Tsunamis 1st Anniversary

Came back from my workout from FF. Went shopping before that. I was procrastinating whether to buy a shirt for myself as a New Year Present. hee... Anyway, saw Fann this afternoon. Hmm... Indeed a pretty girl. Her complexion is particularly good. I wonder why some pple are just so fortunate and lucky. Me? aiyoh...

Tuition was ok. Gave my student some work to do. Receive my tuition fee. That also means extra income for this month. I find that giving tuition is a good way of getting extra income. At the same time, u are given the oppt to work with student. I find it quite fun. However, there is downside. You feel the stress if the student is unable to comprehend.

It was Tsunamis first anniversary yesterday. Areas that were hit by the killer waves held memorial services. The courage, resilience from the people made them grew stronger. People are more united and closer. People gathered in remembrance for the dead. It was pretty emotional. Strangely, in Phuket, there were more foreigners. It seems tat once again, pple focus their attention on the westerners.

What abt the locals? Thai? Sri Lankans? Malaysians? Indians? They were equally devastated. I mean their homeland were gone, loves one were killed. They are pitiful. Thankfully, international community is pouring in help to tide them over the crisis. As a citizen leaving in a peaceful country free from natural disaster, i feel very fortunate. Afterall, Singapore is a place to call home.
