Dragonboat Inquiry Report

I am saddened and disappointed by the Safety Inquiry Panel report on the death of 5 Singaporean rowers who lost their life in Cambodia. I agree that "No single factor responsible for dragon boat tragedy", however, i still believe that someone must be held accountable for the entire incident. There was no proper apologies which i find it unacceptable.

It was mentioned that all the rowers put a vote on whether to compete in the race after accessing the risk. I am SUPRISED and SHOCKED that all agreed to go ahead. Hello Singaporeans! Are you so garang or gungho despite of uncertainties? I have always tot that our fellow countrymen are "kiasu" and "kiasee" but in this case where have all these element gone to?

The captain could have veto but agreed to go ahead. Is that the commanderie spirit that they should have? Seriously, for everyone's safety, even if every member is ready for the race, someone put a veto, which may end up this person being the "kiasee" guy, no life would have been lost. Why are the guys so persistent on the race? Is it true tat Singaporeans must win and can never have that "dun say die" attitude? Honestly, i am disgusted.

Whenever i read the stories from the 5 rowers' parents, my heart sank. They have lost their kids in a minute of split seconds after 20 over years. Who would be able to accept it? During the briefing, one family actually shouted "my son lost his life just like tat?". I would have cried when i hear this. I watched their vodcast earlier. I just feel sad for the parents. How in the world could they tie over this crisis? Excuse me, 5 life from 5 families!

My god! No one is held accountable! I guess with such an accident, when our teams go for any international competition, PLS PLS PLS, dun be garang. With recommendations made, do study them carefully before deciding whether to participate. It is ok if you dun participate, no one will blame you, but if someone lost their life, i still think somebody should take up the responsiblity.

Simply Guys

Attended a briefing this afternoon. Boy, i met many familiar faces, pple like boon, kar huat, tim and fellow colleagues. Left quickly once the briefing ended. Headed to vivo for workout. hahha.. Have been eating quite a bit lately. Time to work off the extra fats. hahaha... Then i realise, is this a tabs day? hahhaa... Honestly, there were plenty of tabs parading around.

Well, i continue to work out as i laugh occasionally. Ok. I am not mean, my dear gay friends. hahah.. I am always gay friendly. I think there are at least 10 of them? Probably i am wrong, some may not be. However, i look at the way they walk and talk, i guess they are. Since it was GSS, i decided to shop a while too.

Wow! There were many tabs again. This time walking ard Tangs! whoo hoo.. hahaha.. Boy. They really know how to dress. I must admit our tabs members have excellence dress sense. Straights especially guys are such a disgrace. But then again, a lot of straight guys are now metrosexual which is good. I mean we should dress la. On the train back home, aiyoooh, i saw a few guys hor, really leh, no wonder gays like to laugh at us. Its true!

Back to them, i walked around tangs and they were playing tabs song!! hahah.. Then being a kaypoh, i overheard someone buying CK underwear for HIS BF. :P hahah.. I almost burst out laughing but manage to remain compose. Wah, the guy is so good, buy his bf CK underwear. I tot wow, where are there so many tabs in Tangs? I guess St James is probably holding an event for them? hahaha...

One more day to go before the retreat. It is time le la. Have been waiting for this day since last week. So tired from work and i should take a good break these few days. I am looking forward to my weekend, wat abt u?

Civil Servant Bonus

The civil servants are getting special bonus again. Haiz. It must be them all the time. I have been wanting to work in a public sector for so long but no luck. They are always receiving good payment but pple like us in the private sector are getting peanuts. haiz... The world is just simply unfair. I guess this is life and we have to stick to it. A friend was ranting at me when he found out that civil servants are getting bonuses again!

Life been pretty busy lately. Dearie said i work a lot harder this year. So many things to do and to cope. After thinking thru, i think quite true. I have been a lot busier the last few months. It seems tat the longer u work, the more responsiblity bestow on you. :( However, no pay incentive. It is kinda of sad. Work hard pay peanuts. No choice. Its either u take it or leave it ba.

Weekend is coming. Though is mambo, i chose to relax at home after 3 working days. It will be 3 off days too. YEAH! Although i have a meeting tomolo, it should be quite an easy one. After which, i shall relax n look forward to the retreat. Yep, having a mini retreat with dearie in view of her birthday. Nice hor me. hahhaa

Wanted to continue to blog, but someone always bombard me when i blog. aiyooo.... Its ok la. Since most of the time is abt gossip, i dun mind to gossip after a hard day at work. :P Shall update the blog after the retreat. It should be fun!!

Dbl O Anniversary

It was Dbl O's 8th anniversary celebration on Friday and Saturday. It was damn fun! Really! After a hard day work, all my "crazy" friends came and it was dance n partying! There was free flow of housepour on Friday. The crowd was freaking drunk when i reached at 11 plus. OMG! There was a long queue! It was back to the good old days when i used to queue like 20 mins before getting in.

Larry, Ken, Ges and Adrain were there. Then i met Joelle. hahhaa... She is different now. I mean more demure and pretty... :P I got in eventually after i took a short cut from O bar. Quite a good turnout. I guess the celebration manage to draw in crowds. I went up the podium once arrived at dbl o. Ken and Ges came over. We partied to boy band's song. While i bought 2 jugs of housepour, Ken went home. !!!! The queue was long and i waited for like 15mins before it was my turn. He msged me but i failed to read the msg. He tot i went MIA, so decided to go home.

Well, i stayed back with Ges and Larry. It was then when i met Larry's friend wenxiong. hahha.. Interesting fellow! I was then introduced to Adrain's canadian friend. wah! One of them is a babe. We tok abt Canada and i told her, i love the country! I wouldnt mind getting a canadian citizenship. :P Ges drank too much and puke while we went for bak gu teh! So dirty. Puke next to me. I am like ?!?!?!?!

The celebration continued on Saturday. This time, the entire gang came. Ice came back from China, Irvine came despite yang absence. hahhaa... All came except Leon didi! Oh man. I miss him! So did the rest of the gang! hahha.. It was dancing to retro this time. David bought light stick and make everyone wear! so nice of him. I guess other patrons of dbl o may think we are insane. hahah.. Honestly, our gang are more united than the mambo family. Crazier! hahahha...

Back to a serious topic, "who won Pedra Branca or Pulau Batu Putih?" ahahahaha.. Yep, some rocks at some strategic location. Everyone is talking abt it in office. We challenge our malaysian colleagues while they challenge us too. hahahha.. It was a friendly discussion. Have you ever wonder, will Singapore ever merge with Malaysia again? hahahha.. From Pedra Branca to merging as a nation? hahhaha.. Yesh.

I thought abt it seriously. I mean in our lifetime, it may not happen. However, 80 years or 100 years down the road when Singapore's land is fully exhausted. What is going to happen? We are definitely limited by our land capacity. When you cant expand, wat can you do next? Once fully optimise, our economy reaches a saturation point, the next alternative is to merge? hahhaha.. Do think abt it. It may jolly be an important decision for all Singaporeans in the next century!

Fragrance Prince not Fragrance

I have not been updating my blog recently. hahaha.. Well, too tired and lazy. Shit, my passion to blog has died now! hahaha... Well, i guess work is part of the reason. I am pretty tired after every other working day. Once i am back in my room, it will be either reading or watching TVB serials, i dun have the mood to write! haha

I have decided to write cos of the racist blogger. OOH! hahaha.. Taboo topic. In Singapore, any kind of offensive remarks posted online is an offense. This stupid blogger, who called himself fragrance prince wrote a very negative comments on other races. Yep, any racist comment cannto be tolerated and this spark off war on forum.

Police received reports and started investigating. True enough, the blogger was caught and is now in deep shit. He faces a penalty of up to 3 years imprisonment for posting such comments. I remembered reading in an article when he said he din meant to. Ignorance! He said his blog was for his friends and family members, as well as to improve his writing skills. Crap reasons. Any thing written online is subjected to netizen scrutiny. I mean anyone can just read unless he password protect it.

Please la. Be a responsible blogger when u go online. You have to be responsible for wat u say and wat u wrote esp on virtual space. Black and white, my dear fragrance prince. Oh yes, i think he is gay. I read somewhere in a forum calling him a disgrace to the gay community. hahaha.. I think so. Total disgrace. My colleague and i were gossiping and laughing lor.hahaha.. The morale of the story, be careful of what you write in a blog!

Late Update

Shit. I am lazy to update my blog. Its almost a week and i finally add to my latest entry. Well, it has been a tough week. The Quake in Sichuan is devastating. I read many stories everyday, sometimes, i feel sorry for them, sometime i cried for them. They lost their home, their work and even their love ones. I wonder how long it will take to rebuilt thousands of homes.

On a lighter note, i was out in Sentosa last Saturday. Gosh! Freaking tanned. hahaha. Some of my colleagues came to me and asked if i went suntanning. hahhaah.. Partially true. The day was well spent in Sentosa. We went to KM8 with more than 10 pple from the dbl o gang. David was damn high. He was singing and dancing, making the mood so different. We played many games too. hahhaha. Some were damn funny!!

At nite, it was the usual session. I met Eric this time. Yep, he brought a female friend. We drank quite a bit. He was damn high by 2am. We danced and he was like hugging me a couple of times. I tried to make fun of him and his girl. Wau lau! Funny lor. I agree, i was quite bitchy. Honestly, we enjoyed ourselves. We drank blue mountain, sex on the beach, tequila pop, vodka redbull and hoergarden. :P

This few nites were spent gossiping. I was talking to a friend abt work and stuff. It was really a long coversation. It started from 1230am to 330am . DAmn! I cant believe we had so many things to bitch about. I guess we are just too tired with wat is going on in our life. We need to tok to release the tension that we had. hahha... I felt so much better after toking. I had a good sleep after that. hahhaha... Its my off day again tomolo. Finally... Time to take a break from work...

Sichuan Quake

The major earthquake in Sichuan China shocked the world. At a magnitude of 7.8, several hundred thousands of pple lost their life. Many Chinese remembered the 1976 Tangshan Earthquake that killed more than 100,000 pple. This time, the earthquake is equally deadly n severe. PM Wen Jiabao had to make his way to the quake zone to coordinate the rescue effort.

I have been following thru the news today. CCTV and Taiwanese media has been running full bulletin round the clock, featuring abt the quake. Reporters from Taiwan, Hongkong have flown in to give a more international coverage. I am sadden by wat i saw from the various overseas media. The pictures are really devastating. Buildings collapse, road cracks, landslides, pple roaming in the streets! Many victims are trapped below the rubble.

Many pple are crying for help. I saw many kids trapped under the rubble, waiting for rescue. Hungry victims were grabbing for food to eat, while some tried to hop on the bus to leave the city. Can you imagine an entire city turning into hell? This is wat we see. I cant help but feel very sorry for all the victims.

Now, many pple have argued if their experts and technologies are well developed to detect the earthquake early so as to prevent more casualties. Surprisingly, it din. More resources have been channeled to economic development. As a result, there was no proper system to do a check. China has been badly hit by catastrophe this year! First it was the half a century worst snow ever experience in China, then HFMD outbreak, now earthquake.

Not to forget, Tibet protest have marred China's effort to host the Olympics in August this year. When the torch went round the globe, many protestors took to the streets to get rid of wat some described as the "evil" flame. With all these going on, i seriously wonder if China is able to handle. It is major test put to the newly elected Chinese Government under Hu Jintao's rule. It will probably take sometime before one can rate their capabilities!

Peranakan Museum

Freak! I lost my entire entry again! I should have saved it. TMD! I have to rewrite the entire entry again. Damn! Nevermind, since i am in a good mood. I had a lovely weekend. It all started since Friday. Ken asked me out for a drink on Fri evening. Since i had nothing better to do, i went out with him. We drank and gossip till late nite.

It was dbl o as usual on Saturday! David is back! Oh man! Everyone missed him badly. We gave him hugs! hahha.. He flew down to Dbl O once he arrived in Singapore from Taiwan. It was nice of him lor. He msned me the other day to remind me to turn up. hhaha.. He even wore the present ken and i gave him during his bday. :P We partied and had our usual bitching session. Most regulars came. Lovely nite.

This afternoon, i went on a field trip with Leon didi. He was on an assignment while i took the opportunity to tour the newly opened Perankan Museum. I am impressed by the exhibits. The ambience, interactive artefacts differentiate itself from other museums. Well, most museums give pple the impression of dull and boring. The Peranakan Museum is so unlike the others!

I love the colours they used. The exhibits are interesting! You can even get to touch some of the exhibits. I met 2 of my colleagues, one was just visiting while the other volunteered herself as a guide. Wah! I guess we need volunteer to guide us ard so that we would be able to appreciate the culture and history of the Peranakans better. Oh yes, the museum got some actors to walk ard the museum in traditional baba-nonya wear to interact with the crowd. Amazing! Honestly, it

The only downside is the poor management on the guided tour. It was pretty disorganised when no pple know where to gather or wat to do before the tour started. I guess there should be better signages or instructions so that pple would know where to go. We are reshaping our country into a tourist hub! If nothing is done, i think it is terribly disappointing.

Enough of bitching, this is just the beginning of a 3 off days! whahhaha... I should be able to catch some good rest again! It feels good to rest when others are working hard. hahahah.. Ok, i know some fellow friends will fire me. hahhaa... Had a good time over the weekend. Lovely and well spent!

Mambo Adventure

More off days given to me in lieu of public holidays! hahaha.. Well, i dun get to rest like most pple during PH. We work 7 days a week, 365 days a year, similar to 7-11! haha.. But i am not working in a convenience store. I was like wow, to work like 3-4 days a week. Quite a luxury! I have more free time to myself.

I was off on Wed again. So this time, met up with a few friends to gossip. wah lau. Women really gossip a lot! hahaha.. No wonder there is a chinese proverbs tat say, never offend a woman. It's true. I was bombarded with many stories and gossips! Well, personally, i am pretty gossipy too. I think that got to do with my work nature. hahaha.. So i enjoy listening and sharing gossips too!

Ken invited me to zouk. Met up with some of the regulars. Yang, jeffrey, cindy, jaden, mel were there. Most of the mambo family are there too. Saw Andrew and cindy with jasmine. haha.. As usual, everyone dances to their heart content. Halfway thru, a fight broke out. One of the mambo regular fought with a "ah beng".

That "ah beng" looks LC and have tat "slap me face" looks. hahaha.. He started provoking the regular after the regular kicked on him accidentally. Aiyoh, dancing ma, why take it to heart. Everyone is there to enjoy lor, not to stir trouble. The regular's action slightly bigger than others, so he kicked on the "ah beng". He apologised to him immediately but "ah beng" refused to accept and started cursing him.

"Ah Beng" then dragged him off the platform and the fight began. 6 bouncers came to stop the fight. Aiyoooooooo.... The poor regular was pin on the floor, all his cards fell off. So unglam. As for the "ah beng", his friend and bouncer tried to stop him from fighting back. There was also a girl friend lor. Standing there like an idiot. Her friend is on the verge of fighting, she could have ask the other guy to pull him away. Wat she did was to stand there, give that idiot face and provoke! Woman.. aiyoooooooooo.....

I burst into laughter when the bouncer threw them out. hahha.. The regular came back eventually. I think he loves mambo a lot. Kanna whack liao, though at no fault, he still had the mood to dance. I would have gone home. hahhaha... So crazy. FYI, i was somewhere near the regular when the fight broke out. hahha.. I almost wanted to laugh my heart out. hahhaha.. Shit. i am evil.... Fighting in a club is simply childish to me. Nice view, too bad i should hv shot with my camera and upload to watever tube! hahahhaha....

SUN-day

Finally time to blog! Been feeling tired over the last few days due to MC. hhaha... Felt a lot better today liao. Was out partying last nite with the gang. Prior to tat, i was working and honestly, i was still feeling sick. I was coughing all the way cos my throat was itchy. Dearie met me and said my voice still sound wierd. Must be the running nose too. hahhaa...

Enjoyed myself at the retro party last nite. Damn! Some friends were damn high and were making fun of pple. I drank a bit and felt better. My cough stopped almost instantaneously. hahha.. I suspect the alcohol might have killed the virus. hahahhaa... We drank, dance and gossip. Leon didi finally came as he was procrastinating whether to come. Fun la! Put tie some more, steal my trademark liao! hahahha....

Headed to gym today since i have been missing my gym routine since 24 April. hahhaa.. There were more machines in Vivo PF. They were old machines from Far East Square. Damn old la. Looks rusty to me. PF have shifted out from Far East Square to a new venue this mth. I think they probably hv no place to house the machine and shifted some over to Vivo. The place looks cram and unsightly with all the old machines. Feel very strange with little space.

It was quite crowded when i reached. By 6pm, most left for dinner. I continued before i met dearie and her mum. hahhaa.. Quite a peaceful nite as we walked ard Page one. Ges said i should hv gone over and say hi to him at GV since he's working today. hahha... I will la. Some other time! Just finish supper and its time to relax a while before sleep. Another off day! :P
