If you haven been to Opera House and Harbour Bridge, it means u have not visited Sydney. Ha... After the enchanting trip to both landmark, it was time for some good rest. The hotel that i booked was a decent 4-5 star hotel. The location and the facilities were good. I like the interior decoration, very nice. As i reached the hotel early, i had an early check in. The kind receptionist gave me a deluxe room. ha... The room was bigger than normal and perfectly comfortable.
On the second day, it was time to move inland. I wanted to avoid the wkend rush to Katoomba, where the Three Sisters stood. Being a veteran on travelling, I knew it would not be good to fight with the local crowd. Headed to the train station and took a 2 hour ride. I would call it country side of Sydney. It is located more than a 100km from city.
Once reach, you get to feel the cool breezes and lower temperature. Well, being more inland is cooler, secondly, being located at some 1000 feet above sea level did add to more chilling experience. Thats wat i love. Our weather back home is simply too hot and humid. Very bad to me esp when i had oily skin.
Met lots of other tourists too, from Mainland China to Koreans. There were many students too. Sometime, i wish i was a foreign student too. Then i would get the chance to move ard to many places. Sad to say, i am only stuck to NTU, the concrete jungle in the west. Big groups of undergraduates were taking photos plus having fun. Envious!
Blue Mountain is indeed magnificent. The area is indeed a miniature of Grand Canyon. I can feel the beat of Grand Canyon. Manage to take a couple of pictures of the waterfall. Well, it cant beat the one in Yosemeti USA. We did some trekking through the thick forest. It was damn fun trekking through the forest at a low temperature. Its like walking in some woods as written in some novels. hahhaha.
Had afternoon tea along the quiet town of Katoomba. Nice little cafe perfect for a short rest. It had a nice interior deco, cosy setting with excellent food serve. It is just the perfect place to sip a cup of tea while enjoying the crowd on the street. This is LIFE! This is the perfect getaway for Sydneysiders from the busy working life. Relaxing! Too bad Singapore cant get to offer this. Haiz....
More updates on Part 3 coming up next. I need to handle some unfinish work from last week. Sianz. Anyway, the leave shall continue till i am back to work on friday. So happy!
