Where is the Love?

Met a close friend bf. I should say former bf. Things changed over the last few months. I am already in shocked when i saw his friendster status change. Photos of them had been removed. I think their relationship had come to an end. Dearie said its hard to comment on others relationship especially if we dunno the details. True. Even if we know the details, it is still not easy to understand.

The guy is now with another new gf. The guy is surprised when he caught me. hahhaha... While on my way back, i keep recalling some of the good old days I spent in school with them. I remembered my friend loved the guy a lot. There was once we spent more than 3 hours talking abt her relationship. She felt betrayed when she found out her bf had another gal in mind. wah....... Cried for several hours.

Well, their relationship evenutally ended. Though after graduation, they were still an item for at least a year and half. I heard so many funny stories abt them. It's such a pity things turned out this way. I hope my friend has found her new happiness. Haven been in touch with her for a very long time. I guess its time to give a call to check how she is doing.

Its finally off day! YESH! I have been working quite hard over the last few days. Got a bit pissed with some pple. As a typical Singaporean, i wrote an email to complain about how this person handle her work. Ha.. She called me within seconds of the email was sent. hahaha... Fortunately, she did apologise for her negligence. hahhaha.. Finally, i am going to watch "If There're Seasons..." So excited... I heard the tix sold out. YAY! I got the tix!

Neighbour Boleh

Yes. Our friendly neighbour in the north is celebrating her 50th year of independence. PM and his wife are crossing the causeway and head 300km to attend the celebration. To be held at merdeka square, i believe it will be one of the best performance Malaysia will put up. I think many politicians round the region will be there to congratulate the King and PM Abdullah.

Our local media has been featuring successful story of our neighbour. Well, to a certain extend, i am quite impressed. After all, its 50 years and Malaysia has remained united as one pple. Though there are some hip cups ie former DPM Anwar sent to jail along the way, pple heart remain as one. I think for a country to progress, unity plays an important role.

There has been financial stability since 1997 economic crisis. Malaysia is the only country that implement capital control measures. The measure still stands today. Many economist believe it will fail, but it din. Instead, it work against the law of economics. Their currency are still peg to 1USD to 3.8MYR, ringgit is only allowed to fluctuate within a small range. With tat, it doesnt rely on market forces. Somehow, it works! Anyway, all the best to our neighbour! BOLEH!

Over the last few days, it was really an eye opener for me. I have been to subcourt a couple of times. However, it was my first visit to one of the courts where charges were read. The offenders were seated in a locked up area till their name are called. They will then stay in the locked up area while the court clerks read the charges to them. The funny thing that i observe is there are so many offenders lor. Wah lau. Its like every 5 mins, someone is charged in court. The judge must be very tired.

Then it was army open house. Though i was working with SR, i have never been to army open house. This was my first visit to army open house. Someone asked who should go, well, i think those with kids or friends' projects being featured should go. hahhaha.... It was not too bad except the heavy rain. There were live demonstration and mobile column parade. The only downside, you have to travel all the way to the west end to see the exhibition.

One more day to go before off day. Shall endure........

Rainy Day Hectic Week

Wat a Rainy day to start my working week! It was raining cats and dogs this morning and afternoon. If it was an off day, i think it would be good. I can sleep my way through. hahha.. Too bad. I woke up early in the morning to do contacting work. In fact, i started doing it since the night before. It's tiring lar.

As usual, received tons of calls and msges. Wah lau. I was like an operator. Call this msg tat. Aiyoooo..... Then the rain was pretty heavy when i headed to office. I was praying hard that rain may stop so that i can proceed with my work. Indeed. The rain did stop! My colleague and i were like so relieve. Heng ah!

It will be another hectic day tomorrow. I received a call quite late just now. GASP! 2 assignments. I hope everything will be fine. It will be another 3 more days before my next off day. I cant wait for the next off day. It will be time to watch "If There're Season..." I am so looking forward. Anyway, wat a day to start a hectic week!

一人一半

I have seen this song title on many msn nick and was wondering what it was. Till i experienced it myself. Yep, the latest Raintree Production <881> theme song. It is a very simple song yet bringing out the meaning of a relationship. In particular, i like 小寒. She has never failed to produce quality n impacting lyrics.

一人一半 感情不散
一人一素故 感情才会久

I watched the MV. Very nice too. Though i havent watch the movie myself, i think it shouldnt be tat bad. My mum watched it and she loves it very much. It is more of a Hokkien movie plus the Hokkien songs. That is probably the reason why it sell. Many older Singaporeans are able to relate to the show. Some younger friends of mine find it hard to understand or worse still, dun understand the movie at all. They find the songs sucky. Well, it is understandable.

As i google thru the net, i found something meaningful. I guess someone was asking wat does "一人一素故 感情才会久" means. This is what some pple interpreted. That is an interesting analysis.

爱一个人其实也不必天天都粘在一起,
偶尔给自己或对方一个空间,
珍惜对方、尊重对方、包容对方,
这段感情才会长久

Back to last nite, i tot i would have break away from the Dbl O curse. Ha... I almost wanted to pack up and leave for home from office. Then calls started coming and i went! ha... "Mei Gu Qi" hahhaha... Anyway, not many turned up last nite. I would say a peaceful nite with a few good friends bitching abt life and stuff. I will be on off for the next 2 days. Phew.. Needed a break badly. Tired from all that mad stuff.

MPs Blog

I love to read the blogs of others. While reading the lifes of others, i suddenly recalled our MPs blog. Yep. There is this particular blog dedicated to Post 65 MPs. Some articles are interesting while others are slightly propengenda. I like the article written by Baey. It is about his 10th wedding anniversary. Wah! So nice to go on a cruise holiday!

He shared some of his views on marriage. I guess many young married couples have a long way to learn.

Yam Keng: Well, don’t think I’m any expert in marriage. There were many elderly couples on the same cruise. Most have been married for 30-50 years, there was even one couple who is celebrating their 73rd anniversary! We are easily the least married. =P

In any relationship, communication is critical and we have to see each other’s strengths. What was it which attracted us in the first place, and tap on these respective strengths so that as a couple, we become better people. We also have to learn to accept each other’s differences. Something I still have to constantly remind myself…

I like to read articles writing about life and stuff. Not the hardcore political or serious subjects. In Baey's entry, if you read between the lines, you will find that Haiyan and him lead a very loving life. Envious! This is also living life to the fullest. Life after marriage is not boring after all! It is about how one put in effort to make marriage life interesting and full of zest!

Homely Boy

Stayed at home the whole day after weeks of work and outings. Yesh. It has been a long time since i stayed at home throughout the day. Had some good rest. Dearie came and we had some quality time spent today. Jordan came too. I think he really missed me a lot. He was hugging me tightly this afternoon. He asked, why am i not at home when he comes? Ha... This little imp!

I miss him badly so decided to stay at home to wait for him. True enough, he was here at around 2pm. I spent most of my Sunday working or if not, going out with friends. I think it would be good to stay at home occasionally to experience the homely feel. At night, dearie and i brought him out for a walk while we had our dinner. Wen Xin rite? hahhaha... So warmth at heart.

Wanted to meet Larry and gang initially for KTV. However, i have decided to give it a miss when i realise Jordan is coming! Din go for gym too. Ha.. Lazy and feel sleepy all these while. Feeling more refresh by now. Ha... It will be another off day for me tomolo. I will be going to the embassy to apply visa. Haiz. I thought i could get it thru online but sad to say, i was requested to visit the Embassy. Well well....

Sunday is almost over. Everyone is back to work! Ha.. I will continue my rest while i see the rest of my friends work. whahhaha... So lovely to rest on Monday. However, to be able to rest on Sunday is the BEST! Yeah! Oh yes, i am so looking forward to watch a chinese musical" If There’re Seasons" They had wonderful songs of the 80s. Yep, xinyao! Though tat is not really my era, but the songs are quite nice. Yeah!

Memories of NTU

Managed to accomplish some work today. Feel so happy after clearing up some of the work i had on hand. I have been very busy lately over tons of never able to finish work. ha... Spent an afternoon doing liasing and contacting work. It was quite fruitful. Sometime, it really gets to my nerve but i am trained to be calm.

Went back to NTU today for an assignment. Reminded me of my undergraduate days. I saw my students rushing back for home or going back to hall. Some were jogging while others were relaxing! The yunnan garden is still as serene as before. ha.. I had many fond memories there when i used to walk dearie home.

Also reminded me of the days i stayed in hall. Around 6 plus, we would either laze in the room or dinner or head to Jurong Point. ha... Those were the days. Though stressful, it was fun to live with friends and many interesting pple. As i write, i think many hostelites are awake now, playing games or chit chatting away. Ha.. However, there will be a few hardworking hostelites.

This desktop that i am using now is the one that i bought when i shift to single room on my last year. I was so excited when my dad bought a new computer with LCD monitor for me. I brought this new computer to hall. Ha.. 4 years le. Fast. Though i love working, i would miss some of my undergraduate life esp times spent staying in hall.

More Work

Busy Busy Busy! More and more work piling up and i have a lot more to complete! argh! Still surviving except there are times i may feel a bit wu nai! Nonetheless, it is only the start of the week and i have another 4 more days to go before my next off day. I need a break badly. Really. Something that i can look forward to.

Receive another red bomb from a friend. Ha.. Yep. Getting married next month and i am invited. That also means "Ang Pow" time. hahhaha... Well, he is quite a good friend of mine and i will take leave to attend. Afterall, it is near my place. I guess i should turn up. I am curious how his wife look like. whahhah....

I wanted to do a haircut on Monday when i realise my usual hairdresser is on leave. Haiz.. Have to wait till she is back on Thursday. Applied for Electronic Visa to Australia but it wasnt smooth. Damn. I was requested to go the High Commission to get it approve. Strange enough, my dad got it but not me. I will have to waste my time to travel all the way to High Comm to get it done. My colleague had the same problem too. No choice. It was a strange day for me!

City of Possibilities

This is my third involvement in this year NDP. The first time i was back in office, the second time it was at National Stadium before it was closed. This year, i came to a brand new venue-Marina Bay. This year's NDP is just like any other year. The only difference is the venue and more water activities. I am glad the committee did make good use of the river behind the floating platform.

I was running up and down esplanade as well as the grand stand. Woo.. My legs were so achy. By the time the parade started, i almost fell asleep!!! I guess it must have been too tiring to run ard. The crowd was huge. It started from 1pm. People were already at the esplanade drive bridge, outside esplanade. Most were there for the fireworks. The place became a mini picnic ground. Very fun!

As the night fall, everyone's mood change. Crowds were cheering! Oh yes. I realise there are lots of foreign workers too. Know wat i mean, yep, the contruction workers from the region :P I was at the esplanade bridge again. Poof! Road was blocked and hundreds of pple were on the bridge. Woo... Reminded me of the millenium celebration we had during year 2000.

I felt patriotic only at the time when the national anthem is played. It was pretty emotional for me, as i watch the flag fly past with our financial district as the backdrop. The " I Love Singapore" just got into me! Ha.. However, no one can still beat ah jie Kit Chan's national day song "Home". That is still the best NDP song that i love even today. It is the only song that will make me emotional! I love Kit Chan! She's always the DIVA!

Humiliated

Felt so humiliated the first time. I din know pple can be so evil. Giving attitude and super selfish. I wish him "best of luck" in watever he does. I am trying to be friendly and ask for a simple request. Din know it turned out to be a difficult task. I was shocked by the person's behaviour. I am very sure he failed when comes to teamwork. Totally flop.

Over the last few days, it was quite hectic for me. The shit has been filling in since Tuesday. Well, i was out with larry and jaden over dinner on tuesday. Then a call came and my face turned pale. To followup on some shitty stuff. argh... Spoilt my relaxing moments and have to head home quickly. Aiyooo... realli irritating...

Kaz was saying some pple deserve to be shot. I am damn dulan with the rich, probably the middle class pple. Maybe its true, they think they have a few cents to play with, they can do watever they want. Good. Now they are in trouble. They deserve it. Grill them to bits and pieces. The best is let them burnt their own fingers. Dulan with these pple.

Its another long long day. Physically n mentally drained today. Hopefully everything will work out in smoothly on the country's birthday!

Anniversary Date

Phew. Thanks to dearie, my computer has been restored without even reformating my harddisk! I dunno wat happen. I think i stumbled upon some website (not porn ok) that led me to a spam attack. This stupid website insist i must download their antivirus software to clear the spam on my com. Totally rubbish!

Anyway, its dearie and my fifth anniversary. Aiyooooo.... So sweet rite! Half a decade of love! I love the pressie which dearie had prepared for me. It was indeed a surprise for me! I have been very busy lately with lots of work and stuff. Everyday is like fighting a war. Sometimes, not even time for toilet break. ha....

We had some alrite only dinner at The Central. Well, we tot the place serve nice food, judging on the queue that they always had. I think it is just a normal japanese restaurant, not tat fantastic. Then off we went to Robertson Quay again! Yeah! Nice n peaceful by the river again. Come to think of it, we realli went thru many stuff together over the last 5 years. From school to hall to work, so many changes. I am glad we still support each other.

Then it was time for Dbl O with the regulars. It was XZ and Damien bday. Hmmm... 2 birthday cakes! LOL! Interesting lor. I had a lambo with Damien. The power of 2 guys with the same name combine. He is cool lor! hahhaha.. Then took plenty of pix with XZ. Ha... fun! wee... Ken got a bit high and was singing all the time. Same old kenny!

Oh yes. Remember abt the world being small. I met David last Friday at Jalan Kayu. Wah... He stayed in Bukit Panjang and came all the way to Jalan Kayu lor. Cant believe it. Well, he drives so i guess tat save the hassle. Then while i was on my way to work, i met Yang in his unglam state. Ha.. He was on his way to give tuition when i met him. His nerdy spec was ooooh... nice! hahahha... I guess he got a shock when i called him in on his mobile! Small world! So.. dun do something funny! You never know wat is going to happen!

I Wonder Why

There are many occasions that i wonder why some pple must behave differently when they are in a relationship. Although there is nothing wrong with being together with their bf/gf all the time, i somehow do not agree when pple start to neglect their personal friends. True enough, bf/gf may turn husband or wife and supposedly, it should be perpetual.

However, personal friends are gone forever when a new relationship begins. Sad to say, friends that have gone thru thick and thin with you over a decade vanish. The world revolves only him and her, but nothing else. All other things become insignificant. There are pple who are really hard hearted. I dun think i am one of those.

To me, i prefer to strike a balance. No matter what, time should be given to both sides. An understanding gf/bf or personal friends will appreciate. Well, i dun think many can afford to do it. Priorities are probably different. This reminded me of a friend. During a relationship, this person is like gone forever. To invite him out is like asking a god to look for you.

Conversely, when the relationship is gone, this person start to look at his/her old friends. So are we being make use? I dunno. I just find it funny. I can only say i am very soft hearted. I only remember the good things that good friends did to me. I am happy to see a changed person, or perhaps someone who have revert into his old self. Yeah! That's something that i love to see!

Decade of Celebration

It was a fantastic off day! Many things accomplished! It started with a date with dearie last night. We went vivo again! I think i am going to be a vivo kid very soon. Vivo is going to be my second home soon. whahhaha... Pple, if you visit vivo, can try your luck. You may bump into me. hahahha. Know wat, i met a colleague while chilling out with dearie.

This afternoon, met yang and jeffrey for lunch. Wow! I was late cos i overslept. Yang almost kill me but he din. whahha.. As usual, we bitch over lunch. Jeffrey had to leave early cos he still needs to go back to his office. The 2 sluts went for coffee and more bitching. whahhaha... From the conversation i had with him, i seriously think he will be very successful in the long run. Trust me bitch!

I stayed on in Marina area till Ken, Hao and Ying came at night. Yep, we had a bday celebration for Hao and Ying. Yep, more than a decade of close friends or i would say brothers. They are very impt pple in my life. From 1992 till now, we went thru many difficult times. This is probably the tenth birthday celebration we had? Well, there were certain years we din celebrate cos its either we are busy with army or overseas.

Bought a cake for them. Thinking back, i am very happy we are still in contact after so many years. They are like my family members le. hahhaa... We will be in contact perpetually even if we get married one day. We will have house gathering next time. hahha.. Visit each other house regularly with our kids. hmmm.. That's the ideal scenario in the long run. I am sure they like it too. whahha.. Once a buddy, always a buddy!
