Efiling Problem

Was efiling for my dad and uncle for their tax return when i encountered this problem. I have been efiling for them for many years eversince IRAS launch its online Form B1. It was pretty easy and convenient over the last few years particularly after IRAS had a tied up with most organisation. In the past, most employees need to declare their income after receiving Form 8E from their employer.

Eversince the tie up, employees need not declare anything since the income has been forwarded directly to IRAS. Unless u r some sole proprietor or wat, it is pretty simple to efile ur returns. I was once a student volunteer for IRAS. I still remembered filling up Form B1 manually about 8 years ago. For now, technology has made way for manual task.

There was another revamp this year. Surprising, the IRAS server got "cock up" and i had a hard time logging in. Not only to that, the server was very slow. Previously there were no such problems. Even if u manage to log in, u may get booted out or worse still, submit ur tax return halfway and got hang. That happen to me. My god. I emailed them and this was wat i received.

"We have received your email. Due to the overwhelming volume of emails received, we will not be able to advise you immediately. However, we willtry to respond within 5 days to requests for tax form or IRAS (e-Filing)PIN. For all other queries, we will try to respond within 2 weeks. "

Cool rite?
