted. Best, she switched job again. Some pples' life are just so luckier. She emailed me to congratulate me on winning the star awards. This is wat she said....

Congratulations. You have won the Best script for Golden Pillow!

I nearly fell off the chair when i read the email. She is still as funny as ever. If weiqiang is ard, we can talk cock till the sky. ha... Anyway, why Golden Pillow? It is a long story. We were classmates during JC period. That time, Mediacorp was running Golden Pillow, starring Fann and Zoe. We would always gossip abt the story whenever in class or in between breaks.

One fine day, it got out of control and Golden Pillow became our favourite term. whahahaha... So foolish! Whenever i start talking to her, i dun feel its me. Cos we always end up talking rubbish. Things that dont make sense at all.

During the day, i was msning with Larry. This guy even best. I lost all my xing xiang when i speak to him. whahahah.... He is a funny guy. Always post lots of funny remarks on MSN. I like to disturb him lor. Life has been good with these funny pple ard. Everything is going on well over the last few days. My mood has been very good too.

Moreover, it is festive season. It is here Finally. It will be another night of fun after work. Aiyah, irritating, need to work before celebration kicks in. Over the next 24 hours, it will be pretty packed. Programs have been lined up in view of Christmas!!!

23 Dec
Afternoon: Working Hard
Late Night: Xmas Party 1

24 Dec

Late Night: Xmas Party 2

25 Dec
No celebration cos back to work

I am going to indulge myself in this festive celebration. I dun want to work only. I also want to have fun and chill out! Ok. Its time to prepare for work then the party BEGINS!!!

Bitchy Night

Yep. I was out at Vivo city this evening with X. Name shall remain anonymous to protect the identity of X. whahaha... We were bitching the whole night abt our work. Damn it lor... X is suffering from the same syndrome i had when i started working in this place. Cant believe it. The exact feeling i had when i went through the toughest moment in life.

I guess SR has been very relaxed all this while. We have time to gossip, time to fool ard, take naps and even do our own stuff. Over here is like, work, more work and more more work. Time pass extremely quickly. Before you knew it, it is time to go home. Yes, the nature of the job. The fear and anxiety can burst your heart.

X has never taken MC in his previous job. When X came over, took many days of MC. That applies to me too. whahaha... Sometime, this job is really driving everyone crazy. The downside is health. I am concern with health on the long run. For me, it is not too bad cos i dun have to wake up like 3am in the morning. For X, really damaging his/her health.

Next stress level. Well, in any job, there are bound to be stress. I somehow feel tat our stress is much higher than others. We have tight deadlines almost everyday. There are times that i really jumped up and down cos time is up. If i dun make it on time, i am going to get a big screw up. It is not something that you want.

Initially, i tot i was not up to the standard. Looking back, i think everyone thinks the same too. I reiterate it is the nature of the job. The best way to overcome is to DESTRESS. Fortunately, i found my way of destressing. So did X. If not, i will grow old faster and become even more grumpy. hahahah....

Young leh

I am elated today. Why? Cos someone said i look 22. BEST! whahahaha.... She even commented that i look younger than another colleague of mine. In fact, he is younger than me. Whahahaha... Lalalala.... I guess when pple grow older they like to hear comments like u r so young. blah blah blah... The feeling is good. Really.

Sometimes i wonder, when we were young, we wanted to grow up faster. We want to venture into the adult world soon and enjoy the fruits of adulthood. However, tat comes with a price. More responsibilities and problems. By then, u would want to be a kid, less stress with little concerns. Life is just so contradicting.

I wanted to do a little review of what i have done over the year. Well, it is almost end of 2006. There are many ups and downs again this year. There are times that i really feel miserable. Tried many different things yet it failed from time to time. I got so demoralised. Seriously, my life has change ever since i left poly. It was never as smooth as before.

Thankfully, i received very strong support from dearie and friends. They stood by me in times of difficulties. Without these pple, life would be even more miserable. There are times when i really feel live giving up. Fly to a foreign place and stay for a month before coming home. Really. Time is tough but i emerged stronger.

I have been flying ard like nobody business. ha... I treated myself to holidays and more holidays. Why? To get out of this damn place and rethink what i want. I feel relax when i am out of the country. Pple tot i am rich, the actual fact is i want to relax. It applies to clubbing as well. Cos there are times u dun really know hey what the hell is going on. You hope to get out of these difficult moments asap.

The 5 overseas retreats kept me going. Of course the trip to USA was the most memorable one. It is my dream and i finally fulfill. Till today, i can never forget the days i spent in New York. I miss Manhatten. I love the place. Cosmopolitan and vibrant. The second place i really enjoyed is Bali. Though i suffer a terrible stomach upset when i return home, i still love the place.

Bali is like beach, sand, sun and sea. It is definitely a great chill out place. Kevin and Alex were good travelling companions. Hao and Gavin too. They are not fussy and i have lots of freedom while traveling with them. Come to think of that, dearie was asking when shall we go for an overseas trip. Whoo... I would love to. Probably downunder or Sushi land? ha...

I will have another set of 21 days leave from next April. Whahaha... Time to plan for more trip. I am an easy going travelling companion. Anyone who wants to travel can approach me, provided i still have the leave and cash. whahahah.... More holidays next year! Yesh!

Rainy Tuesday

It has been raining non-stop for the last 24 hours. When i woke up early this morning, it was raining cats and dogs. By noon before heading to work, the rain turned smaller. However, that didnt last long. Thankfully, i managed to reach my work on time. The road to my workplace somehow got sealed off due to a flood.

YES. FLOOD! The water level reach our knee cap. Roads were sealed off for safety reasons. This is the first time in my whole life that i see flood water reaching till knee cap. Car almost submerged in water. Road became river. The water just overflow from a nearby drain. Very bad.

A colleague of mine was tasked to do an assignment regarding the rainy season during the day. I was like laughing at him for not wearing a pair of swimming trunk. Retribution. By night, my boss decide to assign me to do a follow up. I was like erm... Nevermind. I went and it was an eye opener.

Wading in water at night was not fun. In fact, it was dangerous. Water level was pretty deep and i had to carry a large umbrella. Gosh, it was heavy. I was afraid i may fall into a nearby canal since i cant differentiate a road from canal. Halfway down the flooded road, i decide to make a u turn and walk on higher ground. If not, i would have drenched badly.

When i returned to office, my legs couldnt take it. I might be allergic to the water or something. My legs were like red and itchy. Fortuntately, it subsided. It was such an exciting night. I guess this is the first flooding incident i ever encountered. It is still raining at this hour. I hope it will end soon.

Cold Weather = Hungry

It is always nice to turn on soothing music especially after a day's work. Not blasting mambo music but Jay's and FIR songs, contributions from dearie. Nice songs really destress a person after all the hectic moments we have at work. Though Sunday is a pretty stress free day, there are still moments that it can be hectic. Ha... I think that got to do with the nature of the work.

Woke up pretty late after clubbing late from last night. Thankfully, i din suffer any hangover. However, i had no appetite for lunch. Ate a little and then its off to work. By 4pm, my stomach is growling like no other business. I heated a packet of rice and ate quickly. Ha.. No choice.

I suspect the cold weather was part of the reason for me to munch on food. It was raining very heavily this afternoon. My god. Office is like 20 degrees or less. My colleagues were seen wearing sweaters, jacket and even scarf. ha.... I felt particularly hungry. During dinner time, i bought another packet of rice and ate with a colleague.

As usual, met a few pple in canteen. This time was Best Actor Nanxing with Best Supporting Actor Nominee Guoping. They were eating happily away while i waited for my Fried Chicken Rice. Ha... Best... Oily and so unhealthy. I think i need to take in some nutritious food tomolo. Ha... Alright, its time to sleep. It is day 2 of work. 3 more days and i am off again.

Johnny Walker's Night

It was so happening at Johnny Walker night. Ha... Hosted at Dbl O, the club managed to attract a couple of pple including regulars like us. Thanks to Larry's invitation, Ken and i managed to get free flow of Johnny Walker. Although the drink does not taste as good as it sound, i enjoy the company of friends chilling out together.

Met the guys pretty early for dinner at 6 plus. We had a little chat before proceeding for the free entry at Dbl O. Then it was dinner near Mohammed Sultan. Finally, we went back to Dbl O for Johnny Walker's event. It was impressive. I told the pple there it was a well managed event as the sponsors are really keen to give free drinks. I have been to a few places, they were less generous.

I was introduced to some new friends. Very funny pple too. I guess it is always fun to get to meet new pple. It makes life interesting as they view life with a different prospective. When it was time for dance, i had another tequlia shot. This time with Kaz and gang. Probably i was high, there wasnt much effect on me.

We partied till late hours. Dailing was here with her husband. Ha... Funny too. My colleague finally came at 2am when i treated her to a drink. I introduced her to some of my friends and realised they were school mates ie senior and junior. Ha.... World is small. That is always wat i believe.

Before we left, Jason spoke to me. He insisted he was not high, i doubt so. He couldnt even hold his cigarettes properly. ha.... Another Saturday gone! Well, it is time to look fwd to next week. My working week starts tomolo. Argh... Its ok. The AWS that i received should keep me going. Jia You!

Devils Bar

Everything looks the same. No significant changes. Yes, it is still the old devils bar. Met ken after work as we decide to find a place to chill out. Ken suggested Devils to reminisce the good old days. It has been almost a year since i last visited Devils. The last time was during Christmas, when Larry invited me for a drink there.

Anyway, the interior deco remain unchanged. It's Dennis Foo, the man behind St James Powerstation. The toilet is still as dirty as ever. Ha... I even walked ard and recalled the incident when a table flew across me some years back. Those were the rowdy days. The crowd seems different today. More working executives this time.

The only change is the band. I kinda of miss the days when Hady performs at Devils. He is the man. The current band doesnt sing as good as Hady's. Even the ladies that sang along with him were not there. What a waste. However, if you are the live band type, Devils bar is the choice. I enjoy chilling out with a band performing on stage. I dun need to dance all the time. ha....

During the day, it was work and more work. I was on an assignment when i met this yappy who drives a sports car. Very young, probably in his early 30s. He holds a senior post in a large organisation, happily married and flys ard like nobody business. Speaking to him makes me feel so small. What happen to me?

I guess there are some pple who are just luckier than others. Like wat my mum says, pple lead different lives. It is the result of their previous deeds. Everyone should be satisfied with their life. If not, we will live in pain and agony. Sound so philosphical and religious. To a certain extend, it is true.

It is finally weekend. Its my off day. Yipee... Intend to head to the gym in the late morning. Then to meet David n gang for dinner before proceeding to my favourite haunt. whahaha... Its Saturday... remember? Time to be intoxicated and boogie. I love Saturday!

Freak Out

I nearly freaked out at work today. It became terribly frightening when i sat on the console and the system hang. My heart almost came out of my mouth. It is too scary when u know u need to run the program in less than 2 minutes. Cold sweat lor. Thankfully, i am trained to remain calm. I picked myself up, do a reboot... wala... its done. Of course, i paid a price.

Was toking to Alvin over MSN when he was sharing with me his experience on credit cards. I almost vomitted blood when he mentioned abt cards. I have already given up hopes on them as i believe banks only help the rich. Good, keep approving the rich, let them default more payment, then eventually becomes bad debt. Excellent!

Banks cannot be trusted anymore. I am simply disappointed with them. What is the meaning of we cant divulge our credit evaluation? Halo, only the bank and me will know the evaluation, unless they sell it to a third party. The more i think, the more i feel offended. Tat applys to insurance companies too. I have always wanted to give them the oppt to do business, however, when i think of the treatment i received, i am sorry. I rather keep my money under my bed than to leave it with financial institutions.

ha... cant believe i am a banking and finance student... something is wrong....ha....

Strange Love

It was a freaking busy day despite being Sunday. I woke up late then rushed for work quickly within half an hour. Thankfully, i reached the venue early. Some of my colleagues came earlier than me. We chit chat for a moment before proceeding to the venue. Managed to take a couple of pictures, one of which was with my favourite stars.

On another note, i was glancing at one of my friend's friendster when i realised something. My friend is married yet doesnt behave like one. ha... What do i mean by that? I kinda of pity the husband. If i ever have a wife like tat, i think the marriage can be called off. They are already ROMed and the girl is out flirting with other guys.

How in the world did it happen? Girls are no longer behaving like in the past. It is ok to flirt with other guys so long as no sexual intercourse occur. hmm... I find it hard to accept. Has the mentality change or am i outdated? Well, i guess some girls love to seduce guys, while others love to be seduced. The world has changed.

Dun want to think further. I would conserve my energy for work tomolo rather then thinking thru all these rubbish. Ha... One more day to go before meeting up dearie... Been thinking of her lately during late nights....ha...

Saturday Nite Out

Whoo hoo. Just came back from the regular session at Dbl O. Most regulars were not there due to Zoukout in Sentosa. I was happy i din go cos work was pretty hectic, thanks to the election in Taiwan. Only Jason was there with his usual gang. We party a while before Joelle came along.

Ed is back in Singapore. I wanted to meet him but the damn crowd at Dbl O forbade me to do so. If i was to step out of Dbl O, i guess i wont be able to gain re-entry. I thought most pple will go to Zoukout but i was wrong. Many pple turned up at Dbl O instead. I heard many came from MOS cos there was age restriction there, many din meet the minimum of 23 and were turned away.

Well, i met Larry and gang too. This time, i get to know these guys better. Ha... The ever youthful Kaz was there too. Wau lau, both of us share the same mentality, never say old. Ha... We sat at the lounge for some chilling out session. I have always enjoyed the lounge at Dbl O. It is so relaxing and cool. We gossip a bit, then it was time for supper.

Din eat much after a bottle of Bercardi and a glass of Carlsberg. We continued our bitching session. I realise these guys know lots of things going on over at Dbl O. Funny pple lor. Thanks to them that i know there is a way to seek cheap entry into Dbl O. whahaha... Cant believe it. Call myself a regular.

Its time to sleep. Another long working day for me tomolo. It will be St James Powerhouse. Then its back to office for more work. Haiz... This is only my second working day. 2 more days to go... endure.....

Friday Supper

I was out with Hao and Ying for supper after work. Well, it has been a very long time since the 3 of us went out together. The short gathering was suffice as we try to catch up on our life. Hao just ended his exams and waiting for results. For Ying, it was time he took a break from his thesis and resume his part time job. ha...

The day in office was hectic. As usual, i have to multitask again. Did some side job on top of the normal routine. Then i was called to boss office for a little chat. Ha... Not too bad though. Manage to get a little recognition from work. I was thinking if it was a pay increment. ha... My foot. However, it is always good to keep with an open mind.

Today marks the start of my work week. For many, its finally off. ha... Larry msg me last nite to check if i was going to Dbl O. I gave him a positive reply that probably made his day. He was still thinking if any of the regulars will be there despite Zoukout on Sentosa. Nah, i need to work tomolo. I will be late for Zoukout by the time i finish work.

Sentosa will be infested with thousands of pple. I wont want to be ushered in like a sardine. Then it was the weather. It has been raining over the past few days, i dun want to get caught in the rain. Finally, i hate being sweaty and dirty. Ha... I dun want myself to soak in the sand while doing mambo moves. Neither do i want to see pple revealing their hairy armpit at me. Sorry folks. ha...

Call me a loser. However, i prefer to stay in the comfort of Dbl O, with nice music and cheap drinks. Chilling out in the lounge makes my day. ha...

Back from Taipei

Touched down this evening at 11pm from Taipei. It was a great moment for all of us over the last few days. We din sleep a lot during the whole trip as we wanted to cover as many part of Taipei as possible. Personally, i feel some places are far from my expectation.

There were indeed tons of good food. However, on the last day, i got sick of the food, exactly the same feeling i had when i was in HK. I find their food salty, meaty and oily. Some were even unhealthy. Price was not cheap either, almost similar to the price in Singapore. There were lots of bubble tea outlets too.

Pple in Ximending are very trendy. Their fashion is more "happening" than Singapore. Girls dressed up to the occasion, with nice makeup, boots, pretty skirts. For guys, it will be a trendy jacket with a nice singlet or tshirt. Lovely. I remembered when i was in one of the clubs, the pple recognised me as Singaporean. Yes, by the way i dressed. Damn....

Weather is pretty cool. I can still walk ard without a jacket despite the weather reaching as low as 18 degree. I was wondering if there is something wrong with the thermometer. Cant match the cold i experienced in UK. It was really cold during that time. However, coming from a tropical country, i should feel pretty cold by the temperature in Taipei. Strange.

Anyway, the cool weather made my day. When i stepped out of Changi Airport, i was like, hey, its back to the hot and humid climate again. Haiz. Besides the lower temperature in Taipei, it was drizzling throughout the day. Sometimes, it spoilt our mood. The rain is not heavy. It belongs to those that drizzle and wont end for the whole day. Aiyoh...

It is pretty late now. Need to catch some good sleep. Wanted to take a good rest while flying with jetstar but it was too noisy. The 4hr plus ride on budget airline was not fun at all. I told Gavin, if there was ever a long haul flight, we should pay a bit more for a slightly better flight. We should be at least entitled to some basic comfort. Well, will update more on the trip again.

Hello Taipei

Whoo hoo. Will be in Taipei in less than 24 hours. I am very excited cos its finally off from work. This time, i wont be transiting in Taipei but to enjoy myself in the heart of the city. I am looking forward to a few places, including the all time favourite Taipei 101. I managed to do a little packing just now. Hee. Will continue to do more packing in the morning.

Some colleagues of mine contributed valuable advice to my upcoming trip. I have some ideas where to go. Well, at least i wont be wasting time discussing with my friends where to go. I heard from news that Taipei will be pretty cold over the next few days due to a change of wind direction and pressure. Ha... Ooh... I love cold weather. I enjoy hiding in the blanket while outside is cool and chilling. So fun lor.

Was at Dbl O just a short while ago. Ha.. Cindy and Huixin came this time after missing for a few session. The regulars were there. However, Ken left earlier cos he was too tired from work. Once again, i chilled out at the lounge with a bottle of barcadi. Spent some good time talking to the siblings. I was introduced to a new friend michelle. Cool gal. When she heard i was leaving for Taipei, she was like... Wow! ha...

Chilling out with friends is like destressing after a hard day at work. These pple are nice, they share with me different views in life and i really appreciate it. Like David say, it is the pple that made the difference. Its true. Without them, i guess there will be less fun. Anyway, it will be Zoukout next wkend. I doubt i will be there due to my working commitment. Nah, i dun want to get wet and dirty too.. ha....

Taipei! Here i come. I want cold cold weather... yes....

Enduring Hard

Finally back at home after a busy day at work. After the luxurious rest on wednesday, the last 2 days were like madness. Once again, beating the deadline became so challenging. Nonetheless, managing the project proved even tougher. One more day to go before my short break.

Din meet up with Chin Yin and gang to discuss our Taipei trip. I got no time to meet up with them except the day when we depart from Singapore. Ha. Thankfully, i msn with Liyan to briefly discuss what we can do over the next 4 days in Taipei. My colleagues offered valuable advice on some of th must visit place. Ha... At least, i have something in mind now.

Endure another day. Been waiting for this day to come since last week. So happy. Before the trip, it will be another chill out session at Dbl O. Ooh... I want some music! I love some beer. It will keep me motivated. Yeah!

Its the opening of the Asian Games tonight. Looks pretty grand at the opening ceremony in Doha. I am a little surprised a middle eastern country to host the Asian Games. Just heard from TV that Singapore's Iskanda and Dick Lee were two of the directors for the mass display. They really do us proud. I mean getting tthem o Doha to coordinate and direct the shows. Not everyone get the chance to do it. Good job!

What abt our atheletes? I think our imported talents will do us proud too. ha.. Not i am biased against them, but it is a stigma for many locals. I mean though they sang our national anthem, it always come with a wierd essence. Just not too right. However, we should still open our arms to welcome them. We need them rite? Its the govt policy anyway. Well.....
