Vesak Eve

Its Vesak day and i am working! Haiz.. It has always been like tat. There are 11 public holidays in Singapore. However, it seems tat I never get to rest on a PH. It is always work as usual. These are the times when my morale is super low. Although i am used to it, somehow or rather, i just feel buay song.

To chill myself and to destress from work, I went drinking with Ken at Zouk. Yep it was mambo nite too. Ken sent an invitation over the last few days and i was contemplating if i should go. I knew mambo will be crowded so wasnt keen initially. After a hard day at work, i decide to accept Ken's invitation and meet him up. Yeah! I had red wine. I think i am really getting in love with red wine too.

As expected, the crowd was huge. Every inch and corner of zouk was packed. Thankfully, we managed to secure a place at the podium. Probably it was the eve of a public holiday, many mambo lovers congregate at zouk. Met many friends! Sluttish Yang was there too. He was in his unglam wear. hahhaha... Then met ken's colleague whom i had lunch with once. I heard mulian was there too. The mambo family too.

Interesting. Well, i was very out last night! ha.. I was in executive wear. Argh. I revealed my age. Most pple there are on casual wear cos they are students! A friend of mine commented on my duh dressing! I dun care. Anyway, i am not a regular there. I dun think pple will remember me! ha.. Going off to work le. Sian.. Shall chill out in my room tonite!

Super Duper Busy

I wont say this is one of the most stressful day but it has definitely exhausted me fully. I am so freaking tired as i blog down this entry. I rushed for a few locations for my assignment. Damn. The first one wasnt smooth as we faced some unforseen resistance. I met a friend there. ha.. She is still waiting patiently as i left the place. Just when i was about to leave, i was tasked to do a followup on another project.

My fellow colleagues had to follow me all the way from Destination A to Destination B. They must be equally tired like me as well. Too bad, its our job. The good thing is i managed to secure someone to help me out. I met this nice man. Yeah! Thanks to him that made my day! I rushed all the way back from Destination B to Office. Tired.

Finally, i had one last final project before i end my working day. Argh. My previous job was halfway done and i had to get someone to touch up for me! It isnt easy when everyone is busy. I am left with no choice. Before i even take a second look at my work, i left the office quickly. I was late for my last assignment.

Thankfully, the event din start on time. Ha... As i mingled with the crowds, i had my dinner. It was provided. ha.. The chicken redang was nice. I love it. However, they run out of fruit punch :( When everything is done, it was close to 10pm. I did an amazing stunt. My colleague and I have to rush back to office to complete my last assignment. By then, i am already fully exhausted. I am grateful things went on smoothly with the help of a few pple.

Going to sleep soon. Will be another busy day tomolo. I dun have a off day on Vesak Day. Sad! ha... Nevermind. I shall endure till Saturday before i can party again!

Big Reunion

Attended Huishan's wedding tonite. Boy! It was good. I seriously believe that when a girl gets married, she is always the prettiest lady on earth. Huishan has slimmed down a lot since the days i know her. We have been very good friends since MJR days. Ha.. During her montage, i was in one of her pictures!!! ha..

I wont want to share my sec photos to pple cos i look too yucks! I almost collapse when she feature my sec school look! argh! hahahha... Cant believe i am so skinny! eek... I was weighing something like 48kg to 50kg. Imagine how i look during those days then. Like a bamboo stick. Met huishan's husband. Yeah! He remembers my name too. Gan Dong. We met in NTU during my stint as a publicity officer with NTUBS. ha...

It was a reunion of my fellow MJR classmates too. Huiyu, Shuyang, Zhongneng, Yahui, Cixin, Jinli and Ying were present. It was as if we left school yesterday. Really makes me gan dong. I miss these pple as 4 years in MJR wasnt easy. I fought hard for my O levels. Come to think of it, i knew Huishan since sec 2 till today. WoW! Near to 15 years!

Well, friends from NTUBS were there too. I met Alvin, Jianchuan and Kenny. Yeah! Kenny has lost weight too. This guy actually picked up golf as a sport. Jianchuan looks funky with his specs. ha.. He is cool! They reminded me of the days in NTU. We worked hard together to push for many events in NTU. Ha.. That was like 5-6 years ago. ha.. Well well.. Nostalgic Night!

I love meeting old friends. They always bring me tons of memories. I think we should have more gatherings in the future too. I shall wait....

Back from Retreat

I am back! Its a fabulous cum fantastic retreat in Bali with dearie. I am freaking tanned when i reached home. Ha... Cant believe it. Poor dearie got badly burnt and i think she will need some time for her body to cool off. This is the second time i am in Bali. I would say the experience is completely different. My theory still stand - The company you travel with do make a difference!

This time, besides hanging out at the beach, i travelled to some exotic places in Bali. Before that, i played body surfing again!! whahah.. I am more seasoned this round and there wasnt too much abrasion on my body. I refrained from taking too much coconut milk too. I dun wish to see a repeat of history. We swam and chilled out at the beach. The waves were so huge that dearie got so excited. hahha.. Overall, wonderful.

I went Tanah Lot again. Still the same temple. Everything is almost the same except some renovation. Then headed to Jimbaran for another by the sea romantic dinner. I really love it. We ordered lobster. Till now, i can never forget the taste of lobster. I felt like melting when i chew on the lobster meat. Oooh.... Enjoyed having dinner during sunset along the beach. After sunset, we could see the stars and sky. Wah...

Dearie and I caught another sunset in Uluwatu. Yep. I have wanted to visit the place cos i have never been there. It is located on the south of Bali. Nice cliff and beautiful ocean. The only downside is the existence of monkeys. Ha.. They are quick to snatch things from tourists. I was so afraid that they might snatch my glasses. I cant see without my glasses. Thankfully, everything went on nicely. The scenery is indeed magnificient.

Oh yes. I flew SQ. Excellent. Despite being a short flight, we have personalised TV. I am impressed. When i flew to New York last year, damn. China Airlines doesnt have a personalise TV. I almost fainted during the 14 hour flight from Taipei to New York. Service was not too bad. There were lots of expatriates on SQ. Ha... It must have been those long haul flight from Europe transiting in Singapore to Bali.

Retreat is over and i am going back to work soon. I am already thinking of the next retreat. whahhaa... I hope i will be able to travel to some countries further away from home in months to come. I love travelling!

Bali Again

Yes! The day is finally here! In less than 12 hours time, i should be able to enjoy the beautiful breeze and sun of Bali. Oohh... How lovely. It has been a year since i last went. I still remembered during tat time, i was so afraid of being called back for general elections. ha... Thankfully, i went and it brought me many memories.

This time, i am flying SQ. Yeah! Been a good 5 years since i took our national airline. All these while, i have been taking other airlines, flying like no other business. Ha... That also means i will be utilising Terminal 2. I have not been using it since i took foreign airlines most of the time. hahah... I really love holidays. Travelling has part of me. I can forgo clubbing, but i can never give up travelling.

I want to go many places, my dream to step upon the African Continent is yet to be fulfilled. I hope it can be materialised next year. It will either be Cairo, Istanbul or Cape Town. Yes. I will work hard to go to these places. So excited now!!! Well, it is also a good break from work. I need the break badly to rethink many stuff. 7 days away from work. Whoo hoo... Here i am again Bali....

Chilling out @ Dempsey Road

I was at Dempsey Road this evening chilling out with Ken at Wine Company! Whoo hoo... Wat a nice place to chill out. We ordered dessert wine which is FABULOUS. It taste sweet and goes well with spicy food. It also taste a little like lychee. Nah, its not lychee martini. Something that is good and light after a meal. It was a German wine.

I met my sister's friend who happen to work at the place. It was nice of her to give us a discount. There were also plenty of finger food available. We wanted to try top shell, however it comes in a cold dish which i wasnt very keen. So, ken decided not to order. The place is a colonial style building tat reminds me of Rochester Square.

The road leading towards the venue was pretty dark. Ken and I have to walked all the way in from the main road. There was alfresco wining too. I think it is pretty cool to sit under the moon and the stars while sipping away red or white wine. I really think it is perfect location for executives to chill out after their hard day work.

I guess i need to thank Bro John who informed me abt the place. I have been very keen to visit Dempsey Road eversince i heard of the place. The stretch of road doesnt look like Singapore. Ha... Its like living in some foreign place. The site is quiet and peaceful at night. I think we should develop more of these places for pple to chill out. Singaporeans are too stressful and busy at work.

It will be another day before Bali! Yeah! I have been looking forward since a month ago. The day is finally here! Yes. It will be another time to chill out and rethink what happen over the last few months. I hope everything will move on smoothly there while we basked ourselves in the sun sand and sea!!!

Another Weekend

Alright! Its Sunday and i am enjoying my off day! Had great fun last nite with the company of Ken and gang. Nothing much, its just the usual bitch and talking abt silly stuff. Fortunately or not, Ken wasnt drunk. We had a great time talking as we reminisced the good old days. There were lots of singing. I guess some maybe frightened off by all our singings. hahhaha....

Met up KT yesterday. Yup! That bitch! hahahha... I was asked to correct the number of times he travelled to United States. Here's the amendment pple. He did not travel 4 times to the west coast of US, instead it was twice. However, 4 remains an important figure cos he travelled to US 4 times. That also means he is RICH! hahahahah..... So plus the upcoming one, it will be 5th time. OMFG! He is going to spend almost a month there. Some pple are just so fortunate!!!!

Later at night, i met Larry and gang. We went to the usual chill out place at clarke quay. I seriously wonder why we had to sit in the alfresco area. In fact it was some dilapidated shop houses. Argh! I demand a lot when i pay. I prefer to sit in the shop cos the interior is so much cosier. We had a good time chilling out! Life should be relaxed on a friday nite!

3 more days to go before holiday! Yeah! I am off today n tomolo. So, i should have some time to do some reading and pack up. I hope things will move on smoothly. Will be back in office on tuesday before flying off. Whoo hoo... I miss my holiday so much. Its time to leave this boring place again!!!!

幸福双人床

I was watching 幸福双人床 this evening when i really cant control my tears. Whenever i see kids being separated from their parents, it is always very saddening. (is there such a word?) I realli sympathised the kids a lot. I mean it is by no fault of theirs, but they have to bear the consequences of their parents' fault.

I hate when guys commit adultery. They can literally do it when their wife and kids are at home. This is something which always break up a family. Yes, no doubt the third party is at fault, the guy can neither run away from the responsibility. Everything is just so disgusting and intolerable.

I wonder if that got to do with my age. I was telling jun maybe i have more fatherly instinct now. hahhaha... When i see the kids upset, i am also affected. It took me moments to calm myself n continue watching the show. Well, maybe its the work stress i am undergoing? Anyway, who on earth doesnt get any work stress? It is a matter of whether u you are able to control and sustain ur emotions.

Its time for me to head to lalaland. It will be another long day. Its Dbl O seventh anniversary celebration but i dun think i am going. PR has emailed and even msg me. Ha.. I think they are thoughtful. I shall give it a miss and rest for tomolo. Anyway, the party on Sat is still on. So, we shall see how things go!

MC+Work = No Peace

I have not been blogging lately. Well, its not because i am too busy with work but i am down with fever and inflammed throat. It all started since last saturday. I felt feverish when i woke up. So i decided to seek for treatment. Doc said nothing much, probably flu or something. He prescribed some medicine and gave me 2 days mc.

I was feeling better by eveing after medication. As usual, i proceed to clubbing and meet up my friends. The next morning, everything was still under control. I even ate 2 plates of rice. By night, my fever shot up to more than 39 degree celsius. My body was very warm yet i shivered. Wah... Really feel so uncomfortable. I think i need to see the doctor again the next day.

On monday morning, i went back to the same clinic. The doctor insisted it was not virus attack so he din prescribe anti-biotics for me. He suspect it was dengue. Oops. I freaked out. He gave me another 2 days mc to monitor my fever. By tuesday, the fever has finally gone. I have recovered. However, i lost my appetite. I told jun, i used to eat 2 plates of rice but now only 3/4. ha... That shows how much my appetite has changed.

Work resumed today. Gosh. Once reach office, i have been arrowed many new tasks. Sianz. hahaha... Many work still left undone and i feel stress and tired. I am away from office almost a week! hahha... Well, holiday is coming up in less than 6 days. I hope i would be able to enjoy myself and forget everything for tat couple of days!!!

2nd Day Off

The day went wrong after i had lunch with mum. I brought mum to Kovan's HK Cafe for a decent meal in view of mother's day. Ha... We had some nice food and there was a complimentary dessert for her. The food wasnt as bad as we tot. I have heard a lot of negative remarks abt the cafe. Well, after trying out, it wasnt as bad as i tot.

I travelled to Raffles Place PF with the intention of working out. I made the wrong move. By the time i reached, i was informed that the building was about to conduct a fire drill. OMG! I have only 40 mins to work out and force to leave the place by 3pm. Shit! I was pretty pissed off as there was no email or watsoever informing members abt the drill. I only found out when the counter staff informed me.

I hurried over to Vivo's PF. Then i received calls from my contact. Aiyoh. I have been contacting the person for the whole afternoon but he was not in. When he called, i din notice. Wah. I tried calling but he was not in!!! This ding dong situation went on for at least an hour. Finally got thru and things settled. Really headache... Its my off day leh...

Rushed back home to do something before meeting dearie. Dearie decided to drop by my place. So we end up spending quality time at home. That was homely and warmth. I told her it reminded me of the days when we spent our time in Hall. Ha... It was similar except without aircon. ha... Really nostalgic moments! Just me and her quietly. So nice! Anyway, its working day tomolo. Need to catch some rest le...

Strange Couple

I was at Pacific Coffee this evening when i met this funny couple. Strange enough, one was busy reading a book while the other was doing her work. In fact, the girl was tuning on to her MP3 while she wrote frantically on her notepad. The guy seemed nonchalent. He was totally engross in the fantasy of his book. Hmm...

My point is if u want to work, go back to your office. If you want to read, pls go home. They rather spent the time in the cafe doing their personal stuff. There was no interaction or talking till the girl finishes her project. FYI, both are working executives. A friend said even if they dun interact, it is fine cos they may only want the physical presence. I dun really agree. Well, i guess i am practical. Like it or not, if you are busy with work, dun bother to meet. Finish up your stuff. If i want to read on my book, i jolly stay at home in my room to read.

I was staring at them for at least an hour. While i bitch away with KT, i am very curious abt the couple. I almost wanted to go over and ask. ha.. That's me. hahahha... It is wierd lar. I cant stand couples who totally ignore the presence of the other while chilling out at a cafe. hahah... When the girl finished her stuff, the horny guy help her up quickly and gets touchy. AIyoh! Cant believe what i see.

Ok. I am feeling bitchy. ha.. Thanks to KT who made me so bitchy the nite. Ha... Yes. He is about to fly to LAX. Full of envy! He dare to tell me this is his fourth trip to the west of USA. My God! I promise myself to work harder and i want to go New York again!!!!

Sunny Afternoon

Yes it is a sunny afternoon and i am feeling so lethargic after days of rushing and working. I went Mambo last night after an assignment near zouk. Well, i wasnt really keen till a friend ask if i wanna come. Since i am somewhere near, i dropped by wine bar and end up staying for mambo. ha... It is another guest appearance!

Sometimes i really wonder. Why are there pple who need to learn things thru the hard way? I went to the prison recently and met a couple of inmates. They are normal human beings, just like anyone on the street. However, they are put to jail due to the offences they have committed. Why must they do it and eventually force to learn things in a hardway? I mean it could be moment of folly but it just upset their life! Sad!

On another note, i met Aaron from NTU. My god! He is now a PR exe with some agencies. Cool lor. He was my freshies during his stay in hall 9. When i saw him at an assignment, i was like hey, i know this guy. Then he started recalling who the hell i am. Ok.. Its either he is not a Hall 9 person or i am only a small fry in Hall. ha... Once again, the world is small!

I think i am going to catch a nap. Having an appointment later. Cannot be late. haahha.... It will be another day off tomolo. I shall catch up on my rest! ha... 13 days to go for the trip! whoo hoo... Waiting eagerly....

Another Tough Day

I suspect Blogspot is corrupted. The interface is having a severe problem whenever i log in. Something is wrong somewhere. I tried to blog a couple of time since 2 days ago, yet the problem still exist. Nevermind, I shall work on this unusual interface. I hope it will be resolved soon.

Had a great time with Kaz and gang last nite while we chilled out at a popular red wine outlet. Hahaha.. Yes. I love to enjoy life. Sipping away glasses and glasses of red wine is a good way to end the day. I have been working very hard and i should pampered myself with such indulgence. As usual, we bitch abt everything. From work to relationship to life, that's us! I post a funny qn to everyone who was present. Ha.. Interesting explanation! As for wat question i asked, well, only those present have the privilege to know. whahhaa...

Back to today's assignment. Ha. I got a shock in my life again. I cant believe how well paid staff handle important events. I understand when there are cock ups and stuff. However, i find it hard to accept when they are well paid and couldnt even do simple planning. OMG! In the end, we were rushing like mad from one location to another. It almost screwed up everything!

My heart beat furiously as every second passes. I had no mood to talk but to think of how to do my work. Wah! It has always been a good test and challenge to me. Fortunately, it went on smoothly at the eleventh hour. When i headed for dinner, i was tired and famished. I gobble down the food in like 10 mins. Ha.... So unheathly.

Nonetheless, it is going to be another exciting day tomolo. I have 2 assignments on hand. Fortunately, one of them is not urgent. The more exciting part is I am going to a restricted place. ha... I think it should be fun.... Then its OFF DAY!!!! Looking forward!

Bitchy Bitch

Wat a funfilled night! Drank a couple of shots, 2 brandy, tequila and B52. Eh.. Cant remember. Anyway, the usual gang were there. Bitchy Yang was there too. Ha... We missed him cos he has been absent for several weeks. Ken turned up after a hard day at work. I hope he enjoyed himself. Life is not about work!

As usual, we were very "gan dong" when Dancing Queen was played. From MU to Devils Bar to Mdm Wong to Zouk to MOS, Ken and I always dance our woes away. I still remember we danced alone to retro at the mini steps in MU. Those were the days. A techno siao friend sang lots of Cascada song last night. OMG! She is really a techno queen lor. I must ask Qiang to come. Then we can all party to techno songs!

Anyway, KT called me yesterday to enquire abt Eva Air. I was like... I have never travelled on Eva Air. So he was telling me he is going to LA this summer. I almost fell off the chair in bus. LA leh! Ok, LA isnt that fantastic cos the place is so congested. However, the idea to US is simply tempting. Wah... I am jealous. hahaha...

The more happening part is when he said he is going to Toronto. OMFG! Yes! How i wish i could go too. He is rich and i think it is going to cost him a bomb. Well, I am sure he can afford it rite?! He told me he worked hard for it. Ha... Me too leh. He is making me drool all over the place. I want to go US again!!! I better work harder this time. I want to get ready for my next BIG trip. ha... yes....

Travel Epilogue

It was not an easy task. Thankfully, it went on smoothly. It was like a huge relieve to me when everything is over. I left workplace before the sun set. Ha.. That's a bonus to me. I would say it is a luxury cos most of the time, by the time i leave office, i only see moonlight. ha... It can be demoralising cos you cant do much things at night.

I reached home very early. Manage to watch a couple of shows with mummy. Finally had some time to myself at night. I was preparing my travelling epilogue. Ha.. Yup. I have already done up the one to New York. However, the one to Hong Kong is lying there for almost 2 years. Ha.. So i have decided to do it once and for all.

I have decided to combine the photos from Hong Kong and Taipei in the same album. However, i only wrote a little for the trip to Taipei cos i selected fewer pictures to feature on. I have developed more photos for the trip to Hong Kong. Thus, the write up is more comprehensive. Well, maybe i am more biased towards Hong Kong. Taipei is only a so-so place for me only. I dun really adore Taiwanese food as compare to HK.

Anyway, dearie informed me that we are only 19 days away from the trip. OMG! I am so looking forward. This will be my first holiday for the year!!! hahahah... I promised myself to have a good tan and spent some quality time with dearie! Yeah... I want to fly out of Singapore asap. I need to take a break from this boring country! hahaha....

Worst Day in Life

Something is wrong with blogger. I have written one entry 2 days ago but it just couldnt be published. So the clever me, copy and paste it over to word document. SAD! When i try to copy from word document back to blogger, it couldnt be published and it keeps telling me the web is experiencing technical difficulties. MY GOD!

Well, wat i wanted to write abt is when 2 extremes meet during a relationship. ha. I guess the couple tat i am writing about is protesting? ha.. nah, they will not. After all, it is just some tots that i have about them. Very interesting couple. I shall rewrite again some other time when i am free. hee...

It has been very tough for me over the last 24 hours. I almost went berserk even to the extend of crying. Yep. When i told dearie wat happened, my mood swing to the lowest. Everyone is happily enjoying their public holiday away, while i am stuck in office and doing LOTS of challenging stuff. It is not easy to contact pple during holiday. I mean i can understand the fustration but who can understand mine?

Anyway, its over le. I think there will be more to come. ha.. I shall take it as a challenge. Well, it is a good way to learn to control my emotions too. Kaz said if it didn't bring you down, it'll only make you stronger. I remembered Qiang used to tell me tat too. Well well... Finally its an off day. I can relax a while before embarking on another challenging day....
