Hello 30s! Goodbye 20s!

Woke up pretty early on the eve of the grand day to sent off a friend. Thanks KR for your pressie and everything. They are lovely. I hope he will have an enjoyable trip back home in HK. It was nice of you to meet me so early despite going home. He should be somewhere in South China sea now.

I guess the eve will be quite an exciting one. Jun will be coming over to meet me first before we head out to town. I will take a short nap too. hahaha... It will be dinner with Ken, Leon and Jun. The last dinner before i step into the 30 era. lol. Not sure wat to eat yet but i guess it should be jap food or something.

At night will be the usual session. I think this is the third or fourth time celebrating there with ken. hahahha... I hope it will be an eventful nite. More importantly, not to get drunk. lol. Well, i m not a bad drinker. I should be able to hang on till the end. Dun buy me flaming lambo or Waterfall. I will be able to last thru the nite.

The actual day will be spent working in office. LOL. Yesh, it has been the case for many years. I will keep it low profile as i work my first day in 30s. hahahhaha... Interesting rite?! More work to come this mth as most of my colleagues have finished clearing their leave and COs. Oh yes, i wish the construction site finishes quickly as the noise really disturbed my sleep every morning.

Hello 30s! Goodbye 20s!

30th Anniversary

The time has arrived. It is time to move into another new phase in life. hahha.. Dun get me wrong, i m not married yet. lol. I have left the 20 age group and move to the next one. Well, though i am always 25 but reality is harsh, i cant deny tat. I tot a lot recently yet at the same time looking forward to another new phase in life.

When i was 20, i told myself, i need to work hard to achieve wat i wanted in life. Its an impt era cos it is during this period when u finish ur basic education n embark on first career. I fulfilled my promise. I managed to get my degree as i strived very hard during my poly years. After graduation, i found a job that i liked. Well, I have always envy pple with good education n good career. I wont say i m the best but i know wat i wanted n did wat i want.

Life have been good. I managed to travel a lot in the last decade. I still remember the first holiday when i was 21. That time i went Brisbane and Gold Coast with a close friend Lincoln. Really miss those days. Nothing much to worry abt. Just do my NS then hang out with friends. Ha.. Tat reminded me of movie marathons and clubbing with Kenneth too. The first time i engaged in clubbing. Europa. So long ago...

Subsequently, it was a long vacation to London, Paris, Venice and Rome etc. JB, KL and Bangkok became common holiday destinations with Edwyn n Gavin. We will go on Saturday after class to Msia. During semester break, we will go to BKK. hahha.. So fun wor. As i embarked on my career, i started travelling even further to New York, LA and Vancouver. Really nice.

Then i first shifted house when i turned 21. I have been staying in this flat for almost 10 years. My childhood n teenage years were spent in a 3 room flat in Toa Payoh. hahha... Then again, brought me memories of all the things that went on ard my house. The mad man who kept banging on my window every nite cursing, urinating. Cats coming into my house in search of food. Lizards sleeping next to me. hahhaha... Squeeze in a small room full of rubbish with my sis. hahahha.. Cant believe it. Now i have a room all to myself.

Oh yes, i have not forgetten finding my love too. Never experience love when i was a teenager. Probably i never believe in a relationship during tat time. Wat i wanted was to concentrate in getting a degree. I am happy i found someone who is willing to share with me. I would say i gone thru a lot the last decade. I had plenty of sweet n happy moments. I do have my darkest moments too. I guess everyone goes thru the same stuff but on different scenario. If you ask am i happy the last 10 years? I would say most of the time yes.

What about life after 30? It is an era of heavy responsiblity. It will also be an impt era cos this is the time when u start ur marriage life. It is more of bread n butter issue and how to survive even without the help from parents. Defnitely not easy. And if u have a kid along the way, i guess you have more to worry. Probably less adventurous, less risk taking and more family oriented. As for career, u cant change much as you would be in the middle or senior management. It is a decade of challenges. I m ready to face it. I hope pple of my league are ready too....

Last 10 days

Back! hahha.. Many things happened over the last 10 days. The trip to KL was cool. Had a lot of Malay food this time. I think i am in love with Fried Kumpung Chicken. Really so nice. This time i also had Msian style Fish Soup. Slightly different from ours but it is still tasty. I also had 猪肉粉。Yummy! Delicious wor!

Other than the delay in Tiger Airways, the trip was pretty smooth. I wonder wat happen to Tiger Airways. Its owned by SIA and her fleets are brand new, but somehow we were delayed by an hour. No information was given and many were angry waiting on the departure lounge. Well, you have to queue prior to boarding the plane, they dun have the usual seats for you to sit while waiting for boarding.

Some kids were falling asleep and parents grumbling. I saw one auntie who came and check to see abt the status of the flight. True enough, there was a technical error somewhere n engineers were seen conducting checks. I was a bit frightened. I think its a computer glitch or something. I am curious why didnt they do it earlier? Well, i dun really know the protocol of airlines, probably any pilot friends would like to explain?

When i came back from KL, news of Jun granny passed away. I was at the wake most of the days except one cos i have to work. When she first told me the story, my heart sank a while. I just saw her during CNY and she was smiling to me all the time. She din really tok much except stare and smiling at pple. That was the last time i saw her. Well, she probably wants to see everyone before passing away. And yes, she passed away just after the last day of CNY. Popo probably wants her family to enjoy the festive season.

Then it was work as usual. Met a few good friends. Had nice chat with them. I was surprised i din go dbl o for two times in a row. hahaha. I think i m ready to cut down le. hahhaa... I slept quite early on Sat. not bad too.. lol.. More work coming soon as resources are cut. Have to work hard too... Jia you wor everyone!

Cheapo Airport

Wah lau. I really cant believe it. I checked in a less than 7kg luggage and was asked to pay $25. Reason, i brought some cleansing lotion which was not allowed to be hand carry. You would be surprised it shouldnt be the case. Well, the regulation is less than 100ml. WTF. Thanks to terrorists! If not for them, this wouldnt have happened. Grrrrrr.. I mean i couldnt throw away the lotion cos it was expensive!

Damn it la. The more i think the more angry i am. The counter staff wasnt sensitive and helpful at all. They only said so expensive and you want to check in. I asked them wat abt my cosmetic? R you going to ensure that the authorities will not make me throw away. Dun understand leh. Can these pple be more mindful. Secondly, is there a need to really charge so much. Shouldnt it be a price variation according to the weight of your luggage.

Really piss me off. No wonder luck hasnt been smooth this year. First the ICC card issue which i paid extra. Now airport luggage tax. WTF. How to save when your luck tells you are going to loose money. Sianz.... Shall cut back more on food and stuff. No more rubbish spending. I have decided to cut away clubbing expenses too. TMD. Been to dbl o so long and they still wanna charged us. CHEAPO!!!

Post CNY Celebration

Mooooo... Opps! Never update my blog like for 2 weeks? hahhaa... I have been pretty lazy to give an update of wat happen. With heavier workload and more things to think abt, i guess i m going to go bonkers soon. hahahhaa... CNY was spent working and working. Din really visit my relatives this year as i dun have that luxury.

So ended up visiting some only the last few days which is already 10th day of CNY. hahahah.. Interesting rite? I went to my auntie house today with javier. Wanted to go to another place but eventually couldnt cos Javier is too much to handle. hahaha.. I think one really need to be very very patient when there is a little kid. Feel like fainting. hahaha.. Its already so stress at work, then now a kid. omg!

Met up the NTU gang yesterday. Gavin asked if it was very demoralising to work on CNY. I told him i m already used to it. Though i dun deny i still feel a bit upset when i have to leave for work at 1pm. hahhaa.. Then again, in this bad time, wat can we do and say? Its afterall the employer's market. I just bear with it and its over.

I was compensated with a one week break. Ha.. Yesh, when everyone finishes their CNY celebration, then my CNY celebration begins! I finally had some time to gym and work out. Last week was spent working and i only gym once! grrrrrrrrr. I stepped up to gym more this week and next week. Have to maintain. I saw my cousin who "expanded" horizontally. omg. I told my mum i m not going to be like him even if i m married with kid. I will work hard to maintain lor. hahahhaha....

Anyway, going for a short trip to visit my friend in KL again. yep. Just a short one to relax and have some nice good food. Just want to relax and away from all the hassles. hahahha.. Hello KL! I m back again! :P
