Unusual Experience

For the first time, i have to go on an assignment on a ship to Semakau. Although i have been to a RSS previously, this was still somehow different. After all RSS is from Navy, what we see are just our superior weapons and defence capability. The ship i was on is more like a first class fast craft. We had nice meals on board. Sad to say, the waters is choppy and i only had a little.

Along the way, i was chatting with my other former colleague who turn colleague again. Ha... The day was fun cos i met a few friends. Interesting. The job becomes less taxing when you get to meet familiar faces. Thankfully, it din rain. Weather was good. I am surprsed we have beautiful islands too! However, our waterways are very busy.

In the midst of my busy schedule, Kaz msg to check if i am free at night. Oh well. Since i had an early assignment, i am able to leave office before 7pm. It was supposed to be a slutty nite with other bitches. Wan lan. They were either too busy or sleepy. whahha... Nevermind, the 2 usual sluts carried on without them.

It is time to sleep. Will be sleeping early cos i had a long and tiring day. Need some good rest to replenish myself for tomolo's assignment. Rush rush rush! More other stuff to work on too. Well well.... Indeed a Trade off!

Busy Working

SHIT! HOLY SHIT! I wrote a long entry and it was not reflected! I cant believe it! This is a silly blog! I have to rewrite what i have written all over again! Aiyooooooo. Waste of my time. No wonder some pple are switching to wordpress. Silly leh! FOOLISH!

Nonetheless, i have been terribly busy over the last few days. Work and more work. It is like forever piling up and never ending. I was like contacting and calling all the time. It wont stop till the day i tender my resignation. hahahah... Sometimes, i have to double work on top of my routine job. ARGH! I guess most workers are like tat. Always multi-task!

Ken met me up on Wednesday. We had a good time bitching over what happened last week. While waiting for our desserts to be served, Ken cancelled the order eventually due to slow service. ha.. Its so him! We continue bitching till the shopping centre closes. He is also quite a pathetic guy. Work so hard and always end up having no time to himself. Wat's the point of getting a high pay?

Received the NDP goodie bag today. Lots of food in the bag. There were crackers, biscuits, sweets and more importantly free battery! ha... Good enough for my mp3 player! That is only the one good thing i like the goodie bag. As for the rest of the stuff, i gave it to my colleagues and friend. I almost wanted to discard the bag and all tat toys! eeeek..... Food is better! whahahha...

Its weekend finally. It will be NDP Preview tomolo. Thankfully, i was told i am not involved! Heng! Will be meeting up dearie for a movie later. Finally! It has been donkey months since i last watch a movie. whahhaha.. Its Jeffrey's bday too. It will be a reunion of all regulars tomolo nite at the usual place. I hope it will be FUN!

Cosmopolitan Life

Wanted to turn in but felt emotional suddenly. I asked myself, am i living my life to the fullest now? In my friendster, i have indicated clearly this is my motto. However, did i really fulfill it? The question has been going round and round my mind for the last 5-10 mins. I have decided to play Sammi Cheng's Chu Jie and Daniel Chan's Bu Xiang Shui, to really think hard abt it.

Living life to the fullest does not equate to clubbing and nite life. It is about how you lead your life, not the monotonous kind of lifestyle. For example, clubbing on every saturday or to meet your gf/bf every other day for the sake of meeting or working like a robot everyday. It is about wat you have done to enrich your life.

Well, there are some pple who really dedicate their time to work, work and more work. There are also others who spent all their time with their darlings (though there is nothing wrong with that) whenever they are free. My question is, is that the type of lifestyle one wish to lead? My definition of living life to the fullest maybe different from yours.

To me, after examining the kind of lifestyle i lead. I am safe to say that i DO lead an interesting lifestyle. I am not boasting. I work but i play too. I love my work though it can be very frustrating at times. I have an interesting job scope that not many get to experience. I meet many pple daily. Pple from all walks of life, not confine to a particular department or unit. Some are fun while others can be annoying. I work irregular hours. I grumble. However, as time goes, i am getting used to it.

My free time is not only abt clubbing on Saturday. There are pple who claimed that clubbing are for pple to escape from reality. Quite true in some sense. It is one of the many ways pple choose to let their hair down. I club at many places. Many pple always think i club at the same old Dbl O. Not true. I visit MOS, Arena, St James, Zouk and chill out pubs.

I appreciate good wines. I like to chill out, either red or white wines with my good friends or colleagues. We went out on a couple of occasions. It will be bitching abt life and work. No clubbing involved. Just drinking and enjoying the taste of good wines. It is particularly relaxing when it is after work. oooooohhhhh.....

Then its about dating and meeting best friends. My dearie knows me inside out. Though we spent minimal time together, it is always enriching and fulfilling. We love to travel, we love to see stars, we love to enjoy the sea breeze, we love the peace and serenity, we love the time we spent together etc etc...

As for my buddies, it will be anything under the sky. You dun need to have 10 buddies, one or two will be fine. Ultimately, the things that that we went thru cannot be forgotten. We meet regularly to update abt our life and this shall continue even if we start our family. There are many who have buddies too, but when relationship blossom, the friendship somehow turned stale.

I travel. This has been a very important part of my life. I love to share my travelling stories with friends of common interest. I met an ex-colleague today. We share about our travelling experience. So lovely. I have many places in mind that i wish to go. He recommended me to visit Toronto one day, which Lilian also did. whahhaha... Well, i am sure i will.

Whenever i am on leave, it will be out of the country. In May this year, i have already visited Bali. In Sept, i am visiting Sydney. Yes. My second trip this year. I guess for my third trip, it will be either Hong Kong or Bangkok. Ha.. I am cosmopolitan. I simply love to see the world. It always bring surprises to me.

This is the kind of lifestyle i love. To do watever i like in a vibrant manner. Like i say, i wouldnt want to regret when i grow old. I will have plenty of fond memories to remember! I love my life! What about you?

Unearthly Hour

Working on an unearthly hour has its pros and cons. Afterall, i dun sleep early. Completing an assignment at the middle of the night can be fun. When i reached home at almost 6am this morning, it reminded me of the time that i return home from clubbing. Ha.. I guess i am really an owl. However, by 5am, i am really sleepy while i try to finish the last bit of my project.

I was at the airport to welcome two of our heros who conquer the death valley challenge last week. I must say i am impressed with their capabilities. To run continuously in 60 hours is not an easy task. They have to overcome the cold wind, sand storm and other tiredness. They gave their best shot! When they return, everyone at the airport gave a cheer to welcome them back!

I was back in office by 3am. It is peaceful at night without a single soul in office. You are able to think better and clearer. I tot i could finish quickly and rest early. In the end, i finish my stuff almost at 5am. Really tired by then. My morning colleagues were in by 4am. They were surprised to see me in the office. hahahah.. Anyway, i did the final touch up and head home to sleep.

I will be meeting one of the bitches for dinner later. whahhaha... I know you read my blog. Some rich fellow got home from LA last month. Aiyoooo.... So nice lor, nearly a month somemore. I shall see what he has to update me with his West Coast trip. whahhaha...

Happening happening

I was very awake last night after dbl o. Ha.. This is in view of wat happen last wk. I dun want to see a repeat of the same incident. The usual gang turned up except for my sluts. A colleague was there too. The music was not too bad. However, a few things happened. That really changed my views on a variety of issues.

Some of my friend's friends got drunk. 2 were down and there were 5 pple taking care. I am like come on. Do you need 5 pple to take care of 2 drunkards? Everyone was crowding ard them, running ard to the toilet, bringing tissue papers and etc. I CANT BELIEVE IT. From my observation, they are not drunk till they black out. I asked my friend is there a need? I was alone when i was drunk. I took care of myself and nobody did. He gave me a smile. ha! All these little things make me understand the meaning of life even more.

While everyone has left, some arguement broke out between a couple. I was on the verge of calling the police anytime. The guy was pulling the gf so violently that i was afraid he might bash her up. Scary. He was shouting to his gf all the time. I din know wat happen but that created a little commotion. I stood quietly and observed all these time while i collect my bag.

Then somehow, a friend of mine also got into a dispute. Aiyoooooo...... I really dunno wat to say. I was almost accuse of interfering another friend's problem. The first time i feel so ridiculously blame. ha.. Nonetheless, i was silent all the time while my friend tried to solve the problem. I tot the whole incident was ....... Really hor. Young kids nowsaday are behaving differently. Maybe i have lost touch with that group. hahhaha.... Good lar, this is something we dun get to learn in textbook. One day, you will know how to handle this kind of tricky situation.

3 First Time

First time Again! Ha.... Dun be mistaken. I had 3 first time yesterday! It was kinda of interesting cos it was meaningful and fulfilling. So what were the 3 things that i have done yesterday? ha... A visit to Registries of Marriage, KK Hospital and The Arena.

The day started off with a visit to Registries of Marriage. Yep. I have never been there before. I only get to see the place thru TV. Even when my sister got registered, i was not there. I was in school preparing for lesson or test. Was out there for an assignment. I met many young couples which were damn fun. Some were in gowns and suits, while others were in formal wear.

There was this guy with a funky hair that i almost fainted. I cant believe he is going to register with that hairstyle. I mean when his child grow up n see his dad in that state, i am sure the kid will make fun of the father. Of course, there were also older couples. Erm.. ok lar. Not that old, in their 30s. Well, tat's also the time when i plan to get married. hahahhaa....

Then headed to KK. Damn The hospital is so huge, with a woman tower and a children tower. The carpark was cute, with alphabets of animals. There were plenty of shops in the hospital. Interesting. The staff were helpful. When i reached, some doctors thought i was lost and offered help. I went to a ward to visit one of the mothers. Interesting. The baby was cute. A little girl. She was staring at her dad and mum the whole time. No crying, nothing! ha... I like this kind of baby. But then again, i hope when she grows up, she will be a good daughter. Not the rebellious type!

At night, met up a friend for wine appreciation. Had some nice white wine at the same place which dearie and i had some weeks ago. ha... Then a colleague msg me to check if i am going over to a friend's birthday. Since she is going, i decided to drop by. Afterall, the venue is The Arena at Clarke Quay, somewhere near the place i was in.

Fun lor. It was another round of gossip. More photo takings! Well, it's my virgin experience there. Quite a nice place with nice bands and good music. The entrance looks small but once u are inside, my god. There is a stage with quite a large floor area. We drank a bit while we gossip. I remember is Martell with green tea. hahhaha... I was too tired by 130am. Went for a little bite and went home!

Its saturday and i am working later. Sian! Nonetheless, i will be having a 2 days off from tomolo onwards! Yay! Can relax finally!

Young Forever

I have wanted to head to bed but decided to blog a while before i sleep! Ha... Lots of work to do today. Spent a lot of time liasing and contacting pple. As a result, i started my routine work late. I had to rush thru my work so that it will be in time to go on air. While doing liasing, i realise a former colleague of mine is with MCYS. ha.. Very interesting! The world is just freaking small lar.

At night, Jeffrey gave me a call and ask if i want to go zouk. Well, i haven been to zouk for ages, plus i just got my new Citibank Card. Its time to try the new card! ha.... Got a free entry. Damn shiok lor. Met a few friends there. Jas, Cyndi, Huixin and Garfield. It was pretty fun dancing on the podium. Met a few bitchy gays too. Aiyoooooo.....

I was introduced to Jeffrey's friend. Ha.. Then got to know my junior in NTU. My gosh! I was damn happy when she said i was a year 2 student from NTU! hahahha. Year 2!!!! Wan lan. I have already graduated since 2004 lor! She said i dun look like my age. Excellent. The trip to zouk was fruitful! I am damn bitch lar. Ha.. I mean who doesnt love to hear good things abt themselves? hur hur...

This incident somehow reminded me of another incident yesterday. I was in short sleeve to work. When my boss saw me, she tot i looked like a little boy! Shit! Should i be happy or upset? hahahah.. .Deep in heart, i feel shiok. However, i need to appear more mature so that i look more credible and firm. whahhaha.. well well... Forever young, i want to be....

Shopping Treat Again

Supposed to work this morning. However, something happened and i was given a day off. Whaahha... Great! Woke up in the morning feeling very fresh! Decided to do something meaningful on my off day. So did some liasing work while i go thru the net. Yep, watching another fantastic TVB serial, Forensic Hero! Lots of suspense.

Anyway, i caught an episode and went to town. Yay! I was so motivated to buy a wallet after seeing a friend's wallet. Well, i am not a wallet person. Since my poly days, i have not had any wallet for 10 years. I find wallet big and bulky, so it was not my cup of tea. Till i saw his LV wallet. Damn. It was more like a card holder and damn small. Wah. I like lor.

It was expensive. $200 over for a small wallet. I was thinking the whole time last nite. On the way home, i discuss with dearie. I realised there are many small wallets available in the market. Having that in mind, i went for a shopping retreat this afternoon. Went to DFS. Wah Seh! Crowded with lots of mainlander tourists! They are super rich!

I dropped by Burberry and saw their handbags and wallets accesories. Took a look and this kind auntie came and offered assistance. Professional! While looking thru the wallet, she took out one from the shelf and said this is on 30% discount. Maybe i want to consider. Wah! I love that wallet lor. Its nice with the typical burberry checkers. Before that, my eyes were on another one. That one wasnt on discount. It costs abt $250. EXP!

I eventually bought the 30% discount wallet. Ha.. Although not cheap, i still love the checkers! Shit. I had one burberry's polo tshirt tat i got from London years back. Ha... I still remember i bought it at 35 pounds! Crazy me! Its ok. Afterall, its a london trip and worth buying. hahahha... Shopping done and i feel more satisfied. Gearing up for a new work week tomolo! Jia You pple!

Be Independent

I have learned to be independent since the days when i was a kid. Probably some pple know, some dunno. I picked up many skills thru independent learning. There was no coach for me when i learned to swim. I force myself to go to the pool to see how it is like to swim. After a few sessions of continous trying, i finally learnt to swim.

For cycling, its the same too. I remembered i brought back a discarded bike and ride on it almost everyday. My parents never teach me, neither did my friends. As days go, i picked up the skills eventually. It applies to my work as well. I was not a mass comm students. For many things, i learn thru the hard way. Though there are seniors, sometimes not many are willing to help. I was independent enough to work my way thru.

For the first time last night, i felt helpless when i was drunk. Although a few friends stayed to help, they left eventually. Well, i dun blame them as they could be tired or equally drunk. However, it made me realise the importance of being independent! I stayed outside the club all alone till it closes. By the time i wake up, it was almost 430am. Not a single soul. I was feeling terrible and have to take care of myself. ha... Well, I am used to it.

The hilarious part was when this stupid girl came and talked to me. ha! She asked why i was all alone and wanted to take care of me. I cant believe it. She is equally drunk. I think she would need someone to take care of her instead. Her friends came and pull her away. Crazy. Though i was drunk, i still remember wat happened. I think i am not that drunk! Ha.. A drunkard wont remember wat happened.

This morning as i woke up, i began to recall what happen last nite. Yep. I drank quite a bit. Beer, vodka Orange, Tequila Shot, Whisky, B52! The poisonous one was Flaming Lambor! Wan lan. If i was at eski bar, i think it would be damn shiok. hahaha... Nevermind. But the experience was good. And for the first time, i merlioned since 1990. Argh! It was like a good 17 years! Cant believe it tat i broke my record. Lame.....

Taking a rest now. Will be meeting dearie and friends later. Ha! Finally a good off day on Sunday! YAY!

Overseas Again

Friday nite is media nite at winebar! I tot Ken was keen but eventually, we ended up at Eski Bar. Icy! Brrr... It was cold but fun as we chilled out with some nice beers! They had jackets for us to put on in case we freeze to death! We were bitching abt our old school days again! ha! We were in the 3-4 degree celsius room. Reminded me of the days i was in UK.

Oh yes, talking abt UK, a colleague who is there asked me to dropped by her place in scotland if i decide to make a trip there. Yep! I would love to go UK again. However, i need to set aside a large sum of money to fly myself there. A check on the internet revealed that air tix ranges from $1500-$2500. Thats exp! The standard of living is even much higher there, consider everything is in pounds! Shall think abt it.

Anyway, the trip to Sydney has been finalised. I tot i din have the chance to go. However, after much consideration, i have decided to plan the trip myself. I have bought the air ticket. Yay! At a discount! To fly SQ to Sydney! Yes! I was so damn excited when i managed to get the promotional tickets.

I am still looking for a good hotel. I realise accommodation is neither cheap. It is a choice between simple hotel or a luxurious hotel. ha! I will opt for a simple hotel with good location. whahhaa... The trip will be in September! I am so looking forward to it. I need a good break again! 7 years and i am back to Kangeroo Land!

2 Bitching Sessions

It started on Monday when i met dearie and wen. Whoooo. I had so much juicy stuff to tell dearie tat we end up in Pacific Coffee. whahahha.... As usual, gossips revolving our friends. whahhaa.. So fun lor. Some we agree, some we disagree. Then wen came and told us her "unforgettable" overseas experience. Good ah!

This evening, i had another round of bitching session. This time with Ken and Jeffrey. Before tat, i went for a swim at Hao's place. Damn good lor. There was no one in the pool! I was all alone to a 8 lane pool. Fantastic! No one was there to block my way. I enjoy the peace while i swam laps over laps. If it was hougang, i think the pool will be crowded with kids!

Met the gang in the evening. It was bitching cum waffles tasting session. Cheap! Half price only! whahhaha. So we ate and gossip again. There were many breaking news tat shocked Ken! ha... He has been too busy with work and miss out a lot. I updated him tons of information! whahhaha... As per se, i brought my camera and was shooting again! woot!

I really had a good time over the last 2 days. Honestly, i wasnt feeling good on Sunday. Something is wrong and i couldnt point it out. Anyway, everything became better on Monday and meeting up with dearie. Its work again tomolo! It will be work and work till sat. Sianz!

Retiring from Scene?

I have been thinking abt retiring from the clubbing scene lately. Well, there are several reasons to this. First of all, age is really catching up. In a couple of years, i am turning 30. It is time to tone down. No more hard core clubbing after years of dancing. I am getting tired over the songs that i hear everyweek. I guess its time le.

Secondly, an unexpected event took place and that had probably speed up the process. Someone asked if it's worth it. I tot abt it seriously. Some may think i am stupid but that isnt the case. Clubbing should be a happy occasion. In the past, i realli enjoyed myself with my friends like Ken and Gavin. We dance to the music and gossip after the usual dance. Things have changed over the last few months.

Last night, for the first time, i took a walk along Robertson Quay after clubbing. I asked myself why did i feel dissonance after clubbing. It has never cross my mind in the past. It is always high and happy when i leave. However, this time, the feeling isnt there. Conversely, i felt very uneasy. What could have happen? The sense of dissonance is freaking high.

Lastly, the pioneer members of Dbl O are cutting down their trip there. Ken is always busy with his work, while Gavin is taking a back seat. I tot well, maybe i should too. The rest of the gang can still enjoy themselves despite our absence. I can see they are having fun I could quit with ease. I dun wish to be blamed buay swee.

I guess the toning down process shall kick in slowly. Afterall, i have been clubbing consecutively on every saturday for the last 2.5 years. It is time to look for alternative. Maybe movies or merely gossip with friends. Haiz. I forgot i have a unusual work schedule. Ha.. I guess its time to head home for more sleep! whahhaha.....

Robertson Quay

I love Robertson Quay. Yeah. The place is so happening yet peaceful. On one side, business is bustling with crowds, cheering for soccer teams or mere chit chatting. On the other side, it is quiet, with passerby strolling. The feeling is different. The plus point, when the one you love is with you to enjoy the tranquility.

It was my off day. Went to the tour agency to check out for my upcoming trip. Sad to say, most of the flight to Sydney has been fully booked. Haiz. I will have to pay more for the trip. I dun feel like going after talking to the agents. SQ is fully booked, i have to take QF at a higher price. If that is the case, i rather stay at home.

Headed to the gym for some cardio. Damn. Been a long time since i run. oops! I really sweat it out. I wanted to go for a swim initially but was too troublesome carrying all my barang barang ard. Ha. Finally met dearie at night. I tot we may cancel our date cos she is too tied up with work. We chilled out in TCC at Robertson Quay.

Nice nice. It was pretty quiet initially till a bunch of party goers came and disturbed the serenity. whahha.. Must be going to Dbl O. Wahahaha... Before heading for home, we relaxed a while along the bank of Singapore River. Quite nice. The weather is too warm. If the temperature is 10 degrees lower, i would love it.

However, the night is breezy. Not too bad. At least we can enjoy the nite with some nice breeze. I love the company and everything. Life can be simple and fun!

Friends in Unity

Very eventful day. It started with meeting up my old time buddy lin. GOSH! Still hip n trendy, with very nice tshirt and jeans. Thats him! I love meeting up my buddy. It has been over a year since we met. We were too busy with our life. I miss the days when we worked at SR. Though he is back in SR, i am no longer there.

There were so much gossips lor. Some of which are really beyond my imagination. Cool! We chilled out a while at Tiong Bahru Plaza. I am happy to see that he is leading an eventful life. Though there are ups and downs, i always believe that you will be able to overcome as time progresses. We should meet up more often like wat we used to do.

Then it was another friend sg. I am honoured to be invited to a pool near SR. whahha.. Damn. Never been there eversince it opened in 2004. I still remember i was in SR when it first opened its door. As usual, bitch and bitch. I manage to swim 10 laps. whahha.. For someone like me who haven swim for ages, it was pretty good.

At night, met up Kaz and gf for dinner while waiting for my bitches to arrive. Opps! I guess the gerdas will bash me up for calling them bitches. Things got almost out of control when the 2 gerdas arrive. GOSH. It was crap, crap and more crap. However, i love the bitching. Fortunately, Kaz and gf were not disgusted. whahhaha.. If not, it is so paiseh.

We continued our bitching thru the nite after the couple left. omg! OUT OF CONTROL! Non stop rubbish and crap. Though we also share some other personal thoughts, we had a good laugh at it. whahhahaha.... Kinda of miss them after not able to see them like we used to in school. One of my happiest day in life was to crap with them in NYJC. Those days were so fei and lame. Wang Shi Zhi Neng Hui Wei!

Half A Year Gone

Its the first day of July and many regulations and events are taking place. Like last year, i have decided to highlight a few important occasions. This is the first day of the second half of 2007. It was fast. I still remember celebrating countdown at Expo. Now, its already half a year gone.

Attended 2 Weddings too. Whoo.... One was CK. She was so pretty lor. I love the ambience in Chijmes. Classy and elegant. Prefect location for weddings. Imagine getting urself married in a symbolic n historical venue. Its nice lor. I really like the place. Met a couple of my former colleagues. It was like a class gathering of SR. OMG. I miss them so much! Too bad Camie couldnt come back in time.

Then it was a colleague wed at Furama Hotel. Cool too. The couples really had a good time. The "saboing" part during the day was funny. Interesting. I guess it is fun to do something crazy during ur big day. Well, the requisite is when both parties agree to it. Ha.. Of course not too over the board la. Anyway, I am very sporting de. whahhaha....
