I made F1 History!

I was part of history! hahahha... Yep, this is the world first night circuit street race! Its F1 history and also Singapore's history. It was good to be part of it. I got so excited when i arrive at the venue this afternoon. A non F1 or carnatics got so excited? hahha.. I also cant believe it. I guess its the atmosphere that change everything.

I realise it's really privilege to be rich. If you are rich, pple really treat u differently. Since i am in the Paddock Club, most of the spectators are high networth Singaporeans or foreigners. I was first greeted by attendants when i boarded the special bus to Marina Area. It was a free shuttle service from National Stadium to Marina. Wah. Comfortable wor.

Once reach the Paddock club, i was treated to nice juices. I got more excited and started walking round the paddock and lifestyle area. There were free flow of food and drinks as well as performances. There was also a chill out lounge. Damn cool. I walked the entire paddock club. wah. It's quite a "long" building. The view was excellent. I was near the starting point and below me was the pit area.

I could see all the actions cleary. I saw Massa car in trouble when he drove with his fuel tube unrelease. The Farrari team was like rushing to help him. Oh yes, Massa came to our suite too. Nice young man. Pretty interesting. I saw Hamiton too. It was when i tracked in the pit lanes. Paddock members were allowed into the pit lanes on certain time. I went with the sponsors and gosh. Damn nice. I took a lot of pictures!

The speed when the teams changed the car tyre or even refuelling fuel is amazing. Really fast. All done within splits of seconds. I went to the outdoor grandstand area. Wah. Shiok! The sound is deafening! But the atmosphere is good. Inside the suite, it's aircon with tv and food again. Also nice. I spent more time in the suite la. Afterall, its the paddock club. Why waste the oppt? hahhaa... Not forgetting i met PM and Teo Ser Luck too. hahaha...

It's a successful event. It did create an impression that singapore isnt that boring after all. I am surprised by how the F1 tv crew did. They shot really nice scenery of Singapore. I bet the whole world is watching especially the F1 carnatics. The next station will be in Japan. wow! hahaha... I wonder how next year will be like. I hope i will get another free ticket to the paddock again! :P

F1 here i come!

I wasted another oppt! Grrrr~ Well, an oppt came knocking at my door but i have to give up cos i am going KL to visit my friend. Dearie asked if i can forgo abt the KL trip. Well, not really leh. I have booked the hotel and even air tickets. What a waste if i dun go. The trip is to meet up friend and to chill lor. Nevermind, there are still plenty of oppt available.

The consolation is i won myself a ticket to F1 Grand Prix. Woooooooo. I have never win anything in my entire life before, not even a lucky draw. So happi this time. I broke a personal record!! It was during the lucky draw when i won the ticket. Although its a single ticket, i am still happy. After all the ticket is for Paddock Club! Once in a life time to watch F1 in an aircon suite! The ticket is quite expensive. I think it should cost more than $3k!

My friend said its like striking 4D. hahhaa. Sort of agree. Though i am going alone and not a F1 fanatic, it is still the first ever street nite race in Singapore and the world. I am looking forward. I wonder how the paddock club looks like since only the top tier gets to go! I mean pple on the street wont pay so much to be in the paddock.

I am prepare to go early to catch all the action. Hee... Let's see how it goes!! Oh i will be bringing my camera too! Take the historic shots!!

BIG Issues

It been almost a week since i last blogged! hahhaa.. I guess i am not in the past, when i used to blog very often. I am getting lazy everyday! Most of the time, i will be watching online dramas instead of blogging. hahha.. My habit for reading blog have also subsided. lol. Anyway, there are many ongoing things that are developing everyday.

Dairy Product and Milk Scare
This has been in the headlines for the past few days. Thankfully, i am not a diary product fan. I dun drink milk, neither do i eat ice creams or yoghurt or anything related to milk. hahaha.. However, the recent discovery of melamine in milk content is scary. I mean the poor kids who drank those contamintated milk suffered badly.

I cant believe the Chinese manufacturers are doing these to harm their kids. Hello! They are defenceless little kids. I pity them. Manufacturers are only concern on making money but no moral ethics at all. Its terrible. The manufacturers should be charged, the relevant authorities who allow them to carry on have to be punished too.

Financial Turmoil
After the collapse of Lehman Brothers, the entire world financial market goes into turbulence. The question is are investment banks trustable? hahha.. I mean they have got so many financial experts, paying them really high pay and yet ended up collapsing. Is there a miscalculation on financial risk or are these experts unable to detect the sub prime housing loan problem? It is of such disappointment tat such a large investment bank collapse within a day! Cant believe it. The money and reputation that have build up over the years gone into drain.

Federal Reserves approved Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs to become bank holding companies. That means the end of INVESTMENT BANKING era. omg. I still remember when i was studying, everyone hopes to end up working in investment banks. Well they reap in money so its everyone's choice. I doubt so now. Fire is already in their ass. I am just curious why the experts are unable to turn the situation around when the sub prime housing loan surface. Sigh. All the first class honours grads now turn vulnerable kids. Strange!

37.5k for Watching Porn
Sad to say, Pang have been charged $37500 for possessing pornography films. He is related to the infamous Mingyi case. He was the fourth person charged in court when they discover he had 100 over pieces of porn materials in his laptop. They were found in Mingyi's condo in Holland Road. What's the relationship between him and Mingyi has been a mystery. Other than being an assistant, are there more to it???

He is lucky for not getting a jail sentence. I guess he better be honest and turn over a new leaf. He has hurt his love ones badly. This is not the way. I hope he will realise his mistake and stop all these rubbish. Good luck Pang!

Mini Reunion

Met up with the guys from MJR last Thursday. We had a great session at Jalan Kayu. All thanks to hao who initated the whole thing. I left office earlier that day. Hao sms to ask if i will be free at nite. I was and so agreed to the supper outing. Ying joined us too. Thankfully, he din have to work late. Its been more than half a year since we met. I guess everyone is too busy with their work or life.

Hao seems to have put on weight. He complained to me that he couldnt wear some of his pants. His colleagues were also telling him he's fat. I told him to do more exercise, dun sit in front of the computer everyday. Spent some time going out with gf to exercise, will do both of them good. I mean its better than spending all the time at home.

As for ying, still the same old ying. The honest and down to earth guy. My mum keep telling me he is a very family guy. That is probably wat the girl likes. However, sometimes he is too honest. Well, if he is happy, that is good. He has been shortlisted in some international design competition. I hope he wins and fly to Paris. I have given my vote to him.

I told them abt MJR classmate Angela's wedding. Gosh, they were so excited abt the things i told them. Many have changed. Ying met yeow mei at a train station too. He said she is prettier. Hmmm. I agree and its a lot tanner. She told ying she just got married! So the guy i met last sat was her husband not bf! hahhaa..

I love meeting up old friends. I kinda miss many of my long time friends. The wedding dinner was a good time where i met at least 25 Manjusrians. Some were like we lost touch since we graduated in 1995. To see them really make my day. I think its hard for me to meet them too. Screw up time, unusual working hours. How to meet them? I even have problems meeting some other friends and dearie. hahhaha... bo bian...

The short term goal is, when is the next time i will get to meet ying and hao? Not forgetting the dual date that i wanted... hhahaha... Try my best la!

Mooncake Overdose

Mooncake Festival is here again this Sunday. My office have been receiving tons and tons of mooncakes. The first mooncakes arrive during the hungry ghost festival. hahah.. We were already munching away all flavours of mooncake. More came today from various clients, hotels and partners. We are really having an overdosage of mooncakes.

Some came with chinese tea as well. Its pretty heaty if you eat those oven baked mooncakes. Also, you feel indigestable if you have too much mooncake. So, chinese tea will do the trick. As you chew on the mooncake, sip with a cup of hot chinese tea. Pretty good. When i passed by some roadshows selling mooncakes, i am like getting sick of it. hahahha....

What we had were a variety of mooncakes. We had shanghainese mooncakes, taiwanese mooncakes, traditional mooncakes, coffee mooncakes, non-baked mooncakes, durain mooncakes etc etc. I had so many pieces that i have forgotten what i ate. whahhaha... Oh, some boxes that came with the mooncakes are nice. Really. I guess retailers are good at packaging. I guess it looks presentable when you offer it to your business associates.

I was having lunching this afternoon when the "chap chai pheng" auntie said, mooncakes these days are expensive. A normal mooncake cost $9 and that means a box cost $36. She tot that was expensive. Just one piece and $9 gone. Well, i tot $9 includes packing cost, labour cost, raw materials and other utilities expenses. hahhaa.. Not forgetting the profits which retailers hope to reaped.

Well, we do agree its only once a year. Though prices have gone up, pple are still rushing to buy it. I mean its a festive occasion, at the end of the day it is to make everyone happy. But seriously, will you buy an expensive mooncake? hahhaha... Alrite, 4 more days to go before the actual day. You still have some time to think about it! lol

Wasted Opportunity

In life, there are plenty of opportunities come knocking on your door? Sometimes, its just a split second and you miss it. It was so near and for some unforseen reason, it went pass you. Sigh. I wonder when will the next oppt comes again. I guess this is life and it always happen. I was upset when i saw a golden opportunity slipping away.

Before i sleep, i was still thinking how stupid i was to miss it. I would have taken up the challenge for sure. Well, there are some dissonace though. However, they can be overcome. It is better to take up an opportunity than to waste it. Some friends said it might be a blessing in disguise. True to a certain extend. The sad thing is to do something that you are confident is better than doing something that is uncertain.

I am confident i should be able to handle the matter well. Too bad la. The more in think the more dulan i feel. Damn. So wasted lor. I think it will be very hard for me to see such good opportunities knocking on the door again. Nevermind la, life still move on. I shall carry on my daily life with a little regret. hahahaha...

More parties to come this wkend. I heard there is a mega party at Fort Canning. The guys are getting pple to go. The theme will be red yellow green. ahhah... Red means not available, green means anytime. hahaha.. My friend said he will be wearing bright green with a sign that says this way please. hahahha.. So funni siah. I asked wat should i wear, he said i should wear the 3 colours. LOL. Good answer.

Time to work liao. Sky is dark again. Its always the case before i work. Can we have some clear sky please. I would love to swim tomolo. I missed it on Tuesday le!!! Pls....

Angels or Devils?

Judging at the number of entries i wrote, it has dwindled severly since last month. OMG! I guess i have been too busy at work and also meeting up some friends. It was Javier's month old celebration yesterday. Many relatives came and so did dearie. Javier is such a cutie except when he cries. hahahha... He wore a new sets of clothes plus a little cap lor. So cute!

I read a blog of a friend. Erm.. more of dearie's friend. She had an analogy abt kids. She babies are god's gifts to us, whether or not there are new policies, we should cherish all these little ones who came to bring joy to us really..its a gift. Hmmm... I beg to differ. To only a certain extend, she is right. I agree its a gift from heaven if wifey gets pregnant. However, whether it is a joy or not, it depends on the long run.

I have reiterated a couple of times, kids are angels when young. Once older, they can become DEVILS. They really haunt you till you break down. Of course not all will turn devils. I still believe in their character and the company they choose to mix with when they grow up. If somehow, it turn the other way, it is going to be disasterous. By that time, i guess its not joy but more of sorrow and disappointment.

Let me share with some little observations. I was on train to gym a couple of days ago. There, i notice this young girl who is like 14-15 years old. She is with her little boyfriend. Both of them are very young and i would say cuties too. The guy is cool, he was nonchalent throughout the journey. The girl was teasing him all the way with her hands touching his body and kissing his cheeks and ears. Now, my question is, if the girl is your daughter, how are you going to feel?

Are girls these days so horny? Or are girls these days deprive of sex? I mean the way she does will definitely turned the guy on unless he is a gay. Then the guy decide to have sex with the girl, in the end, the girl gets pregnant and then blame the guy. Hmmm... Tats not all. The entire family will be in shame. Secondly, can they afford to raise a kid? So is it true that their parents want things to turn this way? Definitely no. Are they bringing joy to their parents? No too.

Its a personal observation. Of course, there are still plenty of young n nice girls who know how to behave. I would call it a blessing if girls these days are really angels. If any teenage girls are reading these, please, spare a tot for your parents. They love you like the way u love ur little boyfriend. Dun hurt them.....
