Neighbour Boleh

Yes. Our friendly neighbour in the north is celebrating her 50th year of independence. PM and his wife are crossing the causeway and head 300km to attend the celebration. To be held at merdeka square, i believe it will be one of the best performance Malaysia will put up. I think many politicians round the region will be there to congratulate the King and PM Abdullah.

Our local media has been featuring successful story of our neighbour. Well, to a certain extend, i am quite impressed. After all, its 50 years and Malaysia has remained united as one pple. Though there are some hip cups ie former DPM Anwar sent to jail along the way, pple heart remain as one. I think for a country to progress, unity plays an important role.

There has been financial stability since 1997 economic crisis. Malaysia is the only country that implement capital control measures. The measure still stands today. Many economist believe it will fail, but it din. Instead, it work against the law of economics. Their currency are still peg to 1USD to 3.8MYR, ringgit is only allowed to fluctuate within a small range. With tat, it doesnt rely on market forces. Somehow, it works! Anyway, all the best to our neighbour! BOLEH!

Over the last few days, it was really an eye opener for me. I have been to subcourt a couple of times. However, it was my first visit to one of the courts where charges were read. The offenders were seated in a locked up area till their name are called. They will then stay in the locked up area while the court clerks read the charges to them. The funny thing that i observe is there are so many offenders lor. Wah lau. Its like every 5 mins, someone is charged in court. The judge must be very tired.

Then it was army open house. Though i was working with SR, i have never been to army open house. This was my first visit to army open house. Someone asked who should go, well, i think those with kids or friends' projects being featured should go. hahhaha.... It was not too bad except the heavy rain. There were live demonstration and mobile column parade. The only downside, you have to travel all the way to the west end to see the exhibition.

One more day to go before off day. Shall endure........
