Welcome Home Olympians!

Its been a week since i last blog. Too busy with lots of things going on. Though i had a good 4 days off, it seems not enough. Met up some friends, some came over to chill, watched the latest tvb serial and taking care of little javier. lol. They occupied most of my time. I think if i have a kid next time, i guess i would be EXTREMELY busy too.

Caught a movie with a friend in the afternoon before meeting up dearie. Saw our paddlers as well as other representatives. Wang Yue Gu looks old on tv, however, she's not tat old in real person. hahha.. I reckon its all the stress that she had, which made her look like wat my colleagues describe as "Mai Cai Auntie". In fact, she looks not too bad, just a bit short.

Then i met Jiawei. Still as cool as ever. What should i say abt her. Many Singaporeans are grumbling over her performance. She is always impatient that probably led to her downfall. If she was as cool as she was in real life, she might have beaten World No 2 Guo Yue. She managed to catch up but lost eventually. Sad la... Her bronze medal gone!

Out of the 3 paddlers, i love Tianwei the most. She's small but damn cute lor. I met her real person and it was NICE! She has this cheery smile unlike her senior Jiawei. Many supporters gave her little pressies and even asked for her autographs. I think she's the real hero! She was the one who took the 2 point lead for Singapore. She's damn cool when she beat Koreans!

After saying so much, where did i meet them? I was in Orchard, then SSC pple were like cheering on the streets. They passed me flags and stuff to cheer the Singapore Team. They were in hippo bus for the victory parade. All olympics reprsentatives were there, including IOC member Ng Ser Miang. It was quite a nice experience cheering for them!

Then i headed to Raffles City before meeting dearie. All atheletes were there and were welcomed home by fellow Singaporeans. Teo Chee Hean was there, so was Vivien! Sad thing to say, only table tennis players, Swimmer Tao Li were welcomed. The rest of the atheletes were like.. dunno wat to do. I saw some young girls trying to take photos with our sailing guys. hahah.. Cos they were cute. Other than tat, other supporters were like bo chap the others! well well.. realistic.

Alright, going to take a rest. Hopefully, i will have more time to blog this week. Cheers!

Pro Baby Policy

It was an enlightening NDR. PM Lee delivered his fifth or sixth rally in front of a huge audience after he was sworned in as the Prime Minister. The topics revolved the media, birth rate and even graciousness of our society. hahahha.. I quite like the part on the graciousness of our pple. Honestly, Singaporeans can be damn irritating.

HAhaha... Look at how pple fight for taxis, chop tables during lunch time, park bicycle on a taxi stand, fail to clear plates, always stand near the entrance on bus or mrt. Its very true. That is wat i hate about our pple. I dun understand. We are so educated yet pple still behave in a uncivilise way. Disgraceful. I would say Westerns are better. Really. Drivers stopped for you to cross the road, they clear their plates, queue on the right hand side on an escalator. This is wat we call civil mindedness.

Then PM touched on the procreation package. I am impressed. Longer maternity leave and more child care leave. That is very impressive. I mean Singaporeans find it hard to balance between work and family. With more leave, working mothers can spent more time with their kids especially when kids under the age of 6 need more attention.

People are encouraged to procreate. However, there is still an issue tat need to be dealt with. Financial burden. Raising a kid is not as easy as large sum of money are thrown in. From prenatal checkup to post natal checkup, from money spent on diapers and food to education. If you were to add up, it could cost more than $20000.

Then responsiblity. Making a child may not be tough but many parents fail to bring them up responsibly. Eventually, this create social problem. That is why we see a lot of ah beng and ah lian on the streets. haiz. I have been to the court before. I see many teenagers being charged in court for many reasons. Sad case la...

In any case, to raise a child requires heavy responsiblity. Only when you are ready, when you have a proper plan, then start a family. hahhaha... Starting a family is a private affair. So think carefully before embarking on the next step. :P

Baby Thoughts

Javier boy has been staying in my house for the last few days. I think he is getting use to our lifestyle despite only 10 day old. hahah... His eyes are big, inherit from my family. As he grow bigger day by day, he looks like his brother. A photographer sent his photo taken at the hospital this morning. Wah! Damn cute lor. I have been playing with him too. Oooooh! Fatherly love.

My relatives came yesterday as they were keen to see little Javier. My auntie was telling me to have my own too. I was like!!! hahaha... Honestly, i think babies are adorable. However, when i think of the responsibilities, schooling, turning from angel to devils, it really scare the hell out of me. ahhahaha... One have to be fully prepared when the kid is arriving.

First, midnight madness. I realise babies often wake up during the middle of the night for milk. Some young couples fumble as they do not know wat to do when baby cry. hahaha... Well, i would say remain calm. Once the parent panick, the baby will cry louder. hahhaha... Till now, i am not frightened by his crying. Instead, i make fun of him. :X

Secondly, many pple sleep early cos of work. I have an advantage. I dun sleep early. whahahha... When pple sleep, i become an owl! ooooh. There are times when the baby cry and i will take a look. The poor mother and grandma sleep till holland liao. Then often disturbed by the baby. hahahhaha... I am still happily watching my tvb serials. hahaha.. Well, wat the baby want is milk. Give him some nice milk and he will be off to lalaland.

Enough of my rubbish. Now, i am curious about a funny report in Wanbao. Have you realise that kissing is not allowed in train?! hahaha.. Yep. If anyone kisses, you are subjected to a fine of $500. Cant believe it. Its a violation of the rapid transit system act. Wah. Chim right. If the act of the couple become a nuisance to any other passengers, they can be charged in court.

Seriously, i think there is nothing wrong about kissing lei. We are so western educated yet many still harbour oriental tots. Thats funny. Kissing is a way of expressing love. If pple kiss, you can always turn away and mind your own business. I just find it strange lor. Our lion city is full of crap at times. Boring but claim exciting. WTH!

No Regret in Life

Had a nice chilling out session with some of my friends after work. We bitched about many things in life. And we ended up debating "Are guys curious to find out anything?". Seriously, i do agree with the statement, however there are still times that you might disagree. I heard their stories and I begin to wonder, if this issue is correct?

No doubt everyone in this world is curious. But will you go to the extend to discover more? I mean you cant be so curious to find out how it is like to kill someone or injured someone or raped someone. So eventually there are still loopholes to this question. So my question is to wat extend? Their stories are interesting. It makes me understand what is life like at the other side. I mean i have never tot much about all these.

Some pple are just crazy enough to try out funny things. I dun mind as long as it it within my limit. Then again, wat is define as limit? Many pple have different perception, my yardstick may be different from yours. Eventually, there is no ans again. hahhaha... Through our conversation, i discover lots of funny n interesting issues. These are just some answers that i have never hear before. I am a curious person, i love to ask question. I love to find out life of other pple.

Though i may not lead the kind of lifestyle, but it is interesting to know how pple are living. It really brighten up my life and changes my thoughts on various issues. One thing that i learnt in life, not in class is, remain open minded. There are all kinds of pple in this world. It is becos of these pple that create a vibrant life in yourself.

We share one common tot though. We dun want to grow old and blame ourselves for not going thru some experiences. I like the conclusion that we had. We want to experience different things in life. We wouldnt want to regret in our later part of life. A comfortable and fulfilling nite indeed.

Delayed Post

Woo.. Busy busy busy... I was like so caught up with work and stuff. When i wanted to blog, i would forget and head to dreamland. I have many things to bitch about. hahhaha.. However, most of the time, it's either i forget or i am too busy. As our nation celebrates 43 years of independence, my work load also climax.

I have a few good news to share. First, is the arrival of my youngest member in my family. Javier is here! hahahha.. Yeah. He was born last Saturday at Mt Alevenia. Same like his brother. I visited my sis and her baby on Sunday. He was sleeping all the way. So lovely! I am curious how his elder brother feel like now. hahahha... I have not met his brother for like 2 weeks already. I missed him too.

Javier is now staying at my place. So nice. I was playing with him just a short while ago. Life is really so miraculous. I mean this little imp will eventually grow up to be a young fine man one day. However, the cost of raising a child is indeed a challenge. Looking at the things my sis bought, i am like.. wah... And this is the second time liao! He is fast asleep in dreamland le. Be good and sleep till morning ya!

Then its Dearie and my anniversary! wah! People, please clap and sent your wishes. hahha.. It's 6 years and i am still happily attached to her. Looking back, it isnt easy to maintain such a long relationship. It all started in 2002 during the orientation. Now is the orientation period. It brings me memories of those days.

Dearie and I went to our favourite haunt to chill on this special occasion. Nothing spectacular. Just me and her. Gossip about everyting. That's how we spent our lovely time for the past 6 years. Like wat dearie say, we must treasure our relationship. I do and i hope this will be perpetual. How many 6 years can we have? Anyway, thank you dearie for supporting me all these years. She has been the most understanding and wonderful woman i ever met. Love Always.
