Halloween!

Its the last day of October and yes, its Halloween. Have you ever wonder why the the "ghost" festival of the west is so widely celebrated? It seems like a party rather than some rituals. This year's Halloween is well celebrated here in Singapore. It started since last Saturday. Many clubs had the halloween theme. However, Dbl O din. They had their halloween party today.

Well, that also means, i missed the fourth Halloween Party at Dbl O. Well, over the last three years, it was held on a weekend. I dun understand why this particular year they have to hold it on the actual day. I mean it might be difficult to get the crowd on weekday except Zouk. After all, it is a school day and working day tomorrow.

Its my off day later too. That also means no off day on weekend :( I hate to work on weekend esp Sunday! Nonetheless, i will be going to dearie place to discuss the upcoming trip. Argh! Another trip? So fast? Somebody said my company is paying me well. NO! I would like to put it this way, i am more willing to spend my money on travelling. hahha.. Where i will be heading to this time round? hahhaha... Will be made known very soon!

Meeting ups

Oh man! Went to watch Pleasure Factory with Larry and gang yesterday! The show reflects Singapore's sex industry. I personally feel the film is more like a student kind of production. I dunno how it got in to Cannes Festival. Nonetheless, i had many thoughts after watching the show. No matter how cosmopolitian a city is, sex sells. That is a fact.

I am just disgusted by the way some pple behave. If they go for paid sex, dun hide. If you wanna hide, then dun go. Some pple are just simply pretendious. I am against paid sex for sure. The tots of sleeping with someone who had just slept with another person disgust me. Somemore it is PAID! If the show reflects how our prostitudes look like, i am so sad. Damn lousy lor. Somemore from that country. aiyoooooooo... No wonder ah peis like!

Went clarke quay earlier to bitch with someone. Oh man! I wrote somewhere in the blog calling him a bitch or something. He requested me to take it down. Eh! KT you wait ah! hahahhaha... Once a bitch, always a bitch. You cant change! whahhaha... I got a shocked when he called me in his sexy voice. Wah Lau! I was still wondering who the hell was tat... hahahha...

Nonetheless, it was the usual bitching session. We want pay increment, more bonus, more advancement etc etc. Damn. So Singaporean. Always aiming for more money! We are indeed money slave. haiz...

Hits Award not Hip!

The stars attending the Singapore Hits Award were not enthusiatic. In fact, it was pathetic. As the highest regarded music award in Singapore, not many stars came. It may be a bad time i suppose. It was more like a mini gathering for some of the stars. The purpose of the event is to showcase and promote our local music industry. Sad to say, i dun think it serves that purpose.

This has been the third time i attended the Award Ceremony. I remember during the golden years, the tickets were almost sold out. Artise were very keen to attend. I am not sure what happen this year. Nonetheless, some of the fans are still very supportive. They really shouted and cheered for their favourite stars. All thanks to the most popular boyband "Farenheit"

Went to Dbl O for the theme party. Retro Metro Presents Summer Rain. Surprisingly, the halloween party was postponed to Wednesday, the exact day of Halloween. I am not sure why this move, when the others big boys are already hosting it on Saturday. However, they came up with the theme party to attract the crowd.

I heard there was a dance competition among the regulars. Our group lost! hahaha.. Well, the winning group has a lots of supporters. By the time i reach, the competition was already over. No chance to see how our group perform. The weekend was well spent. No more wkend off for me in this coming week. Argh! Really hor...

933 Hits Awards

Sad to say, the Prelude to Singapore Hits Awards this year is damn lousy. When I was going home from gym, I saw the event taking place. Oh man! The crowd is simply miserable! What have happened? It was not like this a decade ago. The worst thing is, the event is hosted by the highest rating station in Singapore and yet the crowd turnout is so miserable.

The turnout is comparable to the event hosted by their rival station 883, who is one of the lowest rating station here. I remember in the past, fans were crazy and would flock to the venue to see their favourite stars. Well, i was too cos i love radio so much! hahha.. Whenever there is a chance, Ken and me wont miss it. We love the Djs, the jingles and the event management except the celebrities. whahhahaha.... Funny rite?!

As i walked around the venue, i saw an image of myself in the past. I used to stand very close to the stage to catch a glimpse of the host! hahaha... Surprisingly, Bukoh is still standing strong as a Dj. I tot she might have felt the fans are fewer than what she had in the past. Jia Hui is indeed pretty. Young and sweet!

Of course, i wouldnt miss our dearest 933 Ah jie, Wai Sze! Who would miss the big eye lady? She was the poster girl for Giordano during those days. Whahhaa.. And yes, Veron Yeo, the chief of 933 was present! I saw many wannabes helping out. Oh man. Cheap labour? hahha.. I better take back my words. I was one of the volunteers too. Ha.. Helping them out for free, just to get close to the Djs. Crazy leh!

The actual show starts tomolo! Not much publicity though. I am attending. However, i might have to leave early cos the show ends pretty late. I am summoned to the theme party before midnight tomolo. Its halloween remember? hahhaha... Ok.. Let's see how i become superman again!

Tired lar

Tired.

I have been working long hours over the last few days. Yep. I think it has become a norm for many Singaporeans except those who do very operational work or probably in the civil sector. Oh man. I heard the civil servants are getting pay adjustment again. Why not me? hahha.. I was hoping if the private sector could do the same too!

I am totally worn out everyday since my last off day. Thankfully, i had a good time on Tuesday with Larry and gang. Yay! We went for a nice dinner at Chinatown with Kaz, Larry, David n Shijie. After which, it was chill out time at Winebos! Had some good wine, unfortunately, i broke a glass again :( I have expected a long week ahead, so decide to relax a bit before embarking on stressful task.

In fact, the assignment on last monday was not easy too. I hate it when pple slam their door on my face. Ha.. Have you ever get this kind of treatment before? I bet not many will, unless they are in the door to door sales line? hahha... Then it was rushing ard like mad. Well, that is common in my line. Nothing new. That explains why some pple chose a lower pay with minimal work.

I walked through little india today with my colleague. Damn. I have to carry a tripod tat weighs at least 4-5kg as i walk thru the place. To make things worse, the weather was freaking hot! Imagine me in long sleeve working like a coolie. hahhaha... However, it was an eye opener for me. I get to understand our Indian culture better. Its more like a heritage tour.

I am feeling so deflated now. Need to sleep early to fight another round tomorrow. I hope the day will be shorter and my task more easier.

Sleep.

40 Cities in 17 Countries

omg! I did a check on facebook and realise something. I have travelled to 40 cities in 17 countries. Oh man! Is tat an achievement? hahha.. Well, more will be added as i travel more. Remember my dream? To step upon the African continent before 30. I think its time to plan for a good trip next year to South Africa or Egypt. That will be my dream before i move on to my next phase of life.

I have been thinking hard on where are the places i have gone since afternoon. Damn. Melvin beat me by 13 more cities. hahha.. But i went to more countries. whahhaha... That freak hor. Really leh. Went to so many cities all ard the world. He even went to UAE and India! Good lar. That is wat i call travel to live. whahha...

Shyt! I have got so many places in mind that i wish to go. Canada, Scotland, UAE and Tokyo. oh man! Nevermind. I shall work very hard to get more money for my travelling expenses. hahahha.. Its an expensive hobby. However, it is something that i think i wont save on. I love to see the world. I love to see how pple live. hhaha.. I am just bored with the kind of life style back home. Our country is simply small n boring. haiz..

Weekend Rambling

Chat over the phone with Lilian last nite. I really feel very happy for her. All these while, she has been procrastinating over work and love. Its over friend! She has found her dream job and will be in Seoul for the next few months. Lovely. I told her to visit the spa more often! Well, wat envy me is when she said she will take a short break to Japan after her project. Korea and Japan is like an hour flight? Damn! hahahha... I hope she will enjoy everything!

As for me, i am still stuck at the same old place. Felt very tired after working for many days. David msg me if i will go Dbl O later, i told him i should be. I am just too "sian" with work. I need something to perk me up a bit. His reply was "same". hahaha... To lead a life of rushing ard wasnt fun. The fact is i am already used to it. I look fwd to Sat for tat short break.

I was having dinner at the canteen since Thurs. I bet there must be some major production or something coming up. I met Cynthia Koh, Darren Lim, Li Teng, Jason Tan, Terrance Cao and Star Search Finalists. Pretty girls and handsome boys. If you were to ask me about pretty faces, sometimes its really hard for me to determine! hhahaha...

Shall take a little nap before heading out. Fully packed day too! whahaa... Cheers pple! Enjoy your weekend!

Date with 迷路兵

迷路兵! Yes, i met them 2 days ago while buying afternoon tea. Yeah! I found them familiar when i first saw them. On second tots, i realised it was 迷路兵. Nonetheless, i was queueing behind 2 of them. Well, i wanted to drink milopeng on that day. So, imagine wat is going to happen next. I was embarrassed, so were them. hahhaa..

"What do you want?"
"Erm.. Uncle, Milo ice."
"Hah? Milo hot ah?"
"No! I want Milo cold"
"MILOPENG!"

Omg! He shouted so loud that 迷路兵 felt a bit uneasy. I pretend not to look at them while i search my wallet for money. I am not sure if they think i was trying to play punk or if the uncle is trying to be funny. But it was funny at that moment lor! Damn! Hahahha.... I think 迷路兵 bought tea or coffee or something. hahha...

I was telling one of my colleague, larry and zhiwei. Wah lau! Zhiwei was laughing and make fun of it. Good ah you! Anyway, this is the first time i met 迷路兵. I guess it will be a memorable one for me. whahhaha... 迷路兵! By the way, i placed my bet on them during the competition. They won! Well done 迷路兵!

Tough Question

I wanted to sleep but decide to blog a while. Well, i posted a question to dearie earlier regarding relationship. In fact, it was from the serial "The Drive of Life" again! hahhaa... Oh man! The show has not ended yet. I think there are 50-60 episodes. Ha.. I am already into the 40 episodes. whahha.. ok back to the question.

1) Would you love someone who hurt you badly? Or
2) Would you hurt someone who loves you badly?

That was the question posted by Raymond's mum when he had a choice between Chermaine Seh and Myolie Hu. I was in fact very touch when the mum asked the question. It actually straighten Raymond's tot. However, eventually, it is still..... I shall not reveal much. Wait till you guys get a chance to watch the serial.

To me, it is definitely a difficult choice. hahhaha... Like wat dearie said, we may not even have the answer. I am not sure if it has happened in real life. Probably it did. If not, why would the producers able to come up with such a scenario. Afterall, life is like a movie. hahahha...

Alright pple, think abt it. I am going to bed. I plan to wake up early for gym. hahha. Dun wanna waste my membership.

Pretendious

I am so crazy over "The Drive in Life". I almost cried when i saw Chermaine left Raymond out of family revenge. Ok. Typical Hongkie serial. I cant believe one would forgo their relationship for a revenge. The thing is when both started the relationship, Chermaine din know it was Raymond's family who killed her mum indirectly. Are human being really tat hard hearted or they are just purely pretendious?

Recently, many things have been going on ard me. I realise many pple are just trying to hide behind their mask. A righteous person one day turn evil tempting others to join in his league. I am not sure if the person turn evil or probably all these while he/she has been evil and is just tat i have never realise it. Pretty digusted to learn abt the fact. If given the choice, I would choose not to know the truth.

On the other hand, some who claimed that they can accept all kind of things are not reflecting their truth self either. Pretendious? A friend said we are always wearing all kind of mask everyday to shield our actual self. The mask is a form of self protection. Is that true? I really dunno. One can proclaim loudly he/she is open to opinion, in fact, he/she is not. Human beings tend to act differently. Chinese proverb says "Kou Bu Dui Xin".

Who can u believe these days? Like Ngai Tin Hang in "The Drive of Life" says, you can only believe in yourself. Never trust anyone cos only u make the decision for your life. Someone who wants to make it big, needs to have plenty of self confidence and dare to make decision in life. Unlike those who are pretendious, where their tots do not match their actions. Oh man. I really take the serial to heart liao. hahahha

Shall continue the show now....

Romance in Suzhou

I was watching "The Drive for Life" when i suddenly recalled something. Hahaha... There was this scene when Raymond Lam cycled Chermaine Seh around Beijing! Oh man, it was so romantic! Though it is in Beijing, but i mean it was damn cool lor. I almost melted when i saw them cycling ard the park. Imagine it was me with dearie. FUN!

It was then tat i remembered an incident. Ha. I guess dearie probably din even know cos i almost forgot abt it. Heh! I cycled ard Suzhou Campus with one of the female undergrads too! whahhahah! Come to think of it, they were really some "romantic" memories! I nearly forgot abt this till i saw Raymond Lam cycling with Chermaine! I wonder if Lilian still remember? The girls sent me off when I left Suzhou for Hangzhou! Oh man!

10 years ago, when i was a poly student, i did an internship in China. I still remember it started with a study tour in Beijing for 10 days. Then it was 3 weeks in Suzhou. To get us accustom to the life in China, Suzhou university arrange a group of undergraduates with us. We meet regularly and they brought us round Suzhou.

There were a few campus for Suzhou University. I remember we cycled from one campus to the other. The campus was very authentic, with nice trees and ancient kind of buildings. It was quite romantic lor. I cycled with one of the girls at least once. It was in the evening, before sunset. Wah liao! Romantic mah?

There was once when i couldnt ride properly on the road cos of the enormous numbers of bikers in China. I remembered i fell off the bike with my pillion rider! In the end, i had to cycle alone but still with them thru the narrow streets of Suzhou. Recalling it now, I still find it romantic! ha... However, nothing happened! During that time, i never believe in a relationship. If not, my relationship might have started with a Suzhou girl!

I am not sure if i am friendly or able to present myself well, some of the girls seem to like me a lot. When i left, two came and sent me off personally. I cant remember their name le. I only know my fellow SP mates saw the whole thing while they waited in the bus! Some asked if I was together with one of them, others were making fun of me. I think i MAY be the only one having some girls to send me off. whahhaha... I guess Lilian might remember too? hahahah... correct me if i am wrong!

Watching "The Drive for Life" really brings me memories of the days i stayed in China. The one in Suzhou was unforgettable. hahha.. I should visit Suzhou one day to bring me back more fun memories of the past!

Holiday Over

It will be back to office tomolo! The holiday season is over! It is time to work hard and struggle hard again. Oh man! If you asked if i miss work? My answer would be i miss holiday more. whahah... How i wish if i can have more leave to go for more holidays. I am still thinking if i should go hongkong and macau or to go tokyo to clear my remaining leave.

TOKYO???? That would be pretty expensive leh. I have to think carefully this time for the next trip. I intend to clear them next year. In the mean time, i will be in Singapore for the next 2 months. My bank account need to recuperate. hahaha.. Once bonus is in by Dec, it is time to ROCK again! How how? hahahha....

Had a good rest today. Been watching TVB's "The Drive to Life" over the last 2 days. As usual, i finish 10 episodes within 2 days. Thats me. Ha.... I will watch another few more tonite. This is one of TVB's major production to celebrate Hong Kong's 10 Anniversary returning to Mainland Rule. Unlike Tang Xin Feng Bao, those who were not cast in that serial were seen here. All the Ah Ge and Ah Jie.

Except Raymond Lam. Damn. He is super popular in Hong Kong. He was featured in both dramas. I seriously believe once u r in luck, it will come all the way. At such, it is necessary to seize all the opportunities on hand. I love this new drama too. Charmaine Seh and Jessica Hester Hsuen were in the show too. Yeah!

Its a coproduction with CCTV. I am also interested to see how it is like in Mandarin. Cos those shot in Beijing were mainlanders actors. Their voice have been dubbed with cantonese. I believe when CCTV air on tv, it will be Mandarin for sure. Chinese actors will use their original voice but those TVB's actors will be dubbed with Mandarin. Interesting!

Oh yes, while on my way home earlier, i witness a minor accident. This Malay couple was riding a bike. Somehow, the driver din drive properly and both landed on the road with a loud "thud". I was standing at the traffic junction, talking on my handphone. I put down my phone and offer help. They were fine except some scratches. The bike was a bit out of shape as it fell on the road. Nonetheless, they said they are ok and i went off.

Alright, its time to continue my TVB serial! I heard Big Foot is dropping by tomolo. Whaha.. Time to PK with him again. whahahha....

Back from Kingdom

I am finally back after a 4 day retreat to the kingdom. Yesh. This time is pretty amazing and fun. It is good to move out of the city into the more heartland of the country. Interesting as we travel ard the less touristy area. I must say Thais are getting rich. If the country continues to prosper, i am very sure they can be one of the best country in Southeast Asia.

Compare to the last trip that i went, which is 18 months ago, Bkk has indeed sprung up. Many new buildings, offices and even hotels. Roads are still jammed. I am surprise more Thais are able to communicate in English now. You dun even need to feel uneasy when you arrive in Bkk. I heard the BTS and subway are extending their lines to serve the suburbs. Excellent. The next time, you could just hope on BTS and will reach the city from the airport in a short time. No more traffic jams.

However, i spent quite a bit this time. Over the last few days, we had good food. Ha.. Not the usual roadside stalls. Instead, we went to restaurants and exp places to eat. Well, if you are to compare to Singapore, it is still cheaper. Nonetheless, the one that i like best is Talay Village, which is located near RCA. Pretty nice place, with live band and good performances. Food was NICE. Thanks to Ed and Amy.

We also went Chinatown for sharkfin. ha.. Well, the usual place for good food. The former WTC has been renamed as Central World. OMG! It was a super huge shopping centre, at least twice or thrice bigger than Vivocity. As for the outskirt, there was Esplanade, the same name as our Esplanade. Ha.... Its more like Compasspoint to me. Then there was Robinson, which reminded me of JB's Holiday Plaza. Its really outskirt cos i dun see much tourists.

We din go to any of the night market cos none of us is keen to buy pasar malam stuff. Neither did we go to Chatuchak. Ha.. Well, its hot and infested with our countrymen. You will meet many many Singaporeans in Chatuchak, which i hope to escape from. Ha... We opted to go to the suburbs instead. More peaceful and more thais. hahahaha...

We spent most of our nite at many clubbing places. Ed said he had brought us to almost the entire clubbing scene of BKK. Whooo......... There was nice. Ha.. I must say its good and revitalising. Different and indeed exotic from the usual club we had in Singapore. The clubs played nice songs and put up good shows. Kinda of fun. Had black label for 2 nights. We still have a bottle there. If anyone needs to club in BKK, let me know and we can finish the bottle! whahahha....

Holiday season is finally over. It is time to face reality again. Will be resting for 2 days before i head to work. I hope i am fully charge till the end of the year.

Kingdom Excursion

Oh man! Its another excursion to BKK. Yesh! Its me again. I am going to be a permanent resident of BKK soon. Countless time there. Ha.. Am i having a second wife there? hahhaa.. Well, its time to report to the Kingdom again lar. I went there last year in March, wow, more than 18 months le. I heard many changes took place in BKK. It time to rock again.

As usual, it will be food! Yep! I love authentic thai food. The more spicy the food get, the more happy i will be. whahha... Yay, the mang-muang, kwai tiao, roasted duck. OMG! I am drooling now! Second on the list is shopping?? hahha.. Din buy much when i was in Sydney. This time, may do a little more shopping. Oh yes, will be dropping by Erawan Shrine too.

Ed will bring us to some non-touristy area. I hope so. hahha.. Anyway, the trip this time is no agenda. Everything is OTOT. Good lar. I want to relax too. Opps! I know i just got back from Sydney but who would resist for more time to relax? Thankfully, i am taking Airasia, which means i dun have to go to the "out of the way" budget terminal.

Intend to leave early from home for breakfast in terminal one. whooo.... Yay! The one tat overlooks the plane and everything. Know where? Ask me n i will tell u. whhahaa... Time to sleep. Will update my Xth trip to BKK when i am back! Kup kup kup!

Mediaworks Era

Busy over some miscellaneous things recently. Some disputes here and there. Fortunately, it was resolved eventually. This is a late october entry. It's the fourth day into october and i started blogging. Well, time passes very quickly. We are at the last quarter of 2007. Thats really fast. It will be the start of a new year soon.

Was out with dearie on tuesday. Whooo.... So lovely. I kinda like the feeling of all yours. That was wat i told her. We chilled out at the usual place. Enjoy the sea breeze, though there wasnt. ha... Gossip abt the usual stuff. Oh man. And we drank a bit. If life could be so relax every day, it would be good. I guess we are workaholics. Day in Day out, it is work, work and more work.

Oh yes. I recalled what i wanted to blog. The winding up of SPH Mediaworks. Yep. hahaha... More than 2 years ago, before Mediacorp took over Channel U, SPH was running the show. If you recall, i have written on this same blog 2 years ago. I was searching thru you tube when i saw the last transmission of Channel U and Channel I news.

It was really sad to see the end of a channel. According to sources, many SPH stuff were very demoralised with the closing down of Mediaworks. Channel U's last bulletin at 10pm was interesting. Tat's the last time we see Helen Chong and Yan Qing on TV. After which, they really disappeared into thin air! Helen was unusually calm. Yan Qing couldnt hold her emotion and was already in tears as she read the last few lines.

Clips of how the news team started n how they functioned went on air. I saw a couple of familiar faces. Most were crying and sad by the fact that the channel will be taken over by Mediacorp soon. I could sense the strong bondings in them. Something that i cant see at my workplace. It should be a fun place to work in. However, it has been proven that Mediaworks could not compete head on with Mediacorp. I would call it expected! I mean it is only a matter of time.

Now things have gone back to the old days of a monopolise TV station. I guess no harm too. Afterall, viewers do forget abt the days when the 2 rivals compete. Now its gone, everyone takes things for granted. I think pple are getting used to it. Or put it this way, Singaporeans are of the same character. Accept watever its been given!
